The fleet:

Plus the car in the avatar, that's identical to the beige one behind the blue one :)

I am, it's just that I've been driving 5000 miles on two different roadtrips in the last three weeks, plus that I'm in the process of moving 200 miles away and having to clear out a garage and half a house in the next week. I also have to build up the white car if I can source the parts I need, and tomorrow I might have to transport a set of wheels for a buddy. In addition to that, I've got to do some work to the blue car, rebuild the rear brakes, raise it and get it state inspected, so getting tires on the Atiwes and make them fit isn't exactly on the top of my list to do right now :)

It makes me happy that people are paying attention to the little blue car though :) The Atiwes will be on it eventually, I just gotta find time for playing around with the car. I'm keeping the Turbos also though, I've found a set of Turbos for the beige KE70 as well, haha..

Gotcha, I forgot about your thread where you drove all over. But the gold rims should look pretty cool on there once you get them on.

'murrrcan parking only
finally a spot i can open the door in :dopey: and its right outside work too
Nice to see some big ol' iron over in ol' Blighty. I've never seen the American-shaped
UK plate before, I didn't know they existed.

I saw a surprising amount of Firebirds (3 in 10 days) during my trip to Spain 11 years
ago; how hard is it to get parts/maintenance, just out of curiosity?

On page 181 (the previous page) I posted my new car.. Well, it's slightly different now..

I enjoyed this car for 20 days. Now it's a wreck. Damnit! Getting a new one soon :)

Yeah I'm fine, and I was the only person in the car.. Just looking for a new car, I don't know what to buy now..

Less than a month and you already wrapped it around a pole?! Ok, now you have to tell us what happened!

Sorry to hear, but atleast you're alright and the car can be replaced, but seriously, what the hell were you up to?!

its not really an american shaped plate, it is an option to have a two line plate if its obvious it wont fit otherwise, i think its possible to have 3 lines too!
they are the more common beasts over here, next to mustangs and not counting 32 fords  getting parts can be tricky, the internet is friend! a mix of ebay/parts meets and the odd parts dealer to get hold of parts. theres a reasonable network of them around the country, the place i used would get a gasket set by the next morning. small and service parts are usually in the country already in stock but larger parts, like the radiator i needed had to be imported in which took a few weeks. most owners do any work themselves plus specialist garages are scarce but i think most performance orientated garages are fine (apart from the one the previous owner took it to...) and as they are few and far between the ones in that line of work get a fair bit of the cool cars in and know em pretty well :P

This. His next car should be a Volvo.. C30 1.6 turbodiesel. That way he couldn't harm himself nor others

If you'd stopped before the 1.6 diesel bit that's actually a pretty good suggestion. I was trying to think of a good replacement candidate but a C30 would be a nice unusual choice. Something like the R-design model, and maybe with either the 5-cyl petrol or turbodiesel units.

Pity to see the SEAT smashed though, was a fantastic looking car.

I'd agree with the pole, except that the impact area seems WAY too wide. Any pics of the other side? It looks like someone hit it, and then it rode up the pole, knocked of over.

Still, it's just a SEAT.

Took this from the company vehicle with my blackberry. I just liked the way it looked sitting there lol.

That's a bit harsh. Although they aren't the cars to end all cars like forza2.0 used to pretty much claim, they're still very good and the Leon in particular is a very nice car indeed. Current Civic, 1-series and aforementioned Volvo C30 possibly excepted, there's not a car in that class that I'd prefer over the Leon. And only the Civic gets close on price.

What the? Does the car look 'riced' to you?

I think you misunderstand. I read his comment as questioning if a ricer hit him. I don't think he was referring to the car itself.

Hi to all.. I'm going to try to say what happend and how further.. Sorry for my bad English!

I was going through a corner at low speed (60km/h) in rain. In the corner I changed lanes to the right, at that moment when my tyres hit the white lines the car turned around and I hit a pole backwards. The damage doesn't looks that bad, but to fix it costs more then the value of the car is today. The insurance company is going to give me the value of the car today, so I can get a new one. The value is close to what the car costed me. I am happy I don't have any injuries. I wasn't speeding, but it was dry for verry long and this was the first rain since weeks, so it was verry slippery and I wasn't really aware of that, so it's my own fault. Luckily I'm good insured so I don't have a big financial loss. I hope to get my money from the insurance next week and I want to buy the same car but in a different color. I am thinking of black, I want to go all black (black on black) with red interior.

Thanks for the support guys, I really fell in love with this car and it's still painfull to see it crashed..

That sounds pretty scary... Did you have stability control on? I know mine has saved me from a couple hairy situations in the wet. Or do those SEATs even have the same ESP system that goes into the Golfs?

At least you showed that pole who's boss. When I hit my telephone pole it just left a little smudge on the thing. And that probably washed off in the rain. Any chance that I could get my hands on those wheels? I'm thinking something that style would look pretty cool on the GTI.

Yes, SEAT uses the same ESP system as your Golf has.. SEAT uses the same technology as VW does. But I lost the rear and it never got back on track..

I got to say, your GTi looks sweet! Do you have any plans for the GTi?

You could get your hands on my rims but I won't recommend it, I live in The Netherlands and you in Seattle. My rims are real Audi RS4's, I think you should easily get your hands on those over there.. But I would go for the new Audi S8 rims for your GTi. I think that would look better. I'm selling my rims becaus I want to go black on black with my new car.

Yeah I'm the boss over that pole but it costed me my car.. What did you do, that you hit that telephone pole?
