Project CARS 2 Car List

I know they will be separated, which is good. Allow me to rephrase the question: will the classes be fleshed out in term of having a good number and variety of vehicles?

My class scheme for PCARS 2 (I hope):

Class 1 : GTE
Class 2 : GT3
Class 3 : GT4
Class 4 : TCR

Similar to my selection. Also good LMP1 and LMP2 representation for LeMans racing.

And my dream... full 1998-1999 GT1 and GT2 grid :( McLaren F1 GTR is already confirmed, Mercedes CLK-LM probably will stay, and only waiting for Porsche 911 GT1, Panoz GT1, Lotus Elise GT1, Nissan R390 GT1, Porsche 911 GT2, Dogde Viper GT2 etc etc :)

Add 1 more GT2 like the lister storm and it's golden.

TCR is like a newer version of Super 2000 if you want a comparison. Promoter is the same as the WTCC pre-2014 as the Super 2000 was phased out in the WTCC. They're cheap, about 300bhp, 1300kg and pieces don't fall off left right and center.

Here's Race 1 from Spa. Best race of the year so far.
 
Have to say it concerns me how GT orientated it's starting to look now, hope we get the diversity of the first game

So TCR are the top level touring cars?
 
I remember it was a WMD member that said it wasn't enough cars for each class for pcars2. Like pcars1 it was a lot of car classes that didn't have any friends. This was like almost year ago when it was said though. I just hope that has changed. It sucks only having 2 or 3 options to choose from per class besides GT3 and road cars. I look at the touring class from pcars1 for example. It wasn't a lot to choose from.

It's the hottest series in the racing world right now. GT racing isn't going anywhere too soon. So, it should be well represented in many games.

I'm not worried though. SMS have their heads screwed on right. ;)

It was gt & road bias in the first game, i guess these are the most popular, i think if you break it down its looking like a similar share as the first but obviously more in total.
 
TCR is to touring cars what GT3 is to GT racing - they're customer cars, which manufacturers build and drivers buy. They've taken off like nothing and there are now TCR championships all over the world. Still very new though.

They have nothing to do with WTCC/BTCC (which both use their own unique regulations not seen anywhere else), but are roughly as fast. They're all pretty similar. @ozwheels

There are spoilers with the classes below. :) It was requested but I wanted to ensure it was for confirmed classes as opposed to generic classes. Plus, it's easier to find a car when you know the manufacturer as the classes are usually unknown. Modern Road can be a multitude of things.

No doubt, that's why I thanked you for creating the spoiler buttons. :)

Interesting how they've grouped cars as such. Wonder if that will stick. In PC1, the list was ok with the Infiniti icon. However, I'd much prefer a favorites option this go around.

Well... Since Formula Gulf was officially licensed in PCars 1, and even PCars is used in Gulf Academy, as a training program... And since MOST of cars from Pcars 1 is expected to be in PCars 2. I think, the Formula GULF will be in game.
