Just went back to the GTP Qualifier (Mazda RX7 @ Fuji) to try and improve on my pad time with the new wheel 👍

I ended up taking 2 tenths off my pad time and moved up to 35th (1'54.569), which is pretty solid considering this is one of the most competitive TT's around.

I'm going to keep hammering away at this TT in the hopes that I will gradually continue to knock time off as I become more proficient with the wheel 👍

Nice one. 👍

Glad you had a go mate, now let me see that replay, see how smooth that wheel is. :sly:

7th place '07 Nissan GT-R @ Fuji F

Just got done doing a session with this combo. Unfortunately my lap is not GTP OLR clean but neither is anyone else who is on the leaderboard. Good job PD :dunce: I didn't see much point in trying to put a clean lap in, as the difference between a clean last sector and a dirty one (using the runoffs) is huge. I'm a bit dissapointed that I missed 4th place by just .073, but I'm sure I will be able to knock another 2-3 tenths off when I have another go tommorow. If I can knock 2-3 tenths off I will be ~1 tenth behind underground17 and GEORGE_GR33, which would make me pretty damn happy considering I've only been using the wheel now for 1 1/2 months 👍

I'm also looking forward to trying the GT-R @ Suzuka sometime soon. That leaderboard is jam packed with celebrities like MAY, underground17, holl01, etc. :)

Very good my friend ;) I'm sure you can do it, too 👍

Used to have a number of top 10 times on london n london reverse with various cars. That was back in spec2 n didnt have the GTP tag back then. I dont really do time trials a lot but currently my highest is 6th, London Reverse evoX. And a few top 20's here n there.

I'd gradually slipped down the leaderboard since posting a 1'54.733 in the IFTC, so thought I'd have another go at it. Improved by 0.4...

Mazda RX7 Fuji F 19th 1'54.332

Managed to trim almost two tenths off the RX-7 @ Fuji qualifier TT I put up just a couple of days ago with a 1'54.811. I think it was good enough for 63rd on the list at the moment. I am pretty sure I would like to quit now as I think I may have left another tenth or two on the table.

I just have one problem: I'm 99% sure the lap is clean, but at turn 15 (Netz)-- the corner before the final turn onto the main straight--I get two wheels off the track. I'm almost certain that I keep the other two wheels on track, but I am not 100% sure, and this is something that will bug me if I don't get an independent verification that it is clean :guilty: So I guess my question is, would another GTP-tagged driver be willing to verify that this replay is clean?

I'll go ahead and post it (PAL replay) in the hope that someone will help me verify if the lap is clean 👍 that way I can quit this combo with a clear conscience

Yes, I'm 19th, FAK's 18th and you're 17th.

Bloody hard work though... took me the best part of 3 hours to get that time. I hit a 1'54.468 early on but knew I could go faster. T1 and T2 are easy enough, but it's just so hard to get the long coasts and almost full throttle but not quite bits right in T3.

It's a lovely combo... great balance of gip and slip.

Yeah, took me a bloody long time. I wanted to go back and see if I could beat my qualifier lap. It took me 10 minutes to beat it. But then I wanted to see how high I could get in the tough rankings. It took me about 2-3 hours to get my time as well. It was pretty frustrating knowing you can go faster, just linking three good sectors. Satisfying when I finally did it though.

I agree, it is a nice combo to drive. It's not ridiculously hard or too easy. The car won't bite you for stepping on it too soon, but it will cost you time. I like combo's like that.;) T3 is where I come unstuck. I can match the top guys, timo, holl01, etc to the T2 split. But soon as I enter T3 I come across problems.
