đź‘Ť Very nice vr_ms3 I used to have a Mazdaspeed 3 myself as my daily driver. VERY quick right out of the box. It must be pretty crazy with 340 whp! If I remember correctly, and the information I was given was correct, the stock exhaust is pretty restrictive. If you haven't done so already, you might want to look into upgrading. You're probably good for another 20-hp alone from that.

Quick snapshot of my new Audi A4 Quattro - Not the best view from the front door on the drive but haven't had a chance to take it somewhere to take a decent picture.

2010...?

How is it? That is the station wagon, correct? I was about to buy a 2007 A4 Quattro. Still might.

Yeah, the torque steer was a bit crazy but manageable now, especially with an after market rear motor mount. Exhaust is all aftermarket - the downpipe had a cat and there was another one after it. The difference is pretty wild.

It's actually a 2005, first run of the newer facelift model. Yeah it's a wagon (or an estate as we call them). I love it, beautiful interior and it drives real smooth. Bose sound system is decent (but to be honest not up to the hype, a whole lot of sub bass so much I had to turn it down to the minimum... Still nicer than your average OEM system).

It's a lot better on fuel than I expected (2.0T just over 200bhp), the ÂŁ30 I put in it is still going strong after a few days and it thinks I can do another 75miles of civilised driving. It does occasionally have some issues with power delivery at 3000rpm though (where it will drop power and even lose some revs for like 2-3 seconds), it's apparently a really common issue with Audi A4's of the last couple of years (mine is a B7 2005-2008 era) that can be down to a number of issues. I've seen on the Audi Forums that some people fixed it with a simple fuel filter change, so I'l be doing that soon, others had to replace the mass airflow sensor, some people reporting it with fairly new cars with only 20k on them. So that is definitely worth watching out for when buying an Audi, I wasn't aware of it before buying.

Otherwise though its awesome, I'd say I expected it to be faster than it is. I previously had a 2003 Focus ST170, which was obviously a fair bit lighter and I'd say it felt faster, but that also drank petrol quite heavily.

Here is my other ride. RZ500 based YZR500 replica.

And the beastie boys side by side. The car is sporting last years setup - black roof, wheels, frog eye headlights and unpainted carbon fiber wing.

And Kaz needs to take note of what a modded Corvette actually sounds like - not like a bloody vacuum cleaner.

small update:
fitted ÂŁ3.20's worth of wolfrace alloys to the car, came with some
GIANT tires which will be thrown in the bin at some point,
but for now they just have to look good.

Favourite pic I've taken of my Miata so far.

Can someone tell me why it is that the fumes from the exhaust have left a black mark on the bumper? I have seen this on a couple of cars but have never had it happen to me ...thankfully. I am asking so I know how to avoid it ....no offense LeadFootLiam. I actually really like your car ...except for that black mark on the bumper.

Perhaps he's running rich.

Edit: Usually happens when you need new O2 sensors so you aren't burning more fuel than air.

What's that green "N" underneath?

We have Ls and Ns. L's are the people who are just learning to drive after their theory test, they must drive with a passenger 25 years or older with a full license, they must have their "L" or learners license for a year. After that they take a road test, to get their "N" or novice license, they have that for two years, and they can drive by themselves with any age person in their car. I get my full license this Novemeber, if I pass the road test.

N for "New" Driver.

Not new, novice. You have a year or more of driving under your belt when you get your N, by that time they are fairly comfortable at the wheel.

Fair enough, I stand corrected.

Either way, I still see that as a big "kick me" sign.

Or a big 'Im a new driver, I must be doing something wrong so pull me over' sign. We have something similar in New Jersey where any driver under 18 must have a 1.5"x1" red sticker on each license plate. There have been lots of issues with girls getting followed and cops that specifically target the stickers and will do anything possible to give them a ticket.
