:D

Excellent thanks, so its not something built into the game but I could run a separate app on my PC and do this that way!

I am hoping to mount an old phone to use as a dashboard/HUD too but something with in-depth telemetry or timings could be great for this second monitor.

I'm already set up in exactly this way. My main monitor has the game, my secondary monitor has telemetry software and my phone is running the vDash Pro app. I use it this way for several racing sims currently, so I don't see why it wouldn't work for pCARS as well.

Excellent, that is what I want to have setup.

Speaking of additional applications and tools, I probably know the answer to this already, but is there any way for PS4 players to make use of these?

I'm not sure how sensitive Sony are with the PS4 and connecting external software but I did appreciate that GT6 allowed you to export telemetry data to MoTeC.

Not at the moment, because of the way these community apps work. There is a small "server" portion that runs on your PC alongside Project CARS. This "server" app reads the telemetry info from pCARS and feeds it to the app (Android dashboard, Telemetry tools, whatever....). Consoles do not currently allow you to run the 3rd party "server" app in parallel to the game.

Unless this changes, or SMS is able to create an export function similar to GT6 you will be limited to the in game telemetry tools.

There are plenty of great "dashboard" apps out there for use on your phone. All of them have their advantages and disadvantages. I chose vDash Pro simply because it supports all of the games I currently play in a single app rather than having to purchase multiple versions of an app for different racing sims.

The Motec i2 license is clear about that you can only use it with Motec gear. Some games have negotiated a special licensing terms, like for GTR2 and GT6. So no, I don't anticipate any Motec connection.

We (WMD and app devs) wish for a console API server solution, but that is an unknown for now.

Anyway you can get tools that are better suited for our hobby than i2 IMO, and they are also far better integrated with the game.

I have to play the game with a DS4 for the first month. Should I wait until I can play it with a steering wheel?

Nah. It's honestly fine with a pad.

It's just like playing GT or Forza or anything else. You'd be more accurate and probably faster with a wheel, but you can still have lots of fun with a pad.

With permission of the Development Director, here is what he had to say about the 'Ghosting Issue':

"So yes, the ghosting effect is there, if you look hard enough. The advantages far outweigh this small disadvantage however. Notwithstanding that, if customer feedback demands it, we have a plan to add a UI slider in a future update, which will enable you to tune out the ghosting, at the expense of more aliasing and distant shimmer."

great, now where we can give our feeedback and demand the slider ... options are good, even GT5 had option to turn off temporal AA.

On the Project CARS official website there were comments made in the comments section that seemed to confirm that it would be there on launch, but I don't know how reliable those comments are as I don't know what the commentators affiliation with SMS is (if any).
Yeah, I noticed that...a guy doing an Xbox twitch streaming about 2 hours ago was playing this track!

I believe the track is already in the game, but not under it's official name due to the license not having been sorted out yet. They did this throughout the development too from what I have seen (real world tracks under fictional names until license was worked out).
