It's actually a 66 plate Fabia, so the new 1.2 turbo. A tiny engine made for economy, not sound, so that's probably why it's lacking slightly. It still pops though, just the rest of it isn't very loud.
Ah right. A lot of these new cars seem to have a really boring sound to them. It's bizarre. They're either silent and over-refined, or fake, like the Jaguar F-Type. I heard the V8S in person last week, and I honestly prefer the noise of a 10-plate Suzuki Swift 1.2. Or my Volvo with its 2 litre 4 cylinder. At least it's real.

Bought a few photos from last Saturday, wasn't cheap with some at 10 Euros a piece...

Here with Jay (from R-Garage) as instructor next to me and my mate in his ITR behind me

I'm just so in love with the Nordschleife now. After driving it digitally for some many years you know the track, but driving it in real life is just pure awe. Those height differences are pretty impressive, the feeling of being pressed into your seat vertically while entering a corner fast is a weird sensation. The Karussell is everything you expect it to be: totally nuts. My first lap was with Jay and the next three were with my mate next to me.

On my instruction lap a few GT3 RS' flew by

Karussell in lap 2 and the last bit of the lap

The gearbox was in normal mode and driving it fully auto, on lap 3 and 4 it was in sport mode. I'll upload 3 of 4, whichever is more interesting but I haven't received those yet. Forgot my SD card so he sends them to me soon :P

It was the ride of my life, haven't had this much fun with a car before! :D

I am sooo envious right now:bowdown:👍:)

What do you guys have for suggestions with removing rail dust on a white car? I've noticed more little rust spots on top of my car. I've read a clay bar will work. Any "made at home" solutions?

Almost a month of owning a nice car, I manage to scrape the right lower side skirt (RHD) and a little bit of the rear rim on the side concrete/kerb (see pic below) because I turn to the right too early. This resulted in somehow the right rear tyre went up on the side concrete and heard the dreaded "scratching" sound . (Sorry no pic of the rim)

(The pic above was taken 1.5 hours before the thing happened)

This was 2 weeks ago. It has been Touch up by a reputable independent car paint shop and only costs me approx. £90, rather than paying the dealership almost double of that.

Edit:

my car Paint is Carmine Red, one of the 3 "special" colours (~£2500 optional extra in my country) available when this was specced, which the other 2 was Lava orange and Miami Blue.

My rims are 20 inch Carrera Sports wheels(IIRC costs almost £3k from UK configurator) with Satin Platinum finish (£650).

Iron X or something similar should do it. Claybar should clean up the rest.

I got hit with a crazy hellstorm last month right when I left work. It was pounding Sid full force and I couldn't see an inch ahead. It only lasted for 2 minutes, but the wind was still blowing hard. It looked like it was raining sideways.

God damn that cross is ugly! Should've taken a leaf out of the older Panda 4x4's book and stayed stubtle. Or gone full Suzuki Jimny :D

The standard 4x4 is still quite subtle, the Cross just got extra plastic trims and better wheels.

If only I could find an AE86, my 1980s Toyota performance cars collection would be complete

You will need an SW20 in there too. They were released in 1989 in Japan.

Also depends on what you class as 80s performance. You'd need to add things like the Century, Turbo T powered Corollas, Chaser, Cresta, Crown, Mark II, Soarer, Sprinter, Starlet and a Supra. The AE86 isn't exactly a fast car, but it's sure fun.

My dad's is just out of frame, if that counts. I didn't want the red Celica in there because I was going by US model years, but didn't care enough to shuffle them all around. :P

But again, mostly going by US models. I guess I could count the Starlet but that was never marketed as a performance car. But I'd bet! I don't think I'll ever have the opportunity to drive an unmodified AE86, but I can only imagine how much fun a 4AGE would be in that layout. I think I'll likely have to settle with an AE92 or FX16 GTS.

Yeah the US market is a bit different. I was listing the Japanese Market.

The Starlet may not have been marketed as a performance car but, well just watch this.
