I really enjoyed our battle yet again. I could tell you might have been struggling on the breaks a little as I had to check up a couple of times while chasing you. I figured you let me by & was expecting you to put me under a lot of pressure at the latter stages, luckily I managed my own tyres quite well and was able to put in a few mid 2.07's in the last few laps & I needed to as one mistake would've seen you take the position.

I also had a squeaky bum moment lapping that car, he lost it on the curb on the quick righthander just before that section, here's a pic from my replay (only of course the car in the replay isn't the same one I was racing lol)

Oh and @Rexuz Cheers mate

I let you by because i expected you to shred your tires a bit trying to get away, then at the back straight i *think* you might have misjudge the braking point and i was about to collect you to the gravel as can be seen on the replay i posted :D

I guess my idea of letting you through and catch you back later was actually silly for you had tires as good as mine i bet :D

i wonder how @Rexuz and @killerramsay 's tires were; if they could post their last lap tires i would be interested in looking at them.

BTW @ozwheels we missed you, if you had tires problems we might had been racing together with you and @McKiernan :D

Thank you! @ozwheels

Here's the epic epic race I had with @killerramsay and @Pedroeol.
Really good and clean fights throughout the whole weekend.

@azidahaka Here you can see how my tires lasted.

For some reason my car skipped 1st gear and went into 2nd straight away which created some mess behind me in the start. Sorry for that!

There is a bug with your starting gear if you get in warm up and get interrupted by the counter while on track... I had my car engage 3rd in a previous race! I think you can ser it in my older vids.

I never run warmups from then on

Im going to have to pull out guys. Id like to thank @Skaankypuppy for the hosting/organising and running of the series. Its a shame the game itself lets it down. After my 3rd or 4th disconnection i cant be dealing with it no more. Unfortunately i dont think the game is ready for a full on competitive series.. once again thanks skanky for allowin my participation.

Look in the mirror, bye!

Can't be bothered to write up anything about this guy, he's just a waste of time. So i'll just copy n paste on what I said on Karsten YouTube Channel, Yeah hammy is such a great driver isn't he , first off he decides to ram me off the start line ( check your rear view mirror at the start) I didn't bother to say anything at that time. But then decides to warp like a freaking space man all over the shot. He says its not his fault, but he knows it is As we had this discussion back in the thread weeks back about his connection issues if its not right then don't ******g race.
Cheer up i caught your dissapointment while recording :D

Thank god mine words were not recorded else i would get a youtube and GTP ban :D

How could i ram you off the track if i was in front of you at the startline? To me the verb 'to ram' means to hit someone or something from behind. To me one thing i've noticed since the 6.0 patch is at the start of online races, the cars don't sync for a split second (a bit like when the game first came out in May) , so people start fractions of a second differently from each other. I said i was sorry for you suffering due to me, but you word your posts as if i did it on purpose, i didn't push a button like James Bond to get lag, and to mess up people's races.

Again, i repeat that my internet is fine, it just seems to be a combination of all of us in different countries combining to create lag, like a clash of connections. I race pretty much every night online and usually don't get lag like i only get in the rooms in this series. That ping shot of 3400 or what ever it was should mean that i should have dissconnected. To me the game should detect that and disconnect that person. Maybe the game is at fault a little too, no?

BTW your previous post, i know i'm not an 'alien', i've never claimed i was an alien driver, i just consider myself clean and quite quick, nothing else, so that comment was uncalled for really. Sorry again.

At 7:38 on Rexuz video is when I left the session, which is after Karsten and Acekiller, I don't know who left right at the begining tho, so points would need to be adjusted there.

It wasn't a bad idea in fairness as early on my tyres were reaching 120*c & over on the left rears in the 3rd sector, they would cool down a bit on the rest of the lap but mostly they were hovering about 106*c - 112*c, they just seemed to hold up better in the 2nd half of the race. It might've been due to a lighter car, or coz the tyres had been through a few heat cycles I dunno.

I'd like to think that we'd be closer to the quicker guys but I don't think so. In race one Ramsey & Rexus were steadily building a gap every lap & by the end of the race I was 26 seconds or so off the leader, the only reason I was catching 2nd was coz Ramsey got badly damaged trying to pass a backmarker a few laps before the end and was losing heaps of time. I think the quicker guys will still be quicker with this tyre model. I personally think the new tyre model is a step in the right direction, but I think the tyres heat up a bit too quickly particularly in cars that are basically endurance race cars. I had a lot of fun racing but at times it felt I was more babysitting my tyres than racing.

@Mr SkyyJuice I think @Rexuz replay shows the order, I'll have to recheck but I think Karsten left first, then Acekiller DC'd and if I'm right you were in the pits & left from there?

Ahem ......Australia !!!!! Think Skaanky might have to look into that one, geez

Had many races with @Pubs16 from australia and zero issues, i guess he can just enter and we can connection check him while training.

To @HammyMansell 's defence i'm not sure he can be aware of anything around him with a ping of 3000ms. 3000millisends is 3 freaking seconds lag.

To me at the start all cars around me didn´t lag or suddenly jump backwards or forwards, maybe the game is to blame, or the game´s online servers, as much as you all think my internet is bad, which it isn´t by the way. The only time i get true lag is when i´m in a room with you on a Sunday in this series, no other time, maybe due to a clash of places/connections....Who knows.

Like i said since the 6.0 patch things have got worse, not better, in terms of stability. More disconnects for people as a session begins, and/or game crashes and sends PS4 to blue report screen.

See hammy we say that it's your connection because you are the only driver that is lagging to more than one other driver...

If you were lagging only to me, our connections might have been 50% at fault, but since you lag for me, sky, ace, and kiernan (and maybe others too) we can be pretty safe the issue lies in your connection or if not the connection in the router settings like NAT, DMZ, MTU settings etc etc... may even be the internal firewall of the router that blocks too many connections for example....

In race 1 no one had any issues, but in race 2 we had 2 or 3 extra drivers in so that may have been the trigger.

I'm pretty sure we can help you fix the issue, if you try to fix your attitude. Many here are experts on tech things and i have a friend that is a professional systemist for oil platforms and TRurbines that might give some head's up.

Must be frustrating to you, but TRUST me it's way more frustrating to those sitting out of the race after a lag crash.

I cba quoting and editing but the game doesn't even use servers, at least in that sense. It's P2P. Any lag is down to the host and the effected persons' connections. 9 times out of 10 it's the person who seems to be lagging, who is in fact lagging. The other time is the host with an insufficient connection/has issues which in turn causes issues for everyone.

I was just wondering the same thing. I know Project CARS uses P2P & was curious if the problem lies with my connection to Hammy or vice versa. i can't say for certain but apart from Race one last night where there was no lag I think I was hosting everytime there were lag issues. Maybe a few of us could test during the week to see if that is the problem & if it's better if I don't host.

It's 100% his issue. There are certain people on here who consistantly have poor connections, regardless of host for whatever reason. I imagine location is the defining factor in most cases, not everywhere has high quality internet available, and even if it has decent speeds, ping is seldom great.

Also, before this gets blown out of proportion I am not attacking him specifically when I say it's his issue, merely that the issue is somewhere at his end, be it at ISP level or whatever. Same for anyone else.

Maybe the game should have servers then, as i would imagine it would make the connections stronger. I know people with 20mb up and down speed who have had lag in the past........ Or it's the game itself. I don't lag on any other game i play, only PCARs.

Also the ping doesn't seem to mean much either. In the last week i've been behind others in races, with ping of 300 or 400 and no lag...And for the record i wasn't lagging at the time either! :D

How do you know it's 'my issue'?? Do you know what Internet connection i have? It's speed etc? No you don't, so don't just assume it's my problem....This is what pisses me off here, you all think you know things, without knowing. AGAIN MY INTERNET IS FINE, i've spent time adjusting the router, putting forwarding ports, DMZ etc, the router doesn't get hot, nor has it ever got hot. I know and have done all that. Stop assuming.

The PC version has dedicated servers available. Limitations of consoles I'm afraid, very few games implement dedicated servers for them. Only one I can think of off the top of my head is BF4 at the moment (true dedicated servers that are modifiable and hireable, not the CoD kind that are completely at the dev's mercy.)

Read the disclaimer.

It's also past baseless assumptions at this point. I am not saying it's you as a persons' fault. Simply that the issue lies somewhere at your end. Probably at the ISP level if I had to guess. All the evidence points to you having issues when you play PCars with us, regardless of host. What happens in other races is irrelevant, we aren't discussing those.

I know it's not me 'as a person's fault' whatever that means. Maybe you wasn't discussing the races that i do with others, but i was, as it makes all this all the more strange to me. Why should i get seriously bad lag in only this series when i play with you fellas, but the rest of the time when i race others, it's generally ok and i'm lag free? A lobby is a lobby isn't it? Irrespective of who's in that lobby. As i said before i don't get lag on any other game, just PCARS.

Talking about catalunya...

I'm hilariously bad there :D a best of 46.6 super slow not consistent at all.

One of those track I'm never sure I'm driving properly...

I'll be online in one hour for training a bit if someone wants to join up

No, actually. The people in the lobby (in a P2P game more so than a dedicated server) massively effects things. Which is why I said location is often a defining factor.

I am wondering if it's a port issue though. Have you got a static IP/ports forwarded at all for the PS4? I had a similar issue on Lost Planet way back in the day that only seemed to affect that game.

I know it's a tyre killer again >_>

A little worse than road America not too bad at the moment, but I'm still in early tuning and setting up...

More concerned about pace stability and cleanliness above the tires.

Hope I can do better after training with @McKiernan :D

My temps in the front left at Road America got to horrendous levels. 250 degrees at some points. That paired with overheating brakes and having to save fuel meant it was a tricky race. I finished with only 0.3(litres? Kg?) left. I need to get setup better for Spain, I love Circuit de Catalunya.
