The thing is that I won't be able to apply to be a driver until I know what days it's happening and at what time. :ill:

This is for team principal. Driver apps will be posted shortly after a date announcement.

I know, but you said driver apps are coming shortly. And since the dates hadn't been announced I thought I'd say something.

But thanks for clearing that up. 👍

Press Release- Race Date

A tentative date of January 12th through the 13th has been decided upon for race day. Start time is TBD.

guys, this is going to sound stupid, but where do I find the team principle sign up sheet, every link I click on tries to violate my wallet by pretending to give me a free iPad, which I have all 4 versions of already,

Do we need to copy/paste multiple links for different seasons of participation? I've run multiple seasons of different series, so do I need to put all of them?

Press Release - Pre Qualifier

For pre qualifications, we will use the AMG Driving Academy Special Event. Intermediate level, full lap.
More details and sign ups coming this weekend.

Soooooo, on Behalf of Clueless Tunes, I would like to offer tuning support to a team that needs some help. Once everything is sorted (teams, drivers, ect.), let me know if assistance is needed :dopey:

Can you be a team principle and a driver?

Completed a driver application form, but I'm not certain on competing until the times are finalised. 👍

Oh, I just noticed that the 2nd box in both driver and principal sheets are series that you've ran before, not what you've driven in :dunce:
In that case, the only league I've ever ran GT5/F1 2010/NASCAR 09/NR2003 races in is the Hard Core Racing League- http://hcrl.49.forumer.com/index.php?noportal=1 (Our old achieve website open to everybody- http://hardcoreracingleague.uphero.com/ )
Unless I magically take over both the GTP Nationwide and GTP Truck series before the driver draft, just ignore that part :dopey:

Pre qualifications should be open this weekend.
Team Principal applications will be closing next weekend.

Pre-Qualification submission forms can be found here

Be sure to tell your friends about this race!
We have a couple very good drivers signed up already.

Pre-Qualifications are a means of ranking prospective drivers prior to the draft. This is not mandatory, but recommended if you feel you need to show people what you can do. Pre-Qualifications will be ran in the AMG Driving Academy Special Event, Intermediate Level, Full Lap. You will be using a tuned SLS AMG on a full lap of the Nurburgring Nordschleife. Drive your lap, but do not be so quick to quit out. Take a digital picture of the results screen, and be sure to save the replay (in case it is needed for further verification). Upload the photo some image sharing website (i.e. Photobucket, FlickR). Please don't use ImageShack.

as much as I would like to "show my talent" I think its pointless doing it at the Turdburgerring, in a car that in no way resembles what your trying to achieve here,

there is also no point in using GTA as your base as us Australian's for what ever pathetic reason do not get it,

there are result's, lap times, pole awards, etc scattered for most people throughout GTP, and there would be a heap for Le Mans circuit, in a variety of car's, all you would have to do is request people give you a link to the tread with the result's, which you did for principle entries so why not do it for driver entries,

1) Do you have a better idea as to what car/circuit combo we should use?
2) Where did I mention GTAcademy?
3) The logistics of that would be a nightmare. There is also little to no consistency with that.

Not trying to argue you with you (hope I didn't come off in a condescending tone).
BUT, that's the beauty of having the team principals. You can still contact them and perhaps arrange to hold a private test session. They may even choose to have a public test session to search for drivers.

I assumed you were using GTA as I haven't seen any AMG things outside of the "A-Spec" special event's list, and wouldn't know where to get a tuned version of an SLS,

if your looking for 54 driver's and worried about their driving standard's, perhaps try this idea,

hold a race using the Zonda R from recommended garage, that is probably the closest we will get to the cars intended to be used inside the recommended garage, then use the circuit le mans 2005, 5 laps on racing mediums should be long enough,

BUT, I would assume all people that applied for a team principle position would have some very very good driver's in mind, be it out right fast, or just consistent, there re obviously people whom are not associated with a team, and I'm also assuming potential principles may not have a full team, so instead of doing a complete driver draft, allow the team principles to work out their team's and have the ones that aren't in a team as dedicated stand in's, I know most of he people who would be on my team and we probably wouldn't win it, but we would enjoy being in it, they are a clean bunch of guy's with a bunch of victories in their fields,

That is exactly where the pre-qual is being run. It's essentially the same as the WRS registry event.

A-Spec Special events. You don't need to buy the car or anything. It's like the GTP WRS qualifier but the whole lap as opposed to just the first 2 sections.

However would it not make more sense for pre-quali to get people to submit a lap of La Sarthe 2009 in one of the 3 Classic Le Mans cars? :)
