Current Road America training

All is more than ok with my tires, laptimes were high because i was gifted a big crash from the AI soon enough and lost around 10km/h of top speed lol I think i can get around 2.08 or so, but man i'll never race an absless car ever from now on

But it makes you slower and makes you change setups to avoid brake locks...

@Skaankypuppy, I've not been on lately due to work being busyier than usual, particularly for this time of year. I simply don't have time for any meaningful practice anymore. I think it showed at Brno and Monza. The races simply weren't fun for me.

Nothing wrong with your series, in fact it's easily the most popular one on here and for good reason. I think it's just people are getting tired of the game and it's issues now.

Not one off the big issues ( landmine , screen crash, wheel grinding , online problem ) has been solved after 7 months .
Hope to see many guy's (except for one ) with Assetto Corsa so we can continue are online group over there .
To tell you the truth I do mis it to race with you guys but I don't have the motivation to practice for a whole week to encounter one off the big issues in a race .

Actually after the last 2 patches it seems most landmine issues are gone as are the crash to home issues, mate.

In any case that is why i was considering hosting a no-tune serie... Only time required is the one for learning the track; should suit those with little time or no wish to tune.

I'm really disillusioned that major bug fixes are not solved. i.e Replays, Wheel bug issue, Blue screen, mines (all in 3 hours play yesterday) and the stupid temperature readings at tracks in Europe this time of year. Brands hatch 87f... hmm winter heat wave in England anyone 31c+ at 11am..lol. Now on to tyres If SMS say track temperature's impact on tyre performance well if the cannot get a simple thing like track temp right I have grave concerns with the latest tyre patch.

Pre patch tyre wear was wrong in my book especially with softs. But I believe the have gone over board with 6.0. Tyre's going red between 1 to 2 laps is extreme. (Tested at Watkins Glen). The load set on a particular tyre is excessive then multiply that by ambient temp. So you have a tyre's heating by X amount on Brands Hatch with 31c at 11am. Not happening. SMS say they strive for realism but only thing real about this is 500 years ahead with globel warming. It just after 11.40am in UK Brands Hatch temp 11c - 51f

So in a nutshell my patience is running out with multi player in this game with bugs and what not. If they don't get there act together I'm moving on. Its a shame because this game had potential and still has if SMS get there heads out of the clouds.

Seems from what some users are reporting, that the main issue with super fast heating some are experiencing is in the wheel turning ratio having it setted too much to "fast" causing excessive scrubbing while turning and accelerating.

BTW of all the complainers on the official forum not even one managed to show his setup+replay with telemetry and i'm still puzzled as to why many have no overheating issues at all. I'm for one have zero issues with it and many other are posting their happiness at the new vastly improved tire model that actually makes tire management worthwhile.

Seems that they did actually patch some "setup loophole" that allowed for improper extra speed at no rubber cost and some people are hurt by that...

I'm sorry for them, but i find the new way all works normal and realistic... Now you get the fastest lap in race after a good deal of fuel (so in the last half of race) is gone and only if you managed your tires like in 99% of the real racing series... Never heard of a race where the first laps on full fuel load were the fastest, right?

I wonder what it is that makes so much difference in the tire behaviour between drivers racing together and in the same serie... I can only think of setup and driving style.

Please guys with overheating check the Steering ratio and test if it makes a difference for you, it might be a great help in tracing the problem some are facing.

I'm italian and i should be patrioctic, but there's really too little in assetto corsa as far cars and tracks goes... At least they have a good number of GT3 cars but i do not suggest you guys to see at it like the second coming of christ

It will be any way gt3 cars for online race and the tracks will come along in time I hope Karsten .

They say they are going to add a bit of variety, but no variable weather for example, and while i love to be able to race Magione, mugello and vallelunga... Man we'll get bored with so little tracks... I think a serie like skaanky's would cover 110% of available tracks

Are we still running little to no camber after patch. I myself are still running 0 all around. Im running 2:07's at the moment @ RA

Thats exactly what im working on. Im saving for a future proof beast. This is the way to go for sim Racing!!! 👍

For me the master race is playing on my dining room with space and sofa when I want without having to fiddle with PC bullsh...

And I have a PC and use it a lot everyday. For me pcs are only for work and SimCity or rts games

Also a gaming PC costs ad much as a ps4+ps5 and no exclusive games available. Last part is the need to update every couple years while with ps3 I had ma share of fun for what; 5 or 6 years playing gems like the last of us.

I was a PC gamer but now that I'm old I prefer confortable gaming since I do not have the time nor the money to keep up with PC games.

I mean, Steam has more exclusives than all the current gen and last gen consoles combined, but that's neither here nor there. Steam Link/Big Picture and Steam boxes make couch gaming totally a feasable thing too.

But yeah, Assetto Corsa is awesome and hard as balls. Makes Project CARS looks like a Codies F1 game in the physics department, much fun though. Looking forward to the Ferrari F138 coming to it.

My best is low 2.08's so not fast & when I try to go faster my tyres are hotter than Jessica Alba, so obviously my tuning & driving style suck.

I've seen aliens do 2.04's.
With perfect setup and perfect lap 2.03's are possible I guess.

MY left side tires are getting warm. But not to bad. 6.0 has a unforgiving soul. Forcefeed back is important here. I can really feel my tires starting to slip. If you go over the edge, they start to cook. You can knock on Edge's "" door just don't walk in!! For OZ and Zaks, 6.0 can 🤬 it. 👍 I'm just going along with it man. Its all we can do for now.

Thanks for replying. Well someone needs to know, and plan what is happening, as it's been very quiet in this thread this week. I'm not sure what room i'm in as nothing was put up for the Road America races today. If someone knows please advise, thanks.
