RRoDzaaah!
"... is all that extra development time just going into adding more cars? Thankfully, the answer was a great big 'no'. "

I'm glad to hear that. Adding more cars, trucks, motorbikes, go karts, rice rockets, milk trucks, etc., would be a total waste.

"This poor little convertible is all by its lonesome self. Don't worry, though, more than a dozen cars will be able to take to the track at once."

What does this mean? More than six cars on track at once? There's no pictures to prove it, so I wouldn't believe PSM just yet.

"In the racing world, decals equal speed and performance. If you want a really fast ride, get yourself a few sponsers!"

Haha! PSM and ricers think alike.

Trueno vs. Levin.

edit: Massive leeching. I had know idea it was this bad.

I saw that article back at Barnes & Noble, Its pretty cool. 👍 Athough, PSM is an independent mag with no connection to the SCEA scumbags.

So you're one of the people that doesn't want to involve the "more car, more joy" thing, I see.

They write all that to say what we mostly already knew, and make up some fuzzy information to sound like they are in the "know". Great. I mean they mention speed blur effects, wow, just because they were in 'lastest' screen shots doesn't mean to say that replays have it in them.

Stop stretching the truth, to the point of viability.

-Oh and Viper Zero, I see you found a host + a domain for you website 👍

Are you kidding?!?! The piece about real time weather effects is something I haven't heard before (in fact, several people here have repeatedly stated that there would be no weather effects at all, much less real time)!! I would say that that alone is some blockbuster info if true! Not to mention racing any track at any time of day. I pray that this is true and if so it would definitely be the choicest and newest info on GT4 I've seen so far! Try reading the WHOLE article next time dude.....

PD must have some undercover agents who look on GTPlanet and report strange findings to GT4 or something. Some of the stuff we wanted was said in that PSM preview.

The only thing I probably don't see happening is weather (except for snow for rally. I have a feeling that will work. Maybe rain for rally as well. But road racing, maybe not. If they can pull it off, cool. If not, we can always dream.

I personally don't take seriously information from users here unless there is proof. You do, and I can't hold that against you. I just keep my mind open to things, so weather doesn't seam so big to me. I'm more interested in the variety and types of tracks.

I don't know but I'm a bit sceptical about that article, has anyone else said anything yet about real time weather effects? I'd be interested.

I guess you can only guarantee information unless it is mentioned in multiple sources.
Try reading the WHOLE article next time dude.....
I'll try :-)

ahh, ya caught me out:P

im soooo glad they arent working on adding more cars. if theyre like zipper interactive and socom 2, they will release an downloadable addon sometime in the future to add more cars and whatnot, but before having more cars/tracks, you gotta have a good base, and it sounds like thats what theyre working on.

Nope. The time should be spent on improving the AI and online play.

(for some reason, the text didn't get quoted automatically)

Interpretation:

More cars to the game?
More cars to on-line?

Cheers,

MasterGT

I've said all along that PD would have some surprises up their sleeves.

Good weather environments, more cars in a race and selectable race time (you know what I mean) are all welcomed!

Cheers,

MasterGT

I have a feeling from the article, and what was printed in the "rumor" section, that PD is working on the on line feature of GT4, to feature more cars, and not adding more cars to game. "Every area of the game is being improved..." means that PD is doing just that.

Here, PSM mentioned there are currently 4 cars available for on line play, but that 16 is possible, with "hundreds" of spectators that can watch the race happen live.

That is great news, if it's true, but they did say PD said that so it should be true, and racing any track at different times of day.

I find it hard to belive that the weather will be real time.Everything in a game has to be made before you can see it,it won't appear automatically,so if it is true that the weather will be real time then PD will have to create all those different weather types of wich are hunderds.Example:If u race at 12:00 o´clock the sun position will be different than if u race at 13:00 o´clock,or it might be cloudy. So as i see it it would be too much work to implement such a feature. But hey,if the rumour is true then i´m all for it.

It waon't be that hard, they only need to make on sun pattern then add it to each track and then add different clouds for different conditions.

Looks like we are getting 3D crowds  The human element is alive. It's great that the graphics will be improved, the AI, and the physics, all for the best :) Gt4's replays will have motion blur    Real time weather effects:eek: :eek:more than 6 cars on track  6 was fine with me.

Don't count on it, this is only one of two sources that say that, and neither provide that info in a quote of in a PD has said context.

Man, you are a pessimist. They said sony gave them the info.

crowds.JPG

I wouldn't take this pic likely. Their info sounds valid to me :D

They didn't say Sony gave them that, they said Sony tod them their would be variable weather and times f day. That pic is really old and was used in one of GT4:P's movies, anyway when GT4:P comes out over here it will have a second disk full of movies and intervies an news ect, so we might find out some definites then. The way I see things, is if you hope for too much, you WILL be dissapointed, if you hope for whats reasonable, but not a lot, you have a much lower chance of that dissapointment, and more of a chance of being pleasentley suprised.

Hahaha, There is no date for a states launch, it's out here next month, but if it does get released in the US expect it in 1 or 2 months. I'm not going to comment on the likelyhood of that though, cos it would be a pessimistic comment, lol.

 I can not wait for E3, so everything can be offically confirmed and maybe seen :D Imagine racing on the NYC track or the Fuji track at night while it's raining!!!! True bliss :)

spectators? Man thats cool - lol imagine that for each track, the spectators could cycle their view point through the available grandstands and spectator seating, either lock the view on a car like a normal replay, or pan around manually - zoom in w/ the triangle key like GT4-P replays... haha that would be nuts.

No bikes in GT4? Well thats not entirely true as per an interview with the man himself(Kazunori) at the last TGS. He stated that a vehicle fitting the exact description of the Dodge Tomahawk would be in the game. An 8.3L, 500hp monster, capable of speeds beyond 300mph would be featured in GT4.

If any mortorcycles make it into GT4, then their numbers will be limited, since they also have a motorcycle game in the works.

Cheers,

MasterGT

Yeah, I doubt there would be more than half a dozen and they would be only an extra bonus. If PD is actually making a motorcylcle game than GT4 would be a good place to test the waters.
