Puerto Rico - 51st State finally?

Since I've been living here in PR for a few years I think I can make my input even if this is kinda of a month old topic. Anyways PR is basically a state, we are teached English so this really isn't a issue and besides the fact that we are basically a state without the "state" part, I don't see why could this be so bad for the US. Sure we aren't exploitable but then again the US isn't losing anything, hell they would be gaining from us a few things, even if it's not at the level Hawaii was for the US.

Seems like they didn't teached you english well enough...lol.

I did ONE grammatical error, English is not even my second language, it's more like my fourth really. And here you are seriously harping at me about that post I did while on my phone? Real nice. I'm not from Puerto Rico, if you didn't notice by my flag under my name, but you know, I guess you are way too focused on pointing out trivial grammar errors to even notice.

Your "one mistake" was also in probably the worst possible place for it to be in your post. Had you made it pretty much anyplace else I'd think the person who pointed it out would have let it slide. Lose the sensitivity for a minute and look at it again, it was a comically unfortunate place for it.

Oh, as for the attempt to blame it on your phone: that excuse doesn't really cut it. If you can't post properly from a phone, perhaps you shouldn't post from a phone.

Oh come on, cut him some slack.

It's an unfortunate spelling mistake. Just look past it and address the rest of his post.

So I should stop using the forum from my phone's GTP app and stop communicating and having fun posting here because you can't handle one grammatical error I rarely do every now and then? At least I'm doing the effort not to commit one. And sure I said teached over taught, I clearly made a error.

I'm not gonna stop posting, I'm not perfect by any means but jeez, had he been more polite about my error I would've been fine, but that wasn't what he was meaning to do clearly. He was making a joke about the way they teach English over there. That's my main problem with the comment, I just happened to get caught in the middle with my mistake.

Thank you. At least you understand.

Wow, someone can't take a joke...lol. You did notice the "LOL" on the end, the universal acronyn indicating humour and getting a chuckle out of something. Hard to believe you can't take a joke or as a minimum at least see the incredibly perfect irony in the timing of your mistake. 👎👎

Okay, let's move along over a tiny error aimed at no other member...
