Well, seeing as how I came late in the game, and I'm not about to skim through 89 pages, I'll just go ahead and post up our daily drivers (fiance and mine). I drive the Z(stock 287@crank), she drives the Boosted tC(280-300 @ the Wheels, with about 300-320 ft/lbs @ the wheels).

Supercharged tC? Or turbo?

But that's a nice ride you got there....

It's a turbocharged TC, for sure. Look at the Engine photo. The exhaust manifold is non-existant. In it's place is a turbo manifold. Look for the Wastegate for proof. Also, if you look behind the front grille of the car, you can plainly see the Intercooler.

You can actually see some of the turbo aswell.

Not sure about in the US but over here we have having an increased amount of centrifugal supercharged cars here with front mount intercoolers as well.

Nice cars by the way 👍

And we'll of course be seeing pictures with hand written signs on these cars, along with a post-it note on the dyno chart for the TC, right? That's over double the wheel horsepower the car makes stock, so you'll forgive me for being skeptical, I'm sure.

Supercharger is for those who want a little power, and care about their warranty.

Turbo is for those who want to DESTROY other cars on the road.

We are turboed...:)

I'll do you one better, I'll give you a link to vids of me and my girl racing each other. She was in the tC for the first couple of races her SN is (ISmokeGuys), and mine is (RhythmnSmoke), so look at the video captions for indication on which one of us is in which car during the races.

I plan on getting her dynoed this Thursday. FYI Scion tC's can handle 300-350whp on a stock block. When you start approaching 350whp is when to think about upgrading the internals. Of course this also depends on how good of a tune you have on it. Here is the link to my boys shop's website that give a breakdown of the kit:

http://www.zeropointindustries.net/store/product_info.php?cPath=23_28_40&products_id=36

And here is the vid of our 350Z vs. our Boosted TC (on 8 PSI).

incase the vid dosen't show up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhRmudY9Wyw

And this is me doing a 60 - 115mph highway pull (vids a little long, but still fun nonetheless).

Me vs. A modded WRX. It shows the first time we raced, when we just got the car back, and I knew nothing about how to launch a turbo car from a roll, as well as the second race weeks later, after I figured out what to do. First race Subie is on 16 PSI (and I wasn't brake boosting). Second race Subie is on 10 PSI (and I learned about brake boosting). The tC was on 8 PSI in both of the races.

And this is the complete FIRST race of me vs. the Modded WRX. This vid has the mod list of the Subie in it.

Got a limited-slip diff in that Scion tC? With that much horsepower and an open diff, I'm sure it can light up the inside tire at will when turning. That was the major complaint with the '03 SRT-4. Quick in a straight line, and only in a straight line. Dodge quickly put a Quaife LSD in the '04+ models.

I'd like to see a dyno sheet on that tC. Not doubting you in particular, but that kit claims 300 whp at 9-10 psi? The stock SRT-4 has the same size engine, higher peak boost, and nowhere near 300 whp. I have no doubt that it may be possible to push the kit to 300 whp, but is that a tune for leaded race gas, with no catalytic converter, pushed to the edge, or is that daily drivable street-legal 300 whp?

Regardless of those questions, I'm sure it's fun to drive. :)

Here's my dyno sheet, this is a 2.0L engine pushing about 22 psi on 100 octane gasoline, making 323 whp:

dyno323.jpg

So you can understand that I'm a bit skeptical that a 2.4L engine is going to make reliable 300 whp with 10 psi and everyday pump fuel. But I wouldn't mind being proven wrong... 👍

LSD question...Answer: No, we don't have one YET. The Qualife LSD was released for the tC about 2 - 3 months ago. And now Qualife is out of stock on them. They did not estimate the demand for the product, and the tC community has wiped them out. But rest asure, we will be installing one later this year.

Turbo Back exhaust, NO Cat's and 93 Octane is what I run on. The 2.4L 2az that comes in the tC only requires a small amount of Boost to see good numbers(it comes with farily low compression pistons to begin with 9:6.1). Remember, you can not compare PSI on one car vs. PSI on another. Take note of this vid for example. The kit on this tC is the same turbo kit on our car (A ZPI Stage 1, except it's on 10.5 PSI, and we are only on 8 at the moment). The car is coming out of the shop tomorrow with a fresh clutch, and probably set on 10 PSI now. But anyhow, here is a dyno vid of another guys car:

And this is why ZPI is the best in the game:

Not the same turbo used in their production kit, this is one of their shop cars

http://www.zeropointindustries.net/gallery/videos/silvertC_dyno

This IS the same kit on our car, but turned up to 14 PSI and on slicks + Full interior (LSD's were not even thought of back when they did this run)

http://www.zeropointindustries.net/gallery/videos/ZPI2

And this is an example of why you CAN'T compare two cars PSI for PSI...

http://www.zeropointindustries.net/gallery/videos/srtvtC No Ill will meant by this vid, I didn't make it, just giving you a heads up since you own an SRT

A bud of mine has one of the earlier Prototype ZPI Stage 1 kits (before their new design), and he has an Automatic TC. On 4.9 PSI he pumps out about 230whp.

If that was intended to me, I don't own an SRT-4, I own an Evo 8.

But thanks for the detailed response, I'll be sure not to hold back the next time I see a tC that wants to get frisky. :sly:

Lol...cool man. I have yet to go up against an Evo. Stock form, I think I can take one...:)

dragonitti - I've just watched some of your videos you posted earlier. That's certainly quite a sweet ride. :)

ANDREW I THINK YOUR CAR IS WRONG WHEEL DRIVE.
YOU NEED TO FIX IT.

I'm not kidding. :D

I got offered like 3x what I payed for it and mang it was tempting but I think next year I'll sell it and buy a rwd turbo so I can kill myself and do drifts and burnouts and **** 👍

I prefer supercharger...

On a tC? or just in general. If your talking about on the tC, then to each his own. It takes a ton of EXTRA mods to make the S/C for the tC even break 230whp.

Thanks man. It's a work in progress. When I get some more vids I will be sure to post them up.

My dad has a 1969 AMC Javelin SST 390 in Big Bad orange, a 1995 Nissan Quest GXE, a 1987 BMW 325i convertible, and a 2006 Mazda3 hatch.

But we sold the BMW and the Javelin's in a garage in NY (we in Cali)

Dont believe me because of absence of sign? Too bad. Im not going through this crap AGAIN.
