Contrary to what you may have been thinking, I'm definitely not talking about a significant other!

I'm referencing these marvelous things:

ooohhhhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaaa
Okay...I find that feature unnecessary for my own personal needs, but to each their own.

It can also be used to cool down the slice of pizza in your lap that you're just DYING to eat but know that the under cheese lava will end your existence.

ooohhhhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaaa
...my GS has something similar to that under the steering wheel.

Just ran VIR and Road Atlanta back to back, my first HPDE events with Chin Motorsports--really a great group of dedicated enthusiasts. I really had a tough time with the heat--almost 98*F ambient at Road Atlanta last Saturday and humid. I spent most of the off sessions in the air conditioned media room trying not to pass out and was putting ice packs in my helmet a few minutes before heading out on track. My body just doesn't do well under these conditions. And VIR wasn't really much better. I was drinking 5-6 liters per day but it still wasn't enough.

Road Atlanta Paddock - already 78*F at 6:45 am.

Heading home. This is when the UEL header and TRD exhaust go from sounding brilliant on track to a drill boring through your skull after 10 hours of highway crawl.

On Track - T1 - pulling about 1.2G (Bilstein B16s on the hardest setting) Believe this was on my solo check-out run.

On Track - top of the Esses. I never really pushed too hard, having just come to grips with the track, fighting fatigue and a slippery track.

VIR - In Car Shot - This was my out lap.

The heat was also murder on my Toyos. These tires only have 5 track days on them. I'm running -2.8 camber and I probably need to dial in a bit more. This was the left front and took most of the abuse.

VIR Paddock - it had rained hard the night before and the moisture just hung in the air like a giant sauna.

Nice! I should be doing a track day at Gingerman Raceway in Michigan on the 29th.

Finally got my damned headlights in.

Do I need to take night shots?

But when one things gets replaced, one thing needs fixing. A/C compressor needs replacing and a radiator cap.
If I dare use my A/C, the revs goes nuts, the belt squeaks, and then the ECU turns the A/C off triggering the A/C indicator lights. It's not surprising given how it takes for the air to get cold. Plus it's at the service interval for high mileage cars. No fighting it there.
