Aston's not that wild of a guess, Aston has competed in GT1 and LMP1 races. Plus, who wouldn't want to hear the sweet sweet music of a V12 Vantage if they threw in road cars. I don't think Astons are our mystery cars but not such an off-the-wall guess as Daihatsu or something like that.

If only there was a way to all eliminate all this guess work... any chance someone could narrow it down to a US, European or Asian manufacturer?

Nothing, move along.

I will not move along! WHAT IS IT???? @wicken How can it be nothing, if you said that you saw something? :odd:

I haven't used it in a while so will give hopefully pCARS a go this weekend and see what kind of settings it can run game at.

How did you get access to the game?

To be honest, I searched many times for an cracked version of pcars but was unable to find one. I will buy this game that is sure but I can't simply wait to try it so that's the reason I looked out for an cracked version. But strangely there is nothing out there.

^^ You cannot buy into it anymore. Only way to get access to it is to steal/borrow someone's account info which would be against their rules.
You could also say "pCARS hit the full financial backing level they needed and stopped requesting further financial support in late 2012".

Basically WMD is similar to kickstarter except there are some very large backers who get proportionally better access to the dev team and perks. All listed up front in the chart here: http://www.wmdportal.com/projects/cars/
As a result they hit funding targets quite quickly, although there was a period of at least 6 months where it was known that WMD access was going to be closed up but you could still join or upgrade your toolpack. They also had a hiccup at one point with their refunds system, but other than that it's gone amazingly smoothly.

I suspect that of the 80,000 backers many just download the occasional update via Steam Early Access. However now that we're getting to the polish stage pCARS plays more and more like a finished game so it's more enjoyable to test. That said, you still need to recreate your profile after every build, and it's unusual to play for a few hours without encountering some kind of bug: all normal for the stage of development of course.

Recorded a lap yesterday on "Wisconsin Raceway" with Caper Monterey Stockcar yesterday on settings I posted yesterday. I think they ain't much noticeable difference in the higher settings so PS4 version looks like it will look great. I just hope they get the G27 working on the console as the FFB is amazing with this game. I recorded at 60FPS but on YouTube it seems it is not implemented yet so it doesn't look as smooth and as usual as high quality as original file. I don't really know this track so I tried to just go with the flow, probably over a second off the ultimate pace.

I'm a member.

He couldn't even keep it on the track 10% of the time!
thats why you see me reduce the toe as every bump sends you in a different direction
look at the front bumper the vibration gives you an idea of how smooth a ride the kart is

I know it's a bumpy ride, just saying you should have tested it out before releasing a video.

PS. Use capitalization for the start of the sentence and a full stop at the end. ;)

Doing one quick lap gives no indication of what the car is or kart is like it took about half an hour to get those two laps because if you dropped a wheel or was slightly too wide you would ruin the lap and in karts that's very easy to do.
You'll will find many you tubers only upload a few laps or one quick lap what you don't see is the time before and after when they were playing.

Im not that creative so my videos will less edited than most however it might give many people a better insight into the the game. Also when it takes 6hrs to upload the last thing you want to do is increase the file size.

I think one of the best things about pCARS is that it is quite easy to drive close to the limit, once I sorted out the steering problems with wheel and having not played the game for a while, I managed to get on top of physics quite quickly so took me about 20 minutes of driving to do the lap I posted above. Most of time was spent was learning the track and also first time driving that car. It is a good point though about the indication of driving behaviour, you only get to see a glimpse of it on hot lap videos as when testing limit on car, I normally go to extreme straight away and noticed improvements in how cars brake. Now it is easy for the rear of the car to snap away if you apply too much brake pressure especially on a bump, a bit like Lewis Hamilton did on his final qualifying lap at Austrian GP.
