that or a series of PSAs that tell the story of innocent people killed by careless streetracers. maybe instead of poeple getting their ideas about drifitng from watching pros, they watch videos of people crashing into mountain sides. everyone crashes when they leanr to drift, people sould know that.
I'm sorry. You have
no idea how useless PSA's and "do the right thing"-type movies are. Monkey see, monkey do. "Monkey comprehend" never enters the equation. People drag race (and have been for a loooong time) on the street because they see it on the track. When they feel like racing, they want to do it
right now. Not tomorrow, waiting their turn at the track. Right, effin', now. So they race. On the street. Or wherever they feel like it.
These same people see and hear stories of how kids are dying, bystanders are dying, how their best friend died...and they think "Damn, that's sad. But that'll
never happen to me!"
You have to accept the fact that people are just stupid. I can give so many examples to back this up, but the easiest one is Regis Philbin. Another one is
President George W. Bush. Or any president over the last 40 years. And a couple here and there between then and 1776.
Stupid is as stupid does, a person is smart but people are stupid, we're all just a bunch of talking apes, so get your hands off me you damned dirty ape. Drifting is fun to watch. People are doing it now -- in the wrong places -- anyway. If an idiot doesn't kill you with his car, he'll find some other way. Just look out for yourself the best you can.
