These were taken the morning before I took my RSR lowering springs out. It looked so good then, wish I kept the springs to put back in.

Looks or ride comfort? Can't decide now because the springs really improved handling in some situations and now that I have sorted my suspension out I really do want something lower. Although thinking about how impractical the car became for being able to drive it anywhere without smashing the front lip maybe I don't want to go that low.

A few shots from my last HPDE event of the year. These are live linked to the photographer's site, hence the watermark. The car will go into winter storage soon so I'm going to try and take a few 'glamour' shots myself if the weather is half way decent. Unfortunately, at this point it looks like rain both days this coming weekend. And I'm slowly running out of time. Once the leaves are gone and everything is dead and brown, it all looks rather dreary.

It wasn't as dark as it looked in the last photo. But the sky was overcast and it was bloody cold and windy and I was pretty much struggling for grip the whole day. Sunday was marginally better. :)

It actually hit the freezing mark on Saturday night and I had to scrape ice off the windshield on Sunday morning. I remember thinking to myself, this really doesn't bode well. But the sun stayed out and the track surface warmed and it was much more predictable than it had been, despite the chilly ambient temperatures. That is, until the skies opened up, the temperature dropped and it poured with rain after session 2.:ouch: But it was great while it lasted.

The plan is to move up to a light weight 8" wheel over the winter and onto something a bit more hard-core like a Toyo R888 in 235/40/17, compared to the Dunlop Z2s in 215/45/17 that I'm currently using.

What engine?

Multi Air 150, Sprint Edition

No clover leaf they only do them in TCT now and I still like a Manual plus the money I save'd will go towards a Guilia hopefully in a few years ;).

It's a corolla, what are you worried about? Oh you went to VTNZ. lol bad idea. Maybe go to a real garage next time.

Haha, I hear ya. We went there since my dad needed one too and there's a 20% discount if you get two cars done at the same time.

But yeah, not a fan of VTNZ. A few years ago we'd get failed for the ball joints 'leaking' - just because Subaru needed to sell more of the part. :indiff:

Does that L plate mean you have your licence now?

Sure do! Took it for a spin for the first time yesterday. :D

That's just terrible. They make up so much BS there.

I hope you don't mean spin literally? good on you, just stay off the road tomorrow afternoon, bunch of holiday makers coming home causing havoc haha.

Had to drive through rain on the Aprilia last week, reminded me how nice a car was in bad weather. I sold mine two years ago since I was going with public transport a lot, but that changed last few months. My dad uses his car a lot less than usual and we live only a few miles from each other, so his car was more here than there :P He almost had to ask me if he could use his own car... He has a sedan and it drives nice, but I prefer hatchbacks and stationwagons. I didn't had 1 brand in mind so I started looking at gasoline VW Golf V, Seat Leon, Ford Focus, Opel Astra, Skoda Octavia.. Found some nice ones with okay mileage, keeping in mind these cars are 7 to 10 years old. The Golf V's I liked were all a bit above budget, most of them didn't had nice options on them and honestly the Golf dash without the navigation doesn't look pretty. Also all very high mileage. I have owned two Seat Leons (2006 and 2007) and was pretty happy with them but the quality was hmmm... Very noisey car. Had some small problems here and there too. I've had two Civics (EK and EM1) but looking at the ~2005-2007 models I only like the Type-R :P I've had an Opel Vectra and my dad had several ones so started looking at Opels and saw this Opel Astra.

It has done 82 miles, is from 2005, 5-gear manual 1.6l 4 banger gasoline. I checked the history and it had two owners, the second one is the company selling it so that was a plus. It had some scratches here and there, most obvious one were around the passenger door handle, the wife must've worn a pretty big ring... It has a panorama roof which can open, automatic lighting, automatic wipers, air conditioning, cruise control, buttons on the steering wheel. I liked those options very much. Haven't had a panorama roof before!

Tailhook is ideal for the motorcycle trailer so I can bring it to the circuit. Drove it around for a bit and bought the car :D It needs inspection in December so he's going to service the car now and also gets the inspection done so I don't have to worry for at least a year. He thinks I can pick it up the end of next week..

Now thinking about tinting the windows and a mod for the radio so I can listen to music through the phone.

Love that track.
