At £8 a go I think they will make a lot of money from it, which is never stupid for a business; greedy yes, stupid no. I'm personally against the charge by the way.

The real question is, who would be stupid enough to pay it! Also they should offer it free with every PSN+ renewal.

And charging for any name changes beyond the first helps to deter cheaters and griefers from trying to hide their identity by changing their PSN name every time they get called out.

Which seems like a bit of a paradox given they readily threw down $60 on the game in the first place, but hey.
