Another interesting or maybe pointless information I found out today is....

While talking with one of my company's lorry drivers about the Le Man he came out with that his sons friend is working on the pit crew for the new Nissan Delta wing.
How cool is that. Also I didn't know that the front wheels are just 4 inches wide WTF how does that thing turn or even have grip lol

I was watching free practice today and saw the Deltawing's front wheels being changed and they look like bicycle wheels!

Not holding it against it though, the car did look really menacing going fast on the track. Still can't quite figure out how does it work so well, many things about it just seem so wrong.

Sorry guys been crazy busy trying to set my time on academy. Might run some LMP practice later tonight. Any ideas on a good LMP time for the Nurb?

Pretty high-res Spotter's Guides for the 24 hours this weekend are up at simraceway.

Some really nice liveries on the grid too, Audi, Toyota, Lotus (even if they're only just sponsoring), Aston Martin, Felbermayr.. Should be damn good to watch.

$ I just noticed that Nissan has been posting guerrilla camera footage from the pit lane. As far as "sights and sounds of racing go" it's outstanding.

the fly-brid system on the e.tron makes such a crazy noise when Mr. LeMans lifts off.

I really like the way that sounds. You can practically hear the energy being stored. The R18 also sounds the business when accelerating.

I'm so excited! Only one night to go and then it starts!

Yea can't wait I'm working today but I finish an hour before the start which is good

Great videos I also love the way the e tron sounds lol

Also I hope the delta wing lasts the 24 hours.

nice, GTE qualifying times:

pole: Ferrari 458 (Jaime Melo) 3:55.393
p2: Aston Martin (Stefan Mucke) 3:55.870
p3: Corvette C6 (Oliver Gavin) 3:55.910
p4: Ferrari 458 (Olivier Beretta) 3:56.484
p5: Corvette C6 (Jan Magnussen) 3:57.081

Looks like our specs are a pretty good approximation, our pole time was only 1s faster. :D

our LMP1 cars are more even with LMP2 though ...

Go!

What's a good time for the Nurb for the GTEs, I'm getting 2:02.XXX. It's slow but I'm aiming for 3 seconds within the best time.

Omg the 3 car just hit the barrier and he was going crazy ripping off the body work haha best thing I've seen in awhile

Going to make it hard for the Ultra Diesel to beat the e.tron at this one.

one of the Toyota's is a bit bent as well.

Stupid Ferrari caused that shoulda seen the Toyota coming and not turned into it.

Its a shame as the Toyota's are making Audi scared. Lucky there is number 8 which I hope will do well

It's just typical Ferrari drivers no idea how to drive and no concideration for others...

Just a vid regarding the crash that just happened:

They should remember that the 458 which just turns into Davidson causing the worst incident of the race is a GTE AM car when they consider whether having amateurs @ Le Mans is a great idea.

Like I said in the main thread, scrap GTE Am and bring in GT3 cars with pro drivers.
