I'll take it. If I am allowed.
The reason I have to switch is because I'm "too fast". The teams have to be even. And I know from our Nurburgring race a while back you're faster than me. So...

Well seeing as I was the only one in a '08 Subaru to make D1 for the first couple races, I would say that team isn't very even either...

Can I just get a clarification on something? I noticed on the replay, just about everyone crossed the solid yellow line when going into pit road. Was that actually legal?

Hi, Dad![]()
It's a pleasure to meet you sir, you must be real proud of your boys (and with good reason) 👍
Pag42: Welcome to a great series. If I understand correctly you and I are about the same age. It is nice to see that I am not the only crazy old dude that feels the need to compete (to the extent possible with limited skills) with these young bucks.
you've got to be kidding... that's so out of bounds.

Every concrete patch beyond a kerb is considered out of bounds. And the generic description says that it's out of bounds even though this particular corner wasn't called out.
Agreed with Tim, the rules are extremely specific here that literally anything beyond the lines/rumbles is out of bounds.twistedfirework
Track boundaries for all races in GATE 2 are universally defined as follows:
The white lines along the edge of the track are considered to be the track boundaries. These lines continue onto the rumble strips at each corner. At no point should there be no more than two wheels over those lines/rumble strips. two tires must remain in contact with the track at all times. The preceding defines the "track." hard surfaces beyond white lines and curbing/rumble strips such as concrete, "greencrete", or turf and other run off is not considered to be track. White lines, curbing/rumble strips are track and even if you only have two tires on their very edges (to be reviewed and confirmed by as steward) it will be considered clean.
There's a few spots to be extra careful at.
Turn 5 kink, be sure to keep 2 wheels on the rumble strips.
turn 7 exit and turn 8, same again, keep 2 wheels on the rumble strips, the concrete patches beyond the rumbles is out of bounds.
turn 12 exit before the bridge, the white line is a road marking and not a track boundary, it is ok to cross that line.
turn 15, keep 2 wheels on the rumble strips
turn 16 exit, the large concrete patch is not part of the track, be sure to keep 2 wheels on the rumble strips.
PhaedrusSocrateHe does 100% 👍
It was great fun trying to chase you down the last stint, Dranzer. But you fought it off nicely
edit: (if there aren't any other penalties involved before race results get declared official)
I pretty well have last locked up so don't start to crowd me. Aim for second last so I have someone to chase.
Thanks, i was trying get away from you when sailworks got disconnected, it was fun running away lol. I want the replay because it was a really fun race for me, shame couldnt get to save it
