PURE | GATE 2 - GT300 - Season winners - tony1311 and Team Wedssport

The reason I have to switch is because I'm "too fast". The teams have to be even. And I know from our Nurburgring race a while back you're faster than me. So...

Well seeing as I was the only one in a '08 Subaru to make D1 for the first couple races, I would say that team isn't very even either...

I know. No Lexus or '08 Subaru in D1 today.

I honestly don't care too much what team I'm in (care a lil' bit though :sly:). As long as the car is able to keep up in the race, I don't care if it's a few tenths slower.

Oh thats why your switching. Ok no problem. I can assure you I have not found the magic on these tires yet. Getting there, but not yet.

I'll wait till tuesday then.

Can I just get a clarification on something? I noticed on the replay, just about everyone crossed the solid yellow line when going into pit road. Was that actually legal?

Taken from the Round 3 specifics linked in the OP;

≡Track Specific ≡

Pit Entry: Only thing to keep in mind is to not enter too fast. The game will penalise you or even hold you in the pits with no release. DO NOT use any barriers or walls as guide or to gain time/speed.

Pit Exit: Make sure to respect the white pit exit lines. You can cross them, but only if you're 100% sure that the track is clear.
As always, if an incident occurs as a result from a driver crossing the line (Either the one on track, or the one exiting the pits), it is the driver that crossed the line who is at fault

It's ok to cross any lines as long as you don't interfere with another car or use the walls.

I'm coming back hard in the paint when I return in 1 more round y'all. I better not forget to change my gtp signatures!

So awesome man, enjoy it. You'll be glad to know our next series is being sponsored by Fanatec directly, too bad you already have the kit, you could've gotten it for free :P.

Did you have a PC set up yet btw?

If not, you may just be the most baller console exclusive racer on Earth atm, well, besides Jeff and Brandon with their triple monitor set ups and fabrication work xD.

Woo! Nice to see you around again sir, was hoping you'd pop in again!

What car were you wanting?

Great race yesterday mainly with Rich (Outlaw). Same as at Motegi and I have a feeling that we will battle it out at most races to come and I'm looking forward to it.

At Motegi I felt the I had a small pace advantage over Rich. At GVS I was hoping it would be the same as I know this track much better than Motegi, but if anything I think Rich had an advantage evident by the second stint where we didn't run close together and he seemed to have a small advantage.

Anyhow, I should have done better in the end where between Rich, Gooner (with damage), and myslef, I had the fresher tires and should have made better use of it. But I drove the last two laps really bad, trying way too hard, which is never good towards the end of a stint on worn tires. But the pulse was too high I guess and it took over instead of the brain.

Looking forward to Suzuka next week. Should be a great race its a great track and many knows is very well.

i think you keep your third place dranzer ;) i hope

He does 100% 👍

It was great fun trying to chase you down the last stint, Dranzer. But you fought it off nicely

edit: (if there aren't any other penalties involved before race results get declared official)

We are going to need the data from Div 2.
Fastest laps, gap to the winner, who disconnected on which lap and their fastest laps.etc

Also welcome pag42 to the ARTA Garaiya '03

Pag42: Welcome to a great series. If I understand correctly you and I are about the same age. It is nice to see that I am not the only crazy old dude that feels the need to compete (to the extent possible with limited skills) with these young bucks.

thank you:) They need some one to come last:nervous:

you've got to be kidding... that's so out of bounds.

Every concrete patch beyond a kerb is considered out of bounds. And the generic description says that it's out of bounds even though this particular corner wasn't called out.

Track boundaries for all races in GATE 2 are universally defined as follows:
The white lines along the edge of the track are considered to be the track boundaries. These lines continue onto the rumble strips at each corner. At no point should there be no more than two wheels over those lines/rumble strips. two tires must remain in contact with the track at all times. The preceding defines the "track." hard surfaces beyond white lines and curbing/rumble strips such as concrete, "greencrete", or turf and other run off is not considered to be track. White lines, curbing/rumble strips are track and even if you only have two tires on their very edges (to be reviewed and confirmed by as steward) it will be considered clean.

There's a few spots to be extra careful at.
Turn 5 kink, be sure to keep 2 wheels on the rumble strips.
turn 7 exit and turn 8, same again, keep 2 wheels on the rumble strips, the concrete patches beyond the rumbles is out of bounds.
turn 12 exit before the bridge, the white line is a road marking and not a track boundary, it is ok to cross that line.
turn 15, keep 2 wheels on the rumble strips
turn 16 exit, the large concrete patch is not part of the track, be sure to keep 2 wheels on the rumble strips.
Agreed with Tim, the rules are extremely specific here that literally anything beyond the lines/rumbles is out of bounds.

I pretty well have last locked up so don't start to crowd me. Aim for second last so I have someone to chase.
