Very nice SR20DET it looks pretty mean, i like what you did to the front.
Oh the dog looks pretty sweet too haha..
SR20DET is his username...That's an RX-7. 1.3 liter rotary, not SR20det...............Plus, you wouldn't be able to tell from the outside anyways. But still, nice car, looks good, but get some paint on that bumper.

Yea I just noticed, I really don't know why I didn't think to check before.SR20DET is his username...
The non-turbo's have it too.I was told the bulge is for the turbo. Is it true?
Oh god I hate you so much right now.
Nice buy, how much did it set you back?
Now I know when you buy a car like this you always say to yourself that you wont thrash it and you'll look after it but that is never the case now is it
So I would suggest going to an aftermarket clutch but something within reason, something close to stock but will handle a fair bit of abuse.
I'm super keen on an FD RX7 now
Thank you .
It was $7500, I didn't know the clutch was in this state when I paid for it, only realised on the way home. It's not in perfect condition, but it's a SR turbo manual for $7500 so I can put up with a few imperfections.
Only plus side is that it mean I won't be on boost and therefore saving petrol. But now I have to wait even longer to drive it properly
Aren't FDs pretty expensive? But they are quite good on petrol and very reliable so I suppose you won't have to worry about that once you buy one.
Oh wait....
It's also a bonus that the car is in stock standard condition so you can enjoy the experience of buying and fitting aftermarket parts
FDs tend to go for around the 15-20k mark for an average mileage (100k) 1995/6 model.
After an engine rebuild I can see a lot of money going up in exhaust smoke and petrol fumes and I can say the same for you
I must admit though, I drove the tits off my Escort and the damn thing just would not die, aside from the diff pin blowing out, but when it came to my CRX I've barely driven it hard at all.
I think it's because with the increase in power comes the ability to break the speed limit very quickly so it's usually a 1st gear burn with a short stint in 2nd then onto 4th or 5th. You might find the same with your car, after all you just spent a lot of money on it and you dont wanna lose it when a cop sees you pulling mad drifts.
Look after it, it's fun pulling engines apart and doing maintainence I just realised that I've got 3 B16A bottom ends, 2 cylinder heads and 2 gearboxes at my disposal
Nice collection of B16 parts you've got there, going to build up another Honda are you?
Speaking of which, any progress on the Civic? Or anything done to the CRX?
Civic is on hold till next year when I'll be better prepared, I'm currently deciding if I want to do anything with the CRX, might do intake/headers and an exhaust and with the collection of engine parts in the garage build up a mild NA build with some fresh new OEM parts and then sell it off.
I'd like some Mugen RNRs like this:
I missed out on some a few weeks ago for $500
But yeah, hanging out for some RWD turbo action at the moment
Better prepared = Having more money to spend?
Those are some really nice rims, really go nice with the CRX. Pity you didn't buy 'em, they would have added some nice JDM bling to the CRX.
What sort or RWD turbo you looking at? Seriously considering an FD3S or more along the lines of a Nissan? A dirty old Loridog? 💡
Yeah I've actually got my eye on different set of wheels at the moment, hopefully grab them next weekend.
Yeah, also with a forged motor ready to drop in when the stocker self ventilates
FD3S would be nice, I don't like in Whangavegas so a Cefiro or Laurel is out of the question.
FDs are common here but not boy-racer/driftard common so I should be able to pick one up in decent condition.
This is from when I dropped in the shocks from the Civic, looked good but the top four coils of the spring were bound up at that height for some reason and two of the shocks take ages to come back up when fully depressed so I might get something newer to drop it lower to the ground for the new wheels.
Doh!! it had to be right at the end
I think it would look better without the rear spoiler...
