Instead for me that's exactly the point, I want to work with that unloved car that noone would pick, find its limits and challenge fiercely the conventional LMPs with it to try make it shine a little bit :embarrassed:

You may want to do that but I'm speaking from a Nissan perspective.
 
What I'm gonna do is find a nice car similar to what I drive and every time I turn the game on I'll do laps on California Highway with the real time and weather that I have. Gotta go for a drive man...
 
@jake2013guy Why at the first post you listed the R18 as the 2015 model? PC1 had the 2014 model which was their last to actually win Le Mans. The 2015 model and others didn't accomplish much and Audi started to deviate the car's design with some bizarre looking details.

I hope with all my heart that the Nissan GTR-LM LMP1 car will be in this game, even if it's unlikely...I have a really strong bond with that car, since 2015 GT Academy with Gran Turismo 6, I would love to race with her again in a game like Pcars 2

But in real life it couldn't even qualify faster than the GTE's. Better to let it go as the pace it had in GT6 was pure fantasy.

Would be better if it was actually represented in a game in its intended AWD form. Software is good enough to simulate what could have been

Maybe a 2015 Le Mans Spec with no Hybrid, and a 2016 Spec with front canards (as seen in Winter tests for 2016 season, before the plug on the project was pulled) and AWD Hybrid system with full power.

The Nissan GT-R LM Nismo in 2016 spec would be great. I'd love to see that. 2015 car was brutal.

The 2016 LMP1-H line-up with the Nissan wound be amazing!

It sucks that it seems we won't get any new LMP1 cars at launch. That and the outdated Corvette and Aston GTE is a bit disappointing. Hopefully DLC gives us these eventually. Even then, this game is looking like the most complete racing sim experience to date.

Nothing official has been said about the Aston and Corvette not being updated. If anything the Ford GTE article makes it sound as if we're getting the 2016 Aston.

There was a person that posted their Facebook conversation with the official project cars page stating that it'll be the older models.

Wasn't that the post about there being multiple generations of cars or something? I thought that was deemed to just be a general response and not aimed at any one car or class.

There is older model GT3's as well as new ones.

True. But those models are clearly different. the Z4 is obviously different to the M6 as are the 2 Mercedes.

I see we're getting the aston, the ford, the rari and the corvette in the gte spec but what about porsche ?

Not certain about class, but we are NOT getting the current RSR. What we are getting is the 911 "Endurance" which may or may not be in the GTE class.

Also, you missed the BMW M6 GTLM in your list of GTE class cars ;)

I'm hoping this makes it in. I haven't driven a proper Mini race car, since that Simbin game on PS3.
