The onboard video seen before is of a black/gold DW12 with LUCAS on the mirrors, I'm sure that is James Hinchcliffe's 2016 car with an Honda engine, you can see the mirrors here which are a match:

That's exactly what car it was. But it's not new either. It's the only real livery in the current game as James Hinchcliffe and the SPM team provided all the data and input on the in game DW12

It was kind of an anomaly in the current/old game, new livery but on the old aerokit, will look much better on the right car specification.

Been driving the Merc 190E Gr.A loads this week after a retune because it's such damn fun but has there been no confirmation or hints for pCARS2 yet? I see the BMW and Sierra on this list so fingers crossed i guess.

That Mercedes-Benz is a fabulous car. The noise is intoxicating too. I don't see a reason why it wouldn't be brought over to PCars2.

Yeah the engine sounds sweet. Always get crazy races in Group A with cars bouncing all over the place. Also I'm not sure if it's the size of the windscreen or what but you really get a great sense of speed in that Merc. It's gotta be in.

Yeah i don't see how they could omit it, it was a dominant car and the other 2 are in. Now let's see if they added the 2 other main group A cars.

I don't think it will. Would make little sense based on what we know. Mercedes didn't need it for marketing purposes neither then nor now so expect it to return.

I hope it's in plus a couple more Group A cars to flesh that class out - at the moment those are amongst my favourite cars in PC1.

For people who haven't tried the Classic Lotus cars - they are mostly great to drive. I really hope they are all in plus maybe the Lotus Formula 5000 (Type 70).

Very pleased to see the Type 25 in the presentation by Mr Tudor being used to show the flexibility of the tyres / tyre model. This car wasn't great to drive in PC1, but hopefully will be in PC2.

Formula X confirmed. https://pretendracecars.net/2017/04/21/an-insight-into-the-development-of-project-cars-2/#comments

They were indeed not going to include the 2011 Formula A in the game, nor a remodeled equivalent to 2015/2016/2017 specs.

As somebody has said previously, there is a Formula X, but it’s a red bull X1-type car. Hardly the same thing.

SMS were originally going to use a lesser open wheel car that was DLC in the first game as the primary top level open wheel car. I advised them against it for obvious reasons, and the Formula A showed up two days later.

Also from that same PRC.net article:

"There’s also an oval on the roster that hasn’t seen competition since the 1960’s"

Could this POSSIBLY be a reference to the old Monza oval?? :D:bowdown:
Or Daytona Beach? Although Wiki says that was closed in 1958 so Monza looks the more likely.

If it's Monza, I don't think they have the cars for it, but as they have the Indy license they could recreate Monzanapolis - "The Race of Two World's" held at Monza in 1957 and '58 when the Indy cars came over and dominated the European entries - some front engined Indy cars - that would be a mouth watering prospect!

I'm expecting Alfa touring cars(WTCC & DTM/Grp.A), the Laguna and Honda Accord, Altima Supercar and maybe the Red Bull HRT Commodore. Guess we'll get the Falcon FG X.
I asked SMS about any Nissan sedans (refering to the Altima) and they replied with this - No, there will be no Nissan sedan in game, sorry.
