This one should be able to lay eggs already, as she's all grown up. It is an American Silky.

Edit. Family photo!

thanks for sharing! i've got a pretty massive urban garden going now, always adding to it.

do you have chickens in a city? apparently its one of those things here that, while requiring a permit etc, ends up coming down to how the neighborhood feels about them. i'd love some if i wasn't worried about early-morning chicken noise.
We don't need a permit but there are some rules about noise and smells. The rooster wasn't a problem for anyone we asked, and yet someone called the city to complain about him, so I gave him to a friend.

Pet update: The rabbits (who I've started calling the "problem potatoes") are living in the same room now, although divided by a grid wall.

This one really puts into perspective how big Red is at the moment (being 5.6 lbs vs Lili's 5.5).

And yes, keeping the room clean with two unbonded rabbits is a bit of a nightmare.

My parents also adopted this Aussie doodle yesterday, a 1 year old boy named Ziggy.

Sleeping with his eyes open, so if one of my french fries hits the floor...
I had two cats. I had no idea a cat would eat a French fry until I dropped on and my girl cat was all over it. From then on I always wiped the salt off of a few fries and gave them to her. My other cat, a boy, never cared for them.

Trying to bribe the missus for food.

You can just see him running after his frisbee middle left, left of the felled tree.

And when he’s done chasing the frisbee, it’s time to lay down. He goes through 2L of water when running around and he’s still wanting to chase after it, we have to put and end to it otherwise he’d go till he dropped.

Silly Tan (not my smartest cat) managed to get herself caught in a trap that security had put down at the neighbourhood entrance to arrest strays.

She’s got some minor injuries to her face and claws from trying to escape but I’ve washed it and applied antiseptic cream. Poor little thing. I doubt she’ll be doing that again.

I think Jack and Jill were happy about the 7 inches of rain we received.

EDIT: He managed to get this muddy in ten minutes. Shaking my head. 😂
