It's still in the works. Slow progress at the moment. No current timetable for release.

Its about 30-40 (or less) degrees around the lumbar area, then of-course arches back to 90 degrees for the head and neck. Measurements conforms to within a 2013 F1 regulation monocoque (not a ton of differences from 2010-2013).

Thanks you, by the way, does your F1 project come to end?
I am planning to build one very similar to your although much less sophisticated: inclined racing seat + wood frame + wheel and peldals support.
However i am wondering what thickness should i pick for wood/MDF part?
I would build it as light as possible and in meantime very sturdy and stable

Hey @Masi_23, if I were to donate to this project, is it possible to get rough plans prior to their actual release? I'm looking to start gathering materials for the F1 design and start building it out over the next month or so, but need to get my hands on some plans so I can have a rough idea of the pieces that will be necessary and their estimated measurements that I can work with.

Just curious if you have enough for me to work with at this point if I donate to the project.

Thanks!

Can you tell me what are the diameter PVC pipe you use. Are those 2 or 3 inch pipes?

Hey masi! You still keeping up with this? I'm in the market for a DIY rig and I'm pretty sure I'm going with yours, so I want to make sure you're still out there so I don't send $20 off to some random PayPal account... Thanks for the update...

So I'm definitely grateful for the time that you spent on this, but better accurate measurements would be a lot more helpful. Also an accurate parts list. The u bolts in your parts list are the wrong size and don't fit around the pvc, so now I have holes in my pedal board that won't work because the u bolts are too small. You also left out holes and specs for the shifter mount and seat mount.

I'm starting to regret paying for something that's not complete and accurate.

Nine months since last contact from Masi it looks like the F1 plans are not going to be available any time soon, if at all. Such a shame as it looked so promising a rig

Hi Masi_23,

I'm interested in the GT1 cockpit design. However, I have a Logitech G27. This design can also be used with this wheel?

Once set, you can disassemble the cockpit to move it to another place?

It wouldn't be hard to figure out the basics dimmensions from the detailed pictures provided here

Anyone here given up on the long wait and put something together themselves ?

I've tried contacting Masi by pm and by the Contact page on his web site but zero response. I am quite prepared to pay up front for his plans if I could just have the dimensions and angles of what he has already. I want to use this as the basis for an internal structure within a fibreglass cockpit.

I paid for GT1 Blueprints on Saturday and until now Masi doesn't sent it to me and doesn't answer me.
According this site, Masi was online on Friday by last time.
I'm anxious to start building my cockpit.
:-/

Guys i'm completely new to this scene & looking for any tips. Took a chance on a second hand bucket seat today & just need to mount it so I'd really appreciate any tips on how best to go about it. The pictures best explain my situation. Ive been sitting on a single seater couch chair with a cushion behind my back up until now. Its a good height for where my tv suits on its unit at least..

Hello there! I'm here to introduce my new concept, Project-Simulation.

My main goal is to provide the budget minded (or stricken) racing enthusiast with the proper way to race without
breaking the bank in the form of DIY Blueprints. Designed will be two unique cockpits; GT1 (Touring Cars) and F1
(Open Wheel). GT1 is now available (www.ProjectSimulation.webs.com) while F1 is currently in the drawing board.

Only DIY Blueprints are available. Pre-assembled kits will not be sold for the foreseeable future, at-least in 2013.
Full cockpit specifications are listed below. A wheel mod service is also in the works; more info TBA.

Are you still selling this cockpit?

Looks like Masi is out... I discovered this thread about a year ago and decided to copy this PVC-cockpit, without buying the plans.

It was a long and hard process figuring everything out, but the result is pretty nice: http://i.imgur.com/KyutOLr.jpg?1

The pipes underneath the seat look crooked, but it's because of the removable trolley underneath the seat. Without the trolley, the frame is perfectly flat.
