Just had my Impala inspected, and a faulty sensor in the air intake caused me to get a reject sticker. :nervous: There goes $275 on a car worth 1800.

Well, it's my parents car, but since it's the only one we have (and I get to drive it), might as well post it.

Behold the mighty 2001 Renault Scénic RHE 2.0 8V with a whooping 115hp!

That front design looks...peculiar. I can't make the right analogy to it because I (quite literally) have no idea what to compare it to.

As long as it's a good car and reliable, should be good.

(psst, are Renaults good in general?)

They are good, they have their problems (like every 15 year old car) but they are reliable.

Hey at least you can go full throttle everywhere doing normal daily driving haha. MY first car was a old 5 speed Chevy S-10 omg i hated it but i liked the fact i could use all the power and not break the speed limit and still get 30 mpg haha

Well, there's that hahaha I don't get to drive it daily because my father does

but you proably drive it everyday, while I'll get to drive the Scenic on the weekends only.

I work about a mile away from home, so I don't really get to exercise mine much during the week either.

I should walk really, since short journeys won't do it any good, but... it rains a lot. And I walked all the time before I passed my test. I'm making the most of my new license!

Makes sense, I only got my license Monday, so I still haven't been able to take the car around. I might be on Friday, still not sure haha

At a rest stop in North Carolina, with two hours left to get to the state line. There was A LOT of traffic. Still fun going the speed limit when everyone else is 10-15 under.

I love your 'Murican highways for two reasons:

  • They actually have corners
  • Drivers actually have proper etiquette. *for the most part.. even on the autobahn in Germany you have idiots that refuse to move over.

You can never have too many maps...
This was about a half an hour away from the border

Still have to update my satnav in the car. It doesn't recognize my neighborhood so when I I park the car, I'm in the middle of nowhere :D

Total trip was 1689.1 km... had a couple trips to Uni.

^Which part of the U.S., dude? The ones around New England are a 🤬 mess of angry drivers.
Yes I know.. which is why I avoided the area completely

I cut up from West Virginia to Ohio and Pennsylvania. Barely touched New York just to get to Peace Bridge and there is a notable difference in the way people drive... they're just asshats... and then I crossed over to Canada. Don't even get me started on the morons we have that somehow managed to pass the road test.

Everyone in the metro around here is an asshat. That's a given. (Heck, someone almost hit ,y dad and I today when we went to get my Impala from the shop)

Out in the more suburban-rural areas, the traffic is much better.

Stay absolutely away from NYC and Boston.

O.T. the U.S. should do stealth tests to catch the bad drivers.

Anyways, like I just said, my Impala was in the shop for a new sensor, new wiring for said sensor and something that I think the mechanic called an AYC valve. The car suddenly perked up and it feels so responsive now!
