I belive it's the second generation Maxima. It was a great little car!

My Altima was around $20,000, but you can get it much cheaper now.

V-6 Altima might have more power, actually. Unfortunately, mine is a 2.5S, so it's a four-banger(damn good one though). Altima SE-R's supposedly have even more power than the regular V-6.

It gave my wife and I a new respect for Volvos, and less than a month after returning to the States, we bought a brand new '98 S70 T5 (the 236 HP model).

My dad's got one of those (but a '99). Is yours manual?

No, we bought it primarily for my wife to drive, and she's strictly an automatic driver. But with the auto on the Sport setting, it's a pretty decent slushbox. And with peak torque at 2100 RPM, I rarely feel the need to induce a "kickdown"...

Motor: D16Z5(124hp) 2"exhaust whit DC-sports 4-2-1 ..homemade Icebox whit JR-filter..larger throttlebody(64mm) and matchported intake

Yep, its not as quick as the 4cyl turbos but its not lacking by any means.

Well stock for stock the vr6 has an upper hand. As long as its the same years. A 99-01 1.8t is only 150hp and the vr6 172hp. The 02-04 1.8t has 180hp and the vr6 has 201hp. Once a 1.8t is chipped its a new animal...it picks up about 30-40 hp because the boost is upped. Since the vr6 isnt force induced a chip can only up the fueling...so you only get ~10hp...but MK4 VWs arent that great for turning into a "racecar".....With a few grand you can get both vr6 and 1.8t up to respectable numbers. Ive seen quite a few hit 300+hp. Thats alot for a FWD car.

1983 Datsun 280zx Turbo:

These are 3 year old pictures. Car was two grand from a redneck guy who was going to turn it into a drag race car...unfortunately it has no power steering anymore.
The engine bay has been cleaned and shes got new suspension (Tokico) with a 1" drop, custom 3" no cat, no muffler exhaust system, Custom K&N Cai...New Interior..'91 crx reapolstered seats swap. Most of effort went into restoring her to near mint condition. Frame rails will be replaced this winter most likely..
Sorry, nothing more recent on this computer. It is stored during winter months, during that time my daily driver is a 2003 eclipse.
