Ok I think I may take to plunge and finally get a wheel for GT5, problem is Im not going to spend 250 on a G27, as far as I'm concerned that's just too much money. So whats available out there for less money? Is the G27 really worth the extra? What about the Fanatech wheels? I think they're more than the G27 even though after you add pedals.

Logitech DFGT can be found for $100(which it currently is at Best Buy), it's normally $150.

I started out with a DFGT and used it for about 4 months before buying a G25. I paid $130 for the DFGT then $275 for the G25. I should have bought the G25 from the get go.

At $250 the G27 is just not an option for me. I cant justify that kind of money. Are there deals to be had on used g25s? What about that Fanatec Carerra wheel? Although it doesn't seem to be available.

Well if you want a G25 or a G27 for cheap then you will need to look at used ones. We do have a member on GTPlanet who wants to sell his G25 here.

Thanks for that. Im not ready right now to get one though and hes international don't know if that would affect his price or not. I definitely would consider used, but it would have to be a good deal and be the same or a bit less than I could get a DFGT for probably.

Does anyone have any info on this new Fanatec wheel though. The Carerra wheel? apparently its not out yet be will be available around July if I'm reading right.

Its got adjustable 900 degrees
Dead zone adjustment
Drift mode
Pedals including a clutch
Gear Drive, don't know if the good or not
6 +1 shifter

The dead zone and drift mode adjustments are ones I hear about people talking about but I'm not really sure why their significant honestly.

all for apparently around $170

Is this good?

I own the Turbo S wheel myself but I would wait for the Carerra Wheel as I believe it will be the best value of any wheel on the market.:)

The Carerra wheel should be available VERY soon according to Thomas.

The more I read about the more it definitely seems that way. It seems to have all the features the g27 has and more for a lot less money. Id probably wait until a few people got them and tried them out before I pulled the trigger, but on paper it looks fantastic. I think their wheels look great as well, but at more than even a G27 they are out of my price range. I'm very interested in this wheel if it truly gives g27 features at a DFGT price.
