Another crappy attempt at light painting. Attempted to do the "wind tunnel" effect.

 I totally forgot I have one of those locally! Mine's beat to hell though, and doesn't have that beautiful backdrop... inner-city, in an old part of town, bleh!

*ED. - yours looks so out of the way, I think I'd bring cones and make up a race track, lol. Plenty of pretty harmless runoff...

I'm about to do my first auto cross next month, got any advice?

1. Have fun! Don't worry about anything too much. Ask for a rides in other people's cars if the event allows, they are a great way to learn the course and have fun at the same time. Don't worry about hitting cones or spinning, that's part of the fun.

2. If the people running the event have a website read everything you can about how they run the events and any paperwork / pre-registration you may need etc.

3. Bring 2 sets of shoes, your favorite driving shoes, and your most comfortable shoes for all the standing around.

4. Bring an umbrella and, if you have one, a fold up chair. Optional equipment would be any "action" camera you can securely mount to the car ( GoPro, dashcam, etc). I wish I had video of my first run.

5. Don't care about your times relative to everyone else.

6. If the opportunity comes up to have a "fast" driver ride with you TAKE IT. Having someone tell you how you could improve will help a lot. Also if someone with experience has a similar car as you and most importantly similar tires ask for ride! Then you can get a feel for what you are doing right and/or wrong in your car.

7. Have Fun!

Another shoot with my friend. He finally got some wheels from his brother's 240SX.

Just a guess... but are they Varrstoens? Nice wheel for the car regardless. TE's are one of those wheels that tend to look good on anything.

Finally got some time to take some good pictures of my 944. Also thinking about painting my brake calipers but I'm not sure what color I want to do yet either yellow or red.

I would think yellow is a dangerous color to paint calipers in the Porsche community. Doesn't that, from the factory, mean it's equipped with carbon ceramic discs?
