Welcome to the PS4 Grand Theft Auto V Roleplay club thread! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find what our club has to offer most convienent and enjoyable! To make the transition from PS3 to PS4 as seamless as possible, I will be using the identical format as the previous club unless certain things would like to be changed by popular demand.

Note: Please note that that the game is rated M for Mature, so if you are under 17 please know that this role play WILL involve drugs, prostitution, shootouts, and other vulgar types. This, however, does not mean you cannot play if you are under 17, but you have been warned, and prepare to most likely get offended in one way or another.

This section is where events are dated. Any events planned will be posted here on either Sunday night or Monday afternoon. Check on this around once a week to see if you can be available during a dated event. I schedule events based on my calendar. If there is something in the way, I'm not going to put Grand Theft Auto first. i.e. "I have an appointment at 2:00, so I'll bump the event an hour."
Also note that the events don't start at exactly at the time listed. Normally, there is a 30 minute window between the times. I will add you as a friend on PlayStation Network and invite you to a chat room when I myself opens a lobby. Again, when I eventually get some moderators, they can host official groups. Myself or a moderator will then let everyone know in the chat room when the event begins, normally after about 15 minutes of setting up the lobby.

Any lobbies hosted without a moderator in them is considered not valid, as I wish to let each character grow as a club instead of having club members host lobbies and me not hearing about what occurred in said event.

You do not need a microphone to play. We use the PSN chat room for In Character (IC) and Out Of Character (OOC) chat. Though it is not necessary, you may find it easier to put [OOC] or something alike before your message. In character, when interacting and conversing with another player, let them know you are talking/interacting with them. If not, they probably won't recognize you.

1.) Don't 'stalk' other players.

Sometimes the roleplay gets a little damp, which requires you to get into some unlikely social actions. However, refrain for getting carried away from whom you talk to. As in, don't get in a group of 10 people all deciding to walk on the docks at the same time, and coincidentally 'bump' into each other. it is not realistic and annoying.
If you notice someone in a certain area by themselves or two, you can come up with some scenario to get interactive, but don't be a pest.

2.) No extreme killing sprees.

As exciting it may seem to you, it can easily ruin the role play experience. You can have shootouts with police, but it isn't logical to stand in the middle of a boardwalk and blast everyone with an RPG.

3.) No Extreme weapons for your character.

Self explanatory. I'll see how far the gun limitations are, but in the mean time - don't make your character have an RPG, minigun, and whatever else. I think walking around with a 12-gauge shotgun, and pistol, and a Uzi is unrealistic and extreme already.

4.) Don't drive unrealistic cars for yourself.
This one is pretty much self explanatory as well. A dead-beat drug dealer doesn't drive a Comet. It just doesn't happen.

5.) Once in a while, stop for a red light, or get some gas at the gas station.
It really bugs me when someone is constantly weaving in and out of traffic and running red lights. If it's a street race, it's acceptable. But just flooring it to save time or whatever get annoying, especially if you crash your car and just go get it fixed immediately. Also, to make sure you have read the rules, put "I like chicken nuggets" somewhere in your application.

6.) Don't kill anyone without their consent.
Self exploratory. Don't go around killing someone unless they say it is alright. Also, do not do anything to other member's cars unless they say it is alright as well.

7.) Don't fix cars like magic.
If you get into a car accident, don't drive over to a LSC and get your vehicle repaired instantly. Give it some time, like a real accident, and leave your car there for a few days, or however long you think your car damage can be fixed.

8.) Have common sense.

I can list rules forever, but most of them are common sense. I don't believe I have to post every little thing down, but that doesn't excuse you to act stupidly and say "It isn't in the rules!" Please, please, please! For the sake of the game, be far to everyone.

9.) Don't be absent.

I try too keep this as active as possible. When a member of the club is absent for an extended amount of time without notice, I am highly likely to remove them from the club and allow someone new to take their place. If you do not join a single event in a period of three weeks without notifying me, you will be removed. If you do notify me, then you will not be effected.

Please fill as most as you comfortably can. It will not only be easier to keep track of things, but also it makes me trust you more. If you are looking for help when making a character, check out this site. This will give you plenty of information on how you can build your character.

Role Play experience: GTA 5 on PS3

Name: Kurt Owens

Age: 25

Job/Career/Money Source: Kurt is the owner/operator of an automotive shop that specializes in the upgrading and customizing of people’s cars. Any aftermarket part you want on your car can be had at the right price through his garage

Bio (description of your characters past, present, and future goals): Kurt has had a very troubled youth. He was the least popular kid in school ever since the 1st grade and things never really got better for him. At age 14 his parents kicked him out of the house due to his especially low grades and just overall lack of motivation. The reason for this low point in his life isn’t perfectly clear, however many people seem to believe that he hit such a low spot in his life due to the massive amount of bullying he suffered through in school and his rock-bottom level of self-esteem. Kurt withered away into solitude for a few years to regain himself and no one really heard from him. At age 18 both of his parents suffered a tragic death due to a drunk driver colliding head on with them at well over 70mph. With the money left to him by his parents, he opened a hole-in-the-wall automotive shop dubbed “Iceman Motorsports” that specializes in performance upgrades and customization. To this day he doesn’t have any friends, all he has is his car and his apartment.

Personality (Angry, depressed, obsessive, etc): Kurt is a very introverted individual that never opens up about his feelings unless he can completely trust the person he is with. His persona is veiled in secrecy and very few people have made it past his icy cold stare to uncover his true being. He has a romantic and passionate side once he finds a girl that he can say and do anything with. He is one of the best friends anyone could ask for and is loyal until the very end to those that he feels will have his back in any situation.

I also don't think creating a PS4 role play club before the PS4 version is out is very necessary either. I'm sure @Pinkintron will just carry his club over, or run it on both PS3 and 4.

From Pink:
Oh yeah. This exists.

I'm not even sure if I want to continue this. Why? Grand Theft Auto V for the PS4. I am very happy at the effort that @bscar27 has to continue the RP for the PS4 version, however, I will not be a part of it. I don't plan on purchasing a PS4 (at least any time soon), and I simply don't have the motivation to still handle the PS3 version of this RP club along with there being another one for the next gen console.

If anyone is willing to host small events for the people who will still own the PS3 version, go right ahead. However, please don't count on me to be nearly as dedicated (if at all) to this anymore. I may enjoy an RP every now and again, but I just don't want this game to feel like a part time job anymore.

Anyway, those are just my two cents. Feel free to do whatever you want to do with the PS4 version @bscar27 , and feel free to use the same format as I if so desired.
Members - just let me know if you'd like to still participate in bscar's version of the PS4 RP for his sake. I don't want him to create it to have no-one want to participate. I let this die and I don't want to poison his version either, so to say.

I'm sure @Pinkintron will just carry his club over, or run it on both PS3 and 4.
Well I'm quite flattered, but that would feel like a full time job to me

I'm just glad this will still be going, and I'm glad that someone is using my format.
Just a side note - I recommend organizing the OP a bit. Organization goes a long way and makes your club look more appealing! :)👍

This is why I opened the thread early, to weed out any issues that may arise. :) A lot of updates to the OP will come once I get my hands on the game, so stay tuned!

Glad this is making a return. Went absent from the ps3 role play events just because of life events but anyways will be back. Hopefully I can run around with Volchelkin again also. And I will post my application in a bit or tomorrow when I have time to sit down and think out whay character I want to make.

And for now, until the online issues get sorted, RP lobbies will be scarce for now. Rest assured, one the issues are resolved we will hit it hot and heavy!

Name: Craig Murray

Age: 27 (Was 26)

Job/Career/Money Source: Currently unemployed

Bio (description of your characters past, present, and future goals): Craig grew up an only child in the heart of Dublin. Craig only had his father to look after him as his mother was killed in a car accident when he was three years old. After his mother's death, his father spiralled into depression and became addicted to alcohol. Craig also noticed his father was ignoring him a lot more. As Craig got older, his father became more depressed, eventually leading him to give up. His father left for 'work' one day and never came back.

This unfortunate incident forced Craig to move in with his closest relative: his cousin Leland. Leland wasn't the best role model, but he took care of Craig. When Craig got older, he was sent to school. Craig was a very shy child, so he didn't make many friends. He tried to avoid conversations with his classmates whenever possible. Because of his anti-socialness, Craig wasn't a very 'outdoors' person. He spent most of his free time watching TV or playing video games. Fortunately, Craig had good friends who helped him out by inviting him to a lot of things they did. This did help a fair bit, but he did still find it hard to meet new people, strike up conversations, etc.

When Craig reached adulthood, he moved to Los Santos with Leland. Leland seemed to have been more quiet in the past few years, making it very suspicious when he burst in the door with two tickets to LS. Eventually, Leland gave Craig some money so he could buy a low-end apartment to start him off. Leland also gave him some extra money for food, clothes, etc. Craig had wondered where Leland got so much money, and why he was acting so worried, but Craig didn't argue.

After a couple weeks, Craig got word that Leland was murdered by a gang. Apparantly, Leland had to pay back a gang for something, but Craig had no idea what. Craig also came to the conclusion that this was the reason why Leland seperated himself from Craig.

Leland's death made Craig realise how dangerous Los Santos could be, making him go to the shooting range regularly so he could learn how to defend himself. This definitely helped him out of a lot of bad situations. Craig didn't even notice how much this reduced his shyness, as he was more willing to go outside and actually talk to people.

Craig never wanted to hurt or kill anyone at first, but after a while, Craig became more accustomed to the idea of defending himself and, if needed, taking out attackers.

Since he has been in Los Santos, Craig has met a lot of friends, but not all of them have been a good influence. In order to gain enough money to pay for everything he's had to do quite a few things he's not proud of. But, as a result this has toughened him up. That's not always a good thing, though. Craig is not nearly the same person he was back home. The city has changed him into a different person. Although it doesn't matter to him if that's good or bad. He's surviving, and to Craig that's all that matters.

Personality (Angry, depressed, obsessive, etc): Craig isn't one of those gruff, smooth badasses you see on TV. He has morals, and he still sometimes questions whether it's okay to take the life of another, be it in cold blood or in self-defense, but he tries not to dwell on it.
Even though he works alone, he's good at following orders, but he's not very experienced in the leading category. Craig is still affected by Leland's death, but is fairly good at hiding it. Overall, Craig is a fun guy to be around and will try and help you out whenever he can.

Sorry for the double post, but how is the chat going to work? Keeping track of the conversation you were having was easy on the PS3 version because it came up who said what in the top right corner of the screen when someone entered something, but on the PS4 you don't seem to get a notification at all. Will we just constantly check the chat in case someone replied?

When it comes to things like that I guess we will just have to use trial and error to see what works and what does not. Also, who would like to try for a lobby Wednesday night?

Hello. I'd like to join in, if there is still room readily available. My character might seem overpowered as you read it, but by the end he has been knocked down a couple of notches. My character is heavily inspired and is primarily based upon Pagan Min from Far Cry 4, but do expect a little bit of a different character and no, I am not trying to repeat Far Cry into GTA. I just love Pagan Min.

In Character (IC)

Name: Pagan Patel
Age: 48 (looks about 35 with his face lifts and the work he has had done to make his appearance seem more youthful)
Job/Career/Money Source: Drug lord
Bio (description of your characters past, present, and future goals): Pagan grew up in China born straight into the drug trade under his father. His father was a lot more reserved than his flamboyant son. It's Pagan's peacocking that drove a wedge between father and son. Pagan's riches primarily came from his father's work, with Pagan being his second hand man, the lieutenant of the mid-level crime boss.

Unsatisfied and ambitious Pagan decided to take more of what he felt he deserved. When his father was killed by unnatural causes Pagan changed his name, established a small private army with his inherited money and crime syndicate, then continued growing upon the family business. After Pagan took charge it grew to exponential levels. Pagan's gang, although it was more like a small army, was very well organised and kept in line. Not only respecting, but fearing their eccentric leader.

After his fathers former friends in the heroin drug trade became very angry at Pagans control, they launched an all out gang war on the streets of Hong Kong. Pagan's men were shot on sight, and multiple gangs all targeted Pagan while still killing each other. In the end, Pagan's men were better trained and better equip to deal with the situation than the lower crime syndicates. Pagan decided he couldn't kill everyone and that he didn't fit in, so he moved to America with much of his old gang. Pagan was a millionaire and found little trouble setting up his business in Las Vegas. Not only did he buy a casino but he lived in it for years, getting rich by ripping people off legally while having a very large and diverse drug trade on the side. He employed multiple lieutenants of his own to keep things busy and running smoothly.

Until his second in command, Levi Montarello, thought Pagan was no longer fit to be a king. Pagan had fallen in love and had a child, who was murdered by a rival gang member that Pagan previously had heard no mention. After this Pagan became a recluse in his casino, leaving the running of The Patel Empire to Levi and his other lieutenants.

Pagan has barely escaped with his life, leaving with a handful of loyal soldiers to Los Santos. They are his eyes and ears, he has a hacker to monitor the major goings on and do work if needed and men still on the streets selling stolen produce. A pathetic turn out for the once great empire. Pagan seeks to rebuild his foothold in America and control the streets of Los Santos. To become the most successful drug lord in San Andreas.

Personality (Angry, depressed, obsessive, etc): Pagan Patel is very charismatic and flamboyant, as evident by his charming wit and noticeable clothes and behavior. He also happens to be very psychopathic, valuing human life very little. He is willing to kill one of his own men if they fail to follow orders and ruin his plans. This is rare however. His leadership skills are evident with the empire he previously created.

Vehicle: Once owning a variety of expensive cars, despite mostly being chauffeured in a limousine or helicopter, Pagan now only owns a Benefactor schafter Sedan.

Photograph (If available):
I took a few but was unable to transport them to this website right now.

Being that my character is a lot older than the current ones posted and has far more experience it wouldn't be far fetched for him to be established as a leader, should anyone decided to join him. His gang would be distributing drugs of any kind, but the goal would be to establish a steady drug supply with a good production and distribution rate. This would be a former king of the trade being knocked to nothing trying to establish a crew a build his way back up.

Oh my god I completely forgot to add that Pagan Patel loves chicken nuggets. Very important for character development ;)
Looks like we may be driving around LS looking for a Cluckin' Bell during one of our events!

Pagan's car has purple neon lighting on the sides of his car, since Iceman Motorsports has a specialization in performance upgrades and namely customization maybe they could have met through that. It could also happen that Pagan kept Kurt's number for future contact and one day Pagan's car breaks down and he calls up Kurt to see if he can come help him with it (for a fee of course) and then that gets them talking, and Pagan offers the young man an offer of taking him to cluckin bell, on the house, for being so readily available. Which could get them talking.

Ah, okay. Also, I think I could make the lobby, but is it the same time-zone as before?

I'd love to do this, I love RPing in games have done it a few times before, but I don't get GTAV on PS4 til January/February so I'll wait til then

I'm from Australia so my times are all out of whack compared to yours but I could in two hours if you're up for it. How would it work? Plus, I have on 40 something rank character but that isn't the one I used to make Pagan Patel. I'm really wish I had made my rich female character look like Pagan Patel then swapped the females looks over to my lower ranking character. Would have suited it a looot more.

Right now, I'm basically homeless XD

Outside of the roleplay I'll work on my rank and money though...
