I like my images like I like my bacon, crispy. I've never really stared at a steering wheel before. Lovely experience, I must say![]()
My parents had one of those. The transmission started to throw out, but it lasted us 11 years or so after being purchased in 2003. We were in the Midwest as well, so it went through many winter storms and road trips too. I think it has a wide known problem with the electronics, which ours had a problem with.Man I wish I had a better camera. The sunset was really vivid and looked beautiful.

Getting closer to that eventual paint job. I've also been thinking about new rims. The ones it has now are plasticaps, and kind of gaudy ones at that. Maybe tri-spoke?
Mechanically, everything is in working order. There are some electrical issues here and there, like the console lights and a few cigarette lighters not working, though. Both of which can be fixed, but there are easier workarounds for a lot less money.I hope yours is functioning well.
And just like that, it's gone..![]()
Might be the last photo of it... thinking of selling it. It's just too damn expensive to run for me in my current situation with the job I have, so I think I'm going to have to put the Porsche dream on hold for a bit.![]()
Gorgeous! And just like that, it's gone..

Why do your Celicas look so weird? We never got the sedan versions here, the closest we got was the ST204 Curren but it had normal long headlights rather than the two round ones like the ST20* Celica. We only got the liftbacks.
How many bloody Toyotas do you have now???
I wish I had the money/space to buy all the cars you do.
But then again, if I did, I'd end up with no money or space again. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The notchback/coupe is not a common model here in NZ. Most of our cars are JDM imports and I don't think that model was available in Japan so they don't make their way here. The *T16* ST18* and ST20* Celica notchback cars are only in non Japanese markets such as the US. The only one you see all the time here is the ST204 Curren like I said before but it's not a Celica in external appearance, just the underpinnings. What's different about them? You guys never got a notchback version?
I would've loved a lift back but they're way too hard to find in any condition so as long as it's a 5 speed I can't be picky.

Hehe Alltrac Turbo. Need to get yourself a GT-FOUR!! A real car.Ahh gotcha. Wasn't aware that they were only available as a lift back here. Even in the states they seem to be very uncommon, though to be fair any 4th gen Celica is pretty uncommon now especially a GT-S. I see a lot of 5th and 6th gen notchbacks, though the 5th gen GT-S and Alltrac turbo were only available as lift backs.

The notchback ST18* is fairly common here in Australia, too. Which is a shame, because they are ugly as sinThe notchback isn't just US but it's not a JDM model from what I can see. If it is it's very rare there
