Just got a call from my local Gamestop that my copy is available to pick up - on thursday.

The wait, just two more days...

Yep, me too... Even though several stores already started selling today, my local store didn't even get the delivery yet...

He talks about himself driving without assits. The AI doesn't have "assists" because their physics model is simplified because no console/computer would be able to run the game while calculating physics for so much cars.

Start the game without signing into PSN or XBL or whatever. Then you'll be able to play without patching first, if you really really want to try the game for a little while on the day you bought it. Sign in and patch it overnight once you've had enough.

No. Only Steam download is May 7th worldwide. You'll have to wait one day longer.

seems like on the ps4 version you will need to manually calibrate the wheel every game start. Full rotation right, left, 90 degree and then di pedals.

It's a shame there's no definitive answer, I would have expected the preload to have started by now if we were to expect to be able to play this tomorrow night. It's almost 20gb and that will take time.

Couldn't actually find it on there but both XO and PS4 pre order digital take you to a check out and both release dates say the 7th, XO version is £49.99 against the PS4 version at £44.99!

Both still dearer than PC tho, £39.99

At the moment yes, I did even change the type of dispatch earlier today to make sure it will arrive on time.

Let's hope so. I don't order something from Amazon very often, let alone pre-orders, so I don't know how long it usually takes to ship.
Otherwise, one day later on Friday would be a very unfavourable day for me to pick it up as it will be shipped to a packing station from DHL.
