What engine is in this beast?

It's a 22RE, 2.4 SOHC, not sure if you ever got that where you are. They used it in the 84-95 Pickups and first and second gen 4Runners. It's really slow.

I know you could get 4AGEs and if I'm not mistaken 18RGs in them in Japan and other markets, so we got some lame engine choices, but we never really got many interesting engine choices in Celicas.

I don't know too much about the older Celicas but I know the 18R and the 22R are quite common engines. It's crazy how they made it to 22 versions of the R engine platform. Most only make it to 3 or 7.

Always thought that was interesting, the later ones are fairly similar too from what I've seen. We never got any R series engines with a G head though.

Into storage you go, farewell for now!

Detailed the new headlight. Installed. Detailed the other one. Proper pics tomorrow, after a nice car wash :D

Went for a drive and thought would take some proper pics of our new addition to the family.

2007 Mercedes-Benz ML350. I detailed it, and my parents take it for its maiden journey through unpaved side roads :grumpy:

All you guys posting snow pics and it hasn’t dropped below 30*C here in ages

I bought an '83 Celica GT-S because I have a problem View attachment 718954
I know a bloke building one of those as a drift car. Last I heard it was getting a Ford Cleaveland engine soon :)

And seeing as this isn’t the “post a pic of your mates car” thread, the 300c finally got its splitter today :D

Yea yea don't rub it in  .... It hurts when you're frozen numb :(

We enjoy the small victories in "Spring". It was actually 2 degrees on that lake. Frickin terrifying hearing the echoes of the ice breaking in the distance.

Saw a crack stretching several metres appear in an instant just a few feet from me and said screw the photos and got out of there.

I'm sure it was fine, but as a noob I'm not gonna take my chances.

That's rad, though would be cooler with a Toyota 1UZFE. :P

A good friend of mine is building his '85 GT-S coupe for drifting, and replaced the stock 2.4 for the 2.4 turbo that they only used in 4Runners/Pickups but with a bigger CT26 turbo, and the steering rack has been swapped for a manual AW11 MR2 rack. I'm excited to drive it when it's all done. :D

And in posting this I realize that I have no recent photos of this car beyond this. It's not pretty but it should be fun!

Haven't got pics of my current car, because well, she ain't worth taking pics :P but it's almost identical to this one:

2010 Panda 1.2 petrol Dynamic, slow as a bicycle but thirsty as a 2.0 engine driven with some spirit. It's actually a car I share with my mother (it's hers tbh), but it's me driving it everyday to get to work. As soon as my working position becomes certain, first thing to do will be to return the little FIAT to the rightful owner, and buy my own car :D

Oh no! Sorry to see that. What happened ?

I was heading to a meeting and it was starting to get icy. I hit a slick spot, the rear end starting heading to the right, and the front to the left. Correcting did nothing. I was just along for the ride hoping not to get hit by anyone else and maybe stopping short of hitting any obstacles. Unfortunately, that did not happen.

After crossing across two lanes of traffic and the wide median shoulder, I became very good friends with the concrete median barrier. Fortunately, no other cars were involved. Other than leaving some paint on the concrete median barrier, which according to the highway patrolman was not a big deal, no property damage occurred. Most importantly, I walked away virtually unscathed, having just collected a large bruise on my wrist and needing a replacement watch spring bar.

My wife and I went for a bit of a house hunting cruise last weekend. It was great to get the new car out and about for a spin before it finally went in yesterday to have the wheelchair loader fitted. Apparently, according to the transport company, my loader was being held in customs for the last two months, which I'm more than a bit sceptical about, due to white powder being found in the container it was shipped in :odd:. Anyway, here's some snaps.:)

Sorry to hear that. We're glad you're okay though.

Are there any plans for the car?

The S2000? It has been totalled and insurance has already cut me a check. I started the car shopping process not long after the wreck, but have only ramped it up this week.

This past weekend was the OKC Auto Show. I went to it on Saturday and looked at everything they had on display. Liked quite a few things and have started the process of taking stuff for a test drive. Tomorrow during my lunch break, I am scheduled to test drive a Honda Accord.

I'm not quite sure what that is but I want one.

So it's the wagon version of the HSV GTS/Maloo LSA, I didn't know that was a thing. You crazy Aussies

@FPV MIC Dare I say it's 'just' a Holden Commodore. Invading NZ since forever! :P The Clubsports are always cool to see though.
It is good to have a big car with plenty of space and power. Says the guy living with tiny little Japanese cars with very little power. :embarrassed:

Mic, you've gone all Falcodore on us! Good to see you still holding onto the FPV. 👍 I've got a soft spot for the BA coon. Especially the Barra powered XR6 Turbo.
