What about all the other games on PS4 that use different AA?

I only have The Last of Us Remastered on PS4 and it has this ghosting/blurry AA. I only noticed it after reading all the commotion on here and deciding to look for it. I then carried on enjoying the game without noticing it. Also I watched a YouTube video of the Last of Us Remastered and guess what, the blur is a lot more noticeable.

I don't think it will be much of an issue once people get the game and play it themselves.

I have a quick question, how does Project cars play with a controller compared to say Forza or gt.I am likely to get the ps4 version because I aint afraid of no ghost :).
People on Neogaf are saying with a pad its very similar to Forza 5, Rumble triggers are supposed to work great also.

Quick question about car wrecks with the AI. How long does a wrecked car/body part stay on the track for before it despawns? Ideally I'd like it to be about 2 minutes to simulate real life.

someone should've told From Software about AA techniques because Bloodborne is quite bad in places. but obviously it's a balancing act between performance and visual fidelity. sounds like SMS have gone for both and if the ghosting (which again caused me no distractions when I played it) is there to make everything else better then we should not complain. I'm not holding my breath on seeing that slider anytime soon though.
No, then you should not complain. Everyone who prefers a different AA method are free to voice their opinions-

Flickering on thin details doesn't happen on higher AA settings anyway. That's stuff you mostly see at 2x.

Wrong. Even in 4K you get flickering on far away fences. That's a problem you almost can't do anything about it without reducing the image sharpness. Especially since Negative LOD Bias Clamp doesn't work with NVIDIA cards anymore.

Gameseek have dispatched my order today too and I think they use Royal Mail 24.

Could be here tomorrow. :D

Even in 4k? Resolution doesn't have much to do with antialiasing.

Thanks, I checked this (and i should have been more specific when asking the question) but there were three screen shots showing the specific menus and thats what I was after haha. Thanks anyway

I think you mean the online BoP thread.

Sorry I haven't posted a link as I'm on android and can't use it for S**t

Point one - not true. Career looks great
Point two - is he referring to the track count or the production quality? Well both are amazing so false again
Point three - he must be using driveclub as a benchmark, that's the only racer that passes this graphically right now
Point four - now this really is crap. He's lost to the ai himself in his videos.
Agreed! That tweet was a big duh. However, DriveClub isn't that great graphically. There are so many times when I am on certain tracks that the cars and maps look like complete ass. That game is way too hit and miss.

Not lame, just limited. It's not shift, but it still shares some things from shift, they didn't put everything in the trash can.

If I had gotten this answer a long time ago, I would have been satisfied with it, I can certainly understand if there is a limit in the Animation Engine and it would take a tremendous effort to rewrite it, it won’t happen anytime soon, I just hope that in time it can be corrected.

Thanks for your intelligent response, that is much better than people saying “Shut up, It’s Great the way it is"

With permission of the Development Director, here is what he had to say about the 'Ghosting Issue':

I can certainly live with that answer as it seems logical.
I have been dealing with the shimmer in GT6 for a long time and it has always driven me nuts, I have a 52” LG LCD and set it to Game Mode and adjusted everything I could find to try and eliminate it to no avail, I actually was wondering if the same would happen with PCARS as I thought maybe it was my TV, I was actually contemplating a TV replacement purchase.

This is Great News as far as I am concerned and if they follow through with a Slider, people can adjust it to their liking, for me, if the imaging looks Great while I am playing the game, I will be happy.

On tv set TLOU Remastered shows no, zero ghosting... I'm confused!

I posted this a couple of pages back but it might have got missed, does anyone have an answer:

I have a question regarding dual monitors: I play on a TV a few feet away and I am considering getting a second, much smaller monitor to be much closer to me for use with Photoshop and other PC apps that I need closer to me than the TV is. Would I be able to configure pCars to use this monitor without extending my view?

Maybe using it for live timings, pit strategies, track map or similar, is this something that can be done?

There are a lot of community apps out there to use for this purpose:

I've hammered TLOU offline and online and never seen ghosting once, Seems the only other high profile game to use this type of AA was Halo Reach on 360. If he's seeing ghosting on TLOU then it will be down to his TV set rather than the game as no way ND would have ghosting going on in their games.

So yes, the ghosting effect is there, if you look hard enough. The advantages far outweigh this small disadvantage however. Notwithstanding that, if customer feedback demands it, we have a plan to add a UI slider in a future update, which will enable you to tune out the ghosting, at the expense of more aliasing and distant shimmer.
It's official, SMS wins the internet:

Speaking of additional applications and tools, I probably know the answer to this already, but is there any way for PS4 players to make use of these?

I'm not sure how sensitive Sony are with the PS4 and connecting external software but I did appreciate that GT6 allowed you to export telemetry data to MoTeC.
