👍 Dude, classy lookin benz!

Thanks Jay! My folks bought it from the original owners 20 years ago next week, and they passed it on to me my senior year of high school (about 4 years ago). She's got the original paint and interior, is comfortable as can be and routinely pulls 25 mpg at 70 mph.

sorry for the bad picture, here's my S2000:

You know what mate, I'm not trying to be a dick when I say this but there have been a few too many people on GTP recently claiming to own nice cars and not having any proof to back it up.
If you want anyone to believe you then write on a peice of paper, Jesterguy from GTPlanet or something and take a pic of it on your car.
Trust me, with a nice car like that people will probably want proof.

Because S2000s are so rare???

There are a lot of folks here with nice cars:

One S2000 doesn't even approach the threshold of believability.

Actually, since you seem to be the knowledge of the subject I will contradict you: They are. And an S2000 costs more new than any of those cars do, unlss the 928 is a GTS, which I know it is not. And when factored in the lack of practicality, I would think you would be a little more knowledgable on the subject, Mr. Knowledge.

Nice S2000. I like the rims as well. What Rev was saying was because there have been cases of kids claiming to have a nice car, but no proof. Sometimes, they aren't even old enough to drive!

Apparently you missed the point, which is that this thread should be about posting pictures of cars, not accusing others of not owning the cars in their pictures.

Had. I gave the 928 away (to my dad) shortly after buying the Evo, and sold the RX-7 last summer.

The point is that an S2000 may be a nice car, but it's not exactly a rare find or an extraordinary claim. We'll know soon enough if he's a fake, they're usually jerks anyways. All the guys who pop up on Ferrarichat who turn out to be fake are easily spotted.

The S2k is a nice car:tup:

i love my car....mechanically sound condition as well as in great visual condition:)

I believed you man when you posted it :)

It's just this place has become extremely cynical about people claiming to own nice cars. Take it as a compliment ;)

Also, an S2K is pretty believable, they're not THAT expensive.

Not that believable here, it's expensive as two average worker's incomes.

But I must say it's a pretty hot car!

That reminds me of something that happened at another forum I go to. The tradition we have there is to ask for pictures with a loaf of bread, a carton of milk, and a sign on the hood of whatever the car is, because that's harder to fake than just a paper sign, and bread and milk are two things that most people have in their fridge.

Well, we actually got one guy to take the picture! Here's his post:

New guy: Yah, take a pic of a loaf of bread, a gallon of milk, and a sign on your car's hood.
No milk and I don't waste paper. Deal with it.

Ok Jesterguy, I'm sorry for doubting you. Your S2K is real nice, the black wheels really suit it down to the ground. What sort of rims are they?

Jesterguy, heck with the S2K...I spot two s-dubs in the background. :) Just kidding, the S2K is nice.

here's a recent of my supercharged MR2.
Thats my favorite road sign. :)

Heres my car in it's new found glory. Someone hit me coming into a parking space and drove off.

that's my roommate's stuff, he's had 4 MR2's at the house at one point. The one in back he's working on for someone, he pulled the N/A motor out and dropped a turbo one in the other day.

For his car, he had a T-top one but he pulled his motor out of that, sold it, and is dropping the motor into the hardtop one that is in front of the one he's working on. He does all the work himself, only thing he's had outside help with was tuning. Anyway, here's a small list of what he's running (this of course is going to be obselete soon I'm sure since he changes setups, upgrades constantly):

GT35R (T4 turbine housing)
Full Race exhaust manifold
Tial 44mm ext gate
open downpipe
RMR intake manifold
70mm BBK throttle body
Precision dual core air-water IC with 3" charge pipes
2.2L Stroker
1mm OS valves
HKS 272/264 Cam combo

Twin Walbro 255lph pumps
85lb hr injectors

I'm leaving off a ton of stuff, pistons, rods, etc., it's completely built. He took it to the strip a LOOOONG time ago with his T-top and he ran an 11.67 @ 116 on pump gas! I believe it's one of the first MR2's in the US in the 11's on pump gas so it's a pretty good accomplishment. Here's his other car, it's an EK with a K24 (TSX motor) swap, full CTR interior, CTR lip kit, etc. Swap was done by himself, of course. Oh, and if anyone needs me to I can go out in the front yard and put my little sign on it ;)
