[PS4]Killzone ShadowfallPS4

Don't worry, not only was that spread on any major gaming forum, it's a generic log-in not tied to any registration. Usually journalists use it to get high-def assets without watermarks etc. The password itself (which is in use since ages) proofs that Sony doesn't really care.

In that case thanks to share...already downloaded the Killzone video...wow.

Yet people say it doesn´t look better than Crysis 3...I am a PC gamer too and Crysis 3 alone with The Witcher 2 are amazing talking about graphics, but Killzone Shadow Fall looks really sharp and beautiful. I can say even better than Crysis 3 because of the art Style.

Maybe Cryengine with other type of art style can look even better but not sure what happens with most of PC developers...they do great things but maybe not as good looking as they possibly can.

Let´s see if by looking at how some first party developers from Sony do things right, make them do the same.

My major reason to buy a PS4 are their exclusives. My PC is for the rest of course.

You need quite some power to run this video on your PC though.
I haven't tried it yet, but other videos with similar formats aren't enjoyable on my system (Core2Duo E7400 @2.8 Ghz and 3.5 GB RAM).

Use VLC media player which is free and it is the best. If it works bad is not because of your hardware...you probably need "codecs".

Download this pack: http://codecguide.com/download_kl.htm

The basic or the full version. As you wish. With that your videos will run smooth as butter. ;)

Edit: well I played the video now and it works mine on my PC as well...it must be corrupted or something. Is not normal...I watch BlueRay movies on my PC without a problem...so it must be a problem with it.

And wow 1.07Gb for 1 minute trailer?...hum...

Killzone: Shadow Fall takes place decades after Killzone 3

Stickskills
Both the developer and the official Killzone Twitter account have been getting buried beneath a sea of fan questions, and thankfully, many of them have been answered. One user asked Killzone.com about the placement of Shadow Fall in the franchise’s narrative blueprint and received a quick answer.

“It’s a sequel, it takes place a couple of decades after the end of Killzone 3.”

Are you using QuickTime Player, if not use it. I wonder if this game will be 1080p 30FPS. Edit: Seems like it is, makes sense given GPU in PS4.

Love the FPS genre, and love the Killzone franchise. Can't wait for the new entry. The change in enviroment is a welcome one, although i like the war torn atmosphere from the second and third game.

Killzone doesn't look that demanding... I would bet they hit 60 fps; at least on the software ran at the presentation.

Theres a rumor Killzone may have been built around 2GBs of GDDR5, not the 4GBs in more recent specs or the final 8 GBs.

Im not sure why you're so down on the PS4's specs. Not all games were going to be 60fps, especially launch titles.

Resistance Fall of Man, a PS3 launch title, was locked at 30fps too. And it looks like a PS2 game compared to KZ Shadow fall PIC

I am not really down about the specs, quite happy with them. Should make a very good gaming console.

I would expect games developed as graphics rich as possible will be aiming for 1080P 30FPS but more dvelopers should be aiming for 60FPS than they were on PS3.

If that is true oh myyy god , can you imagine what GG can do with the extra ram?:drool::drool:

What can they do? (if that is even true; keep in mind 2.2 (1.5 low-ballin) GB for VRAM is quite a bit. This is just for the graphics; not the binaries, executables, and anything else that will be loaded in as well)

...The twist is Sonara is half-cyborg/half-human...
Umm - slight nit-pick time. How can you be half-cyborg? The term cyborg means an enhanced human, so whatever percentage makes no difference in the slightest, they still will be a cyborg.

Maybe it was just the article writer though, as journos are notorious for such slip ups :sly:

Come on Scaff, gimme a break, I didn't even argue with him in the other thread.
Didn't plan to reply anymore anyway, so don't worry.
Your best option to avoid the arguments with II-zOoLoGy-II is to place him on your ignore list. Thats what I did recently. A lot of people have been having issues with him. Now I never have to read any of his replies ever agian. 👍

As for KZ4 the gameplay looks stunning as always. I rented KZ3 when it first came out. Played through the campaign twice in a row and loved it. I still feel KZ3 is one of THE best games I have played on the PS3. I finally purchased it recently but I havent had a chance to play it in 3d yet. I heard its really really good in 3d. Really looking forward to seeing how KZ4 turns out.

For me the third playthrough (second run on elite) was the best I think. I saw the chain of events better, followed the story better, knew beforehand what to do in some situations and thus avoided frustration and I think the environments are the best I ever seen in a FPS. And that definitely goes for MP both in KZ2 and KZ3. For me, it's almost impossible to get bored with the maps because I love the environments, the the flakes flying in the air, the snow and the green petrusite so much. I just don't like the remade KZ2 maps as much, the originals were better.

I like the way that the story in 2 and 3 plus the historical timeline info hints at sympathy for the Helgast situation. I wonder if in Shadowfall, what with them essentially being in a ghetto (at least it looks that way), that will be the direction taken?

Looks like the game at PS presentation was using 3GB GPU and 1GB system memory.

Ahh !!, lots of numbers !, looks cool though :). Finished Killzone 3 recently and loved it, this is a prequel am I right ?, could be interesting, I didn't find KZ3's story that bad tbh, reviews made it out to be a lot worse.
