PRAIANO'S TUNES : SETTINGS FOR GT7

OK, this is weird. I know the PP system has some strange inconsistencies but this is stranger than most, or maybe it's this way for a good reason.

As mentioned if I add ZERO ballast, my pp is 699.96. If I ADD 40kg ballast it goes to 699.88, only a 0.08 adjustment.

Given this, is there any reason to add the ballast? Is it just for balance? Ironically, the predictive stats do seem to say that the car will be somewhat faster faster off the line but slightly slower overall.

Can't be the PP system (Yes it's very weird i agree). But if the use the same numbers , same parts , same rims , Aero parts..... Changing your oil , refresh chassi if needed... It have to match . That's what i think , also there is a lot of way to use my settings , they are only a base , a good starting point . Up to anybody.

This car have a great precision at the wheel.Huge grip. A great pleasure to drive. I take out the wheel spin that was problematic due to huge LS7 Rampage engine. I needed to use a heavy rear ballast but it's perfect. One of my favorite 700PP now.
Remember to shift at 7000 RPM , it's important. Adjust the gearbox with the help of final gear to fit any track.

Good morning Mr. Praiano . I was curious if you could help with the gr Supra rz ‘20 , your title mentions that the ‘19 supra tune can fit the ‘20 with the same settings . What would be optimal for the gear box ? The ‘20 model has 8 gears and the min-max is also different from the ‘19 gearbox .I have the ‘20 fully loaded with all upgrades like yours in the pic so I was trying to save some money instead of throwing it all on the ‘19 if possible. It also is at 695.70pp and I can adjust output adjustment to 88 for a pp of 699.86 but I’m not sure if this would be the best adjustment to compensate for that missing pp.

Hey Maestro,
would you mind revisiting this tune with the current physics?
Thanks in advance

Yeah, understood. I just found it weird that a 40kg difference in ballast would have negligible difference in PP, but it's very possible that it's because I'm not fully understanding the physics.

So I just bought this beast a couple days ago, applied Praiano’s tune, and took it out to grind Sardegna. It’s fast and sticky, braking is 8/10, a little hard on tires, but the fuel usage is pretty amazing. Using FM2, and a little bit of short-shifting, you can easily get 9-10 laps. Even at FM1 (1!), you can get 6-7 laps and turn laps in the low 1.30’s. Pretty damn great grinder!

Now, I patiently wait for my all-time favorite Gran Turismo machine, the F1 GTR Race Car, to show up. I pray it’s good on fuel…

Don't overdrive to be fast , be smooth with your inputs , don't be late on your brakes in a sequency of turns.

You can 50/50 diff , but you'll add some few understeer out corner too.

This thing is a beast on LeMans!! It can do almost 6 laps on FM1 while still turning sub-4 minute lap times!

Thanks so much. I love this car!

For kicks, I tried adding a mid-RPM turbo and switching to RMs for Spa 800. It was great until it rained. On wets it was spinning all over the place. I’m guessing just too much torque from the turbo.

It made me realize that my LeMans run was fairly dry so maybe I got lucky or maybe it’s just the extra power at 800pp.

I don't see any options other than disabling the turbo or trying the high-RPM variety instead. I might try that just to see if this car can win at 744pp :).

Any idea if adding ballast to shift the weight balance a bit would make any difference?
