@
praiano63 I have a few questions for you.
Your upcoming Peugeot 908 Total '10 can be used in all 3 models (Team Peugeot Total, Team Oreca and Base Model) right?
The tune that you made for the McLaren F1 GTR Kokusai '95 can also be used in its base mode?
The final question might have been answered already but since I couldn't find it I will just ask again, the tunes that you made for the 15th Anniversary Edition cars can be used on their normal versions and vice-versa?
Yes ,the future 908 tune will be OK for all the models.
The tune of the McLaren F1 GTR Kokusai '95 is the same for the others models including the stealth.
The Kokusai is the best of all in my opinion. More stable and safe, this allow you to be more agressive and fast any track.
15th Anniv cars are exactly the same as the others, just a bit more power.
Mr Praiano, I'm learning as I go along setting for my car and I have a couple of question :-
1. How do we determine the spring stiffness for cars ?
2. How do we determine the compression and extension of the shock ?
Thanks for your tips on final gear setting and I've been trying on my Honda NSX on the Nurburg track and I've finally got the top speed and launch power but still need to do some fine tunning.
Hahahaha , i'm still asking myself what to do exactly with all this in GT6.
1- for the springs, set them according to the weight repartition on the setting bar.
Example for a car 45% front and 55% rear, set the springs the same % on the setting bar.
After this you'll have to find the sweet spot testing.
2- When you think the balance over springs is OK, then set the stiffness. This will depend of the track, tires, driving style......
To check the best stiffness for your use , increase or decrease the springs, always proportionnaly front and rear , respecting the first setting you have found.
Example: if you have a setting 12.00 / 14.50 then try a softer 11.50 / 14.00 or a harder 12.50 / 15.00
always the same front/rear difference.
3- for the dampers, i have better results with same numbers compression and extension.
The strenght of the dampers depend of the weight transfer.
If when you make quick changes of directions or when braking / accelerating , the car pass over the grip of the tires to easy, stay upset..., then increase all dampers point by point same amout.
If in the same situations, the car show poor reactions, like driving a pier or a mitsubishi lancer EVO X, if you don't feel the weight transfer helping the car to work positively on his grip , then decrease the dampers point by point same amout.
This is a good base to start with in GT6, at least for FR , RR and MR cars.
