Famine, keep us up to date on the progress though or at least let us know the thread you're going to be using to show everyone your car.
Details win our hearts so make sure that you don't miss any details. :D

+1

A guy in town did a engine swap in his MX-3, then added a supercharger. It wasn't the fastest thing in town, but it held its own. I'd love to see the swap step by step for this as well.

Well not just that but I'm supercharging my car as well with numbers that will be similar in power but probably alot more torque.
With alot of weight reduction I've done to the car, it should weigh about 2600 pounds and 2800 with me in the car.

Famine's lighter platform will give the power to weight alot of credence in getting into the low 13's and very high 12's.
I'll be lucky to hit a 14.0 but if I build this engine the way I want with custom cams and higher than stock compression, it could hit very high 13's with the right tune.

So please, keep us up to date on this so we can all drool together. :D

I'll atempt to drag this back on topic with a pic of my new baby.
Its a 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic. It has the 5.7 liter 376 under rated HP Hemi mated to a pistol grip shifted 6 speed (T6060) and 3.92 geared rear with a LSD. It runs on 20 inch factory rims mimicking the old style Crager mags.

I haven't been a huge fan of the Challengers since they've been released. However, that one looks pretty good, the colour, decals and rims all come together nicely. The LSD is a nice add on too!

Congrats on the purchase and hopefully she treats you good!

I saw a Challenger this morning in that same color. Prior to seeing one in that blue, I had mostly seen Challengers in Red and Orange and both colors are fairly uninspiring on the car. That blue on the other hand gives the car some character and I quite liked it. Enjoy! 👍

Thanks, gents. I#'m very interested in what the non-Americans think of a car like this. Or if your even aware of it.

Well, i'm from Canada, eh. I know I'm not as "non-American" as you'd like, but although I'm not a fan of the brand, the car is nice, especially glad that you got the 6 speed, and the color is very different. I give it a thumbs up. 👍

I think it looks fantastic, you do see the odd one about in England, there is one I see on my way to the Gym and it looks great, it does stick out a little, it looks massive compared to all the typical Euro hatchbox-bubbles that infest out roads.. but at least it doesn't take itself too seriously, which means it doesn't matter that it sticks out.

Looks good! 👍 I have really taken a liking to a light silver car with gunmetal/black/darker shade of grey wheels; the combination works quite nicely together.

Been a good while since I updated this but I've just finished putting a new engine into my golf to replace the tired old one.

Haha, that looks like my daily with the exception of less rust on the car.
I bet it gets good gas mileage though. :D
