I keep making the reference to Hot Wheels. You buy a car. If you want a track, you can buy tracks separate or in a pack. If you want a different car, you have to buy one. Hot Wheels keep making cars and tracks. Just because you buy one car or a multitude, doesn't entitle you to free cars yet to be released. How about radio controlled cars? Want a different body? You have to buy it.

Project Cars 2(or rather Bandai Namco) offer packs for the future. If you want extra cars, have to pay to play. Or, choose not to pay for extra cars.
Again, this game, is not a service. It's a hobby(in some instances, it's become a skilled profession).

I cannot comprehend how anyone could call any sort of DLC that has to be paid for "amazing." Ridiculous to praise any company for ripping their playerbase off by making them pay for content that should be free and in the game in the first place.

Scenario for buying digital stuff:

1. See adverts for racing sim, investigate in content
2. negotiate purchase with yourself concerning the investigated content
2.1 if you are convinced, you buy a racing sim that has number x of tracks & cars.

Company Statement: There will be future stuff but because it Needs time and Investment, it´s not available now and will cost something.

2.2 if you are not convinced, you don´t buy the game.


3. game Company developes more tracks & cars and puts them up for a Price (= development costs, time to develop, margin)
4. negotiate purchase with yourself (worth it or not?)
4.1 if it´s worth the Price, you buy it.
4.2. if not, you don´t.

Example: I adore the Ferrari 330 P4. Assetto Corsa released it. Is virtually driving the 330 P4 worth x amount? I thought yes. I bought it. The car is amazing and yes, dare I say it again, amazing! The howling v12 and the rest of the pack was worth the purchase.
Example 2: GT Sport is released with x number of cars & tracks. I don´t fancy it. I don´t buy it.

That´s how the world goes round. Choice.

I know it's a stretch, but seeing the VW Golf and Alfa GTV on the side of the road, at the Spa Historic, raises my eyebrow that we'll see those cars at some point. There's also a VW Bus and I think, a 2CV. NOt saying those two will be in. However, why get licencing for the likeness of the VW and Alfa and not get to have racing versions of them?

I am planning to buying the digital deluxe edition next month for the $90. I think that is a good price considering it includes a season pass for all and any DLC that was not just released on day one but all future DLC cars and tracks released for this game. I think it would have been worse if Slightly Mad Studios were charging individual pricing for each individual DLC content like other past game companies have done but SMS is including a full season pass where the rest of the DLC is free with the season pass.

IF we finally get those three 2016 lmp1s via dlc, please please please make a proper class for them(lmp1-h for instance) it would be more realistic, more enjoyable and it would please me

I'd like a power adjustment on the LMP2 class. Currently they run ~600HP. To replicate IMSA races I'm using LMP900 and LMP3 in place of DP and Prototype Challenge.

I´ve just realized something that hardens my suspicion that future Group C Content will be from 1988-1989: All the Porsche 962C Langheck (longtail) Liveries that are available were raced at le mans just in those 2 years. Apart from the Works Team Shell cars and two Joest cars, all are from 89. It could mean nothing I know...but I just checked racingsportscars.com.

Edit 2: on that note ^^^ does the DLC online work the same as PC1? meaning if the host has it everyone can use it? I thought I read that has changed.
