In regards to C1 & C2 road cars. I used the Megane 275 Trophy R in a few races. Pretty good handling. It does the oversteer thing like the Clio Cup car. Also when braking hard from high speed and corner entry.

The improvementa in handling, we read about, for PC2, will definitely make road cars a joy.

Built-up cars sourced from individuals or teams like this are a great way to bring Forza-style modified cars to the game, adding some vehicular appeal for tuner car fans. This is akin to what 90% of players do with an upgrade system at their disposal anyway.

If you think about it, most Forza players don't really want to drive roadcars, they just want their favorite production-car body over a 1000hp AWD machine with race-spec everything on the widest-possible slicks. Or that's what I gathered from online multiplayer, at least.

However, to have only a grippy 500+ horsepower monster to represent a particular car would be a shame, IMHO. It erases the character of the car, and modern slicks and downforce are boring. I expect the standard Evo VI to make the jump to PCARS2, and I hope newcomers like the R34 or Z32 are also offered in ~300hp flavors.

Interesting article here comparing released footage of Project CARS 2 with released footage of Gran Turismo Sport.

It's nice that they are both comparing the AMG GT3, but sadly they do not feature the same track in each game (Fuji vs. Brands Hatch).

While I admit that both look good, GTS leaves me lacking that "wow" factor. One of my main gripes is that the track surface itself seems so flat and uniform in GTS. No texture to it at all. At least not in these videos.

It is something I have also noticed in a number of the live streams that the guys with Beta access are doing. The track surface just looks too uniform and too "polished"..... no aggregate texture, no cracks, no color variation.

These videos probably aren't the best for that comparison, especially when you consider the audio quality of the videos isn't even close to matched. Like I said though, the track texture (or lack thereof) is something that just jumps out at me in all the videos I have seen for GTS.

Could be in direct relation to the silky smooth track but the car in GTS doesn't seem to "move" naturally...when you look at the Pcars2 car you can see it twitch with every movement/bump...
Even without having played either of them it looks to me that the Pcars2 car will be a handfull to handle (which i like)
Just my objective (really) opinion...

I noticed that, but wasn't sure how much of that was related to possibly an inexperienced controller player?

I was mainly looking at the visuals, as far as graphics goes. In that sense, while both look great, Project CARS 2 just has that little bit more "realistic" look and the track surface is the most noticeable aspect of that for me. Now add to that the fact that GTS will not have dynamic time of day, dynamic weather, or any form of dynamic track, and well...... even happier that I moved back to PC...... I would have been very disappointed if I had spent big bucks on new console and wheel only to end up with GTS.....

I agree with this.

Even in Shift 1, the cars moved up and down (sometimes exaggerated) in the same manner as cars in ToCA 1&2. To get that sense of being on edge.

GT can be driven with hands off the wheel/pad. PCars feels like this:

I couldn't help myself.

EDIT:
Found a video of what I think is the TA car teased on Sunday. (MOMO)
Hi Octane Racing.
