It's a shame there's no definitive answer, I would have expected the preload to have started by now if we were to expect to be able to play this tomorrow night. It's almost 20gb and that will take time.

Preload has started for me, 15GB to download.

At the moment yes, I did even change the type of dispatch earlier today to make sure it will arrive on time.

Let's hope so. I don't order something from Amazon very often, let alone pre-orders, so I don't know how long it usually takes to ship.
Otherwise, one day later on Friday would be a very unfavourable for me to pick it up as it will be shipped to a packing station from DHL.

I always order from Amazon (I'm living 25km away from the next bigger town) and never got something to late. I pre-ordered a game once not on Amazon and got it late (GT6 btw) :D

In my confirmation of charge email from Sony it says...

Pre-order Expected Release Date: 06/05/2015 @ 11:00 PM

The countdown timer says the actual game is playable at 12:00 AM (an hour later)

Make of that what you will...

Staying up late tomorrow night then?

;)

I only managed to get Friday off so I won't be much use on Thursday morning. Good job the boss will be jet lagged from his recent trip to a certian boxing match on the other side of the world :D

Working night shift tomorrow night so I'll be leaving my PS4 in rest mode and hoping it will be ready to play when I come home in the morning.

Steam?

Well,

The Steam version for me was going to be ~AU$10+ dearer to d/l (but with fewer additional cars) than buying the physical steel-boxed LE version. As usual, I have the Luck of the Irish.

Meh. I'll just console myself (pc joke) by pretending I'm living in America eh?

In the meantime... enjoy the game you LUCKY BASTIDS!! ;)

Could be worse. You could get that email as an American. December 5th, how pissed would you be then? Ha ha ha. At least now you can commiserate with us North Americans who don't get the game until that date anyways.

Well, the time has almost come. I plan to go home tonight and tool around with the GT6 GT Academy. I want to see if I can get a time to get me the top 1500ish like Round 1 after an hour or two. It is just for the grins, really, as I have no aspirations or skill to actually make into the elite levels.

I have plans tomorrow night and will not be able to play, so, if all goes very well with pCARS come Thursday, tonight could well be the last night I ever play GT6 or any PS3 game again. If it weren't for GT4, 5 and 6, I wouldn't be here, so I am glad to have played them. But now I am looking for the next adventure.

I am crowhop_GT on Steam and I am very much looking forward to seeing many of you on the flip side, wheel to wheel.

The Steam version has the same number of cars as the LE (Modified and LE car packs)

Thrustmaster put up a post on facebook that even with the day 1 patch on PS4 there are issues with the T500 wheel with Project Cars on ps4.. (Edit - this was actually 5 hours ago - Edit 2 - sorry did not realize there was a thread on this already)

"Project CARS on PS4™: issues with the T500 RS racing wheel
Project CARS will be available as of May 7 on PC, PS4™ and Xbox One.
On PS4™ the game works perfectly, once the day one patch has been installed, with the T300 RS, T300 GTE, T80 and T100 FFB racing wheels, as well as with the TH8A shifter (in both sequential and “H”-pattern modes).
Unfortunately, however, there are some temporary issues with the T500 RS racing wheel (only).
# Issue 1:
Details – On PS4™, the wheel on the T500 RS sometimes turns abruptly in one direction and remains stuck in this direction when you exit a race to return to the game’s menus. The wheel only re-centers itself when you return to the race.
Temporary workaround – Manually return the wheel to the centered position (by forcing it), turning the wheel 1.5 rotations in the opposite direction until it stops moving, and then release the wheel. Keep the wheel perfectly centered until you return to the race.
# Issue 2:
Details – On PS4™, the wheel on the T500 RS sometimes vibrates when you exit a race to return to the game’s menus.
Temporary workaround – Keep the wheel perfectly centered in order for the vibrations to stop.
These issues have already been identified by the R&D teams of Thrustmaster and Slightly Mad Studios, and will be resolved very soon in a new upcoming game patch."
