I feel your pain. In Pcars1 I would set up lobby's frequently using a lot of the other cars - and there were a lot of great race cars from different formulas, yet nobody would join - unless you put GT3 in there. What I could never get my head around is that if you love track racing in any of the lower series, would you not jump at the chance to race that online? Sometimes I thought I was the only one who enjoyed driving the single seater Caterham or Palmer etc
Your not the only one.

I do try and run lobbies with lower class stuff such as the Formula Rookie and Ginetta Jnr a few evenings a week, however they don't often get more than a half dozen people in them.

Regarding the Racing License and its skill points, this is my short experience so far:

First race online
5 lap race; finished 2nd place
Went from U1500 to F1504

Second race online
Was randomly disconnected from the session
Didn't have anything to do with it, still suffered a loss of 42 points, from F1504 to F1462

Third race online
20 lap race (40 minutes racing...); finished 2nd place
Went from F1462 to F1468

My questions for now are:
- Is this the way it's supposed to work (even after the patch), or was I just unlucky? I'm talking about the disconnection from the session and the huge amount of points lost;
- Also, a 5 lap race and a 20 lap race will give you roughly the same points? I think the only difference in points between my first and third race was the result of the number of opponents on track, not the number of laps. Is that correct?

Looks correct to me, as far as how it's supposed to work at the moment.
The longer race should have affected your safety rating more, if you drove cleanly, so probably after the next clean race you will be up to D rating.
Disconnect penalty is being looked at for next patch, I expect them to reduce it.

Yes, there is a large penalty for getting disconnected, to discourage players who are losing races to save their ranking by bailing out. Unfortunately people who are innocently disconnected are collateral damage, because the game cannot tell the difference between people like yourself, and those who deliberately disconnect (eg. by unplugging their network cable).

Performance rating is tracked by, in SMS' words, an "enhanced Elo-based rating system". So whilst no one knows the precise details of how the system works, points should be determined by where you finish, and the ratings of your opponents. Winning against people with worse ratings will reward less points than against people with higher ratings (and likewise, finishing behind people with worse ratings will lose you more points).

To make sure you'll get healthy points increases for your success, I recommend finding/creating lobbies that have a minimum performance requirement as close to your own rating as possible. You've essentially got to do matchmaking manually, unlike say GT Sport's daily races where the game does it for you.

I feel it too trying to start a tcr serie lol

What Group A championship years did the Nissan race against the others or did that never happen? I want to recreate seasons. Same with the Group 5 cars.

Early 90s versus the Sierra and E30. YouTube has videos from Japanese Group A. Check Australian TCC as well, but not against the Audi V8 or 190 Evolution.

I've not seen a classic Group A race, with Audi V8 and GT-R. Maybe in European historic races.

This is such a tough one for me. My biggest complaint with online racing is people quitting. I have a nine year old son that plays Forza Horizon and Motorsport on his XBox. He's played for the past two years. Only in the past four months have I let him venture online... with the strict rule... You Do Not Quit Any Online Competition You Join. I'm kinda strict when it comes to this, because I know how much it destroys the online community. Furthermore, it teaches him to stick it out, and often there are benefits for doing so. So, I like the strict penalties, even if I get hit with an undeserving one once in a while. Of course, this is just my opinion.

Notes
The 720s is a amazing car :D:bowdown: Favorite road car only next to the P1
Expected the p1 to win i mean 186 hp difference is just to much for the 720s to overcome
Do you use traction control? I find the P1 on here much harder to drive than assetto corsa.

For the first time last night I ran into the profanity warning thing when trying to save a setup. Regardless of what I tried to put in there, even a single letter, I got the warning and it wouldn't save. Is there a workaround for this or wait for a patch? It's no big deal I was just going to try a put a stable setup on a road car to see what it did.

We need a Livery Thread, as in the PC1 Forum.

On another note, TCR is, in my opinion, the best series.
I leave AI at 100/90. Every track breeds great racing. AI have advantages at certain tracks. Then, I have advantages. Evens out whether I start last, mid-pack or first. Each of the 4 choices(I was reluctant to try the 320 as it doesn't belong, but it was okay the one time- i swear :D ) has it's characteristics, from Motec LCD to suspension movement. Finishing 25-minute races in any place, are my reward.

My same thought they are the best drive in the game for me... Too bad they are too inpopular to make an online serie out of them on ps4.

If the other 11 manufacturers(Alfa, Audi, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Peugeot, Renault[the real one], Seat, Subaru, Volkswagen) were in, maybe there'd be a change.

Guys can you give me your advice...

A ridiculous situation in career - Qualifying turns from wet to dry so i change manually to slicks. So i start the race on slicks, its an overcast forecast. It turns to heavy rain half way through so i have to pit for wets.

None of the AI pit,so i come last....whats the solution here??

Always start a race on all-weather tyres??

Has Helmet Cam Ruin other racing games for you?

I mean i try to play AC and DC in interior view but the same excitement that you get with helmet cam is just not there with the normal interior view.

Every racing game should now have helmet cam and all the options like
Helmet look to apex
helmet leaning
G-Force
World Movement
Camera leaning

Makes me so excited Just thinking of what helmet cam is gonna be like in PCARS 3 on the PS5 :embarrassed::bowdown::D:)

You think? Those three cars are enough already for some amazing racing, trust me!
