So I'm thinking about going to a Diamondbacks game on opening weekend, which is in a couple weeks. It's on Saturday the 7th of April. I will need someone to host the Division 1 race on that day, since the game is at 1pm my time. (same time as the race, go figure)

When someone else hosts, the following rules will apply:

- No safety car periods
- Limited damage
- Standard "line up nose to tail" grid order by qualifying times

I'll be purchasing my ticket tomorrow as the game is almost sold out.

My connection has generally been strong enough to host. But it would be nice if we could get someone from D2 to run race-control as I'd say there's a pretty high probability of a yellow flag at the T1 chicane on Monza.

Had a great race. Only one quirk. Pit road entry is long before AI takes over. Not wanting a pit penalty I slowed. Which caused Erick to read end me. Then poor guy has to wait on my car to enter pit stall. Was hoping he would be close after pit so we could draft and maybe gain time.

Top 5 with this group is a win for me though. RDS is doing well too!

No cautions. ;)

Since I can open rooms now, I should be able to host without any issues. However, I don't see why we should go with different rules. If the GT4 race at Monza was any indication, there will be incidents.

If someone from D2 wants to Host / Direct the race, we can do that. But I don't want any complaints from anyone if they did or didn't call a caution when one is or isn't needed.

👍 I would prefer this TBH, mainly because damage has plaged my season :ouch:. But if someone from D2 has the balls for it .....:dopey:

I think somehow, someone will say that either way hurt them (host vs no host).
I would be happy either way (cautions seem to help and hurt me...)

No matter what you do, there will be complaints. I'd rather have the rules be the same for both Divisions, so I'm willing to take the flak and be the host/director if no one else steps up. 👍

Yeah I'd definitely trust Rich to be director for us in D1, same goes for Nige and Jamen, but who could do it in D2? I wouldn't be able to do it since I work during the race but I'd suggest Tim, Travis (carracer), Dom.

I don't think Sunday (D2) is supposed to be an issue.

You can really get some good laps out of these tires before they start to fall off. I just ran five consecutive laps in the 2:09.3 to 2:09.4 range. Now to start tuning this thing to get rid of some of the push through the Arena.

I would think that outlaw could do the job very well 👍

Reasonably happy with this setup so far.

Don't worry Jay, this is the hardest track on the calendar to go fast at. You need to just spend as much time there as possible to really get going, more so than any other track.

Just as an example, I was at a 2:09.650 last night. Today, I got it down to a 2:08.696, although I may only have a few tenths to gain at most at this point.

I think part of my problem last night was I was afraid to push the car too hard. I had just finished running the Roadster on iRacing and that handles way different. The slightest miscue in that thing and I sail off the track. Tonight I'll try running GT5 only and see if that helps.

This track has a massive "grip line" T1 and T2 especially.
Aim for the dark "rubbered -in" track, it has a lot more grip.

I'm just waiting to get a second computer so I can get Iracing. Can't be gaming on my workstation :sly:

In this episode of "Tim's no budget theater" we have the D1 IMS race in it's entirety. Make a snack, it's 51m long and the only thing on the cutting room floor are the caution laps.

Sorry if I missed anything *fun*, the hottest contest was for p2 so I spent most of my focus there. Though you do get an on-board for 2 of the fastest laps in the race. Enjoy. 👍

Nice video, cheers for getting it up!

It's nice to relive Car's cheeky move on the final lap, oh so naive

It was a battle right to the line, great racing 👍

RT - I was wrong, you can get a B-spec M Schumacher. I know because I now have one. :)

Yeah, you got owned there. ;)
Though he did almost blow it, if wardez doesn't give him a helper in T11 I think you get to the line first.
