PURE | GATE 2 - GT300 - Season winners - tony1311 and Team Wedssport

Gonna be a strategic race, I love it :D.
Or maybe not. Tried to simulate a one stopper, but realized after twenty laps that my tires were not going to make it that long. The strange thing is that the wear on my Arta was relatively even, whereas in all the other races, the rears forced my hand. Not sure if it's setup related or CPI is hard on the fronts. As for fuel, I can safely say that with a 2 stopper, the wait to fill it up won't be that long (maybe even no wait at all for the Toyotas).

I will go ahead and point out that the pit entry is one where a car can go in at top speed and ride the wall, so they can gain tons of time.

Is that a legal pit entry ?

That's good news and surprising to me. The Arta '03 is really bad on the rear tires, and given the long time being on WOT at this track, I expected it to be hard on the rears.

Fuel consumption should be one of if not the lowest of all events given the high averáge speed.

I always forget testing pit entry. Have to remember it this time. Thanks for the heads up.

I always let off and tap or hold the brakes on entry. 99% of the time I have zero issues, including at Laguna and Tsukuba.

Everyone can log their practice times here just select your car from the drop down list and add your times. You can update it as often as you wish.

≡Track Notes ≡

Track boundaries for all races in GATE 2 are universally defined as follows:
The white lines along the edge of the track are considered to be the track boundaries. These lines continue onto the rumble strips at each corner. At no point should there be no more than two wheels over those lines/rumble strips. two tires must remain in contact with the track at all times. The preceding defines the "track." hard surfaces beyond white lines and curbing/rumble strips such as concrete, "greencrete", or turf and other run off is not considered to be track. White lines, curbing/rumble strips are track and even if you only have two tires on their very edges (to be reviewed and confirmed by as steward) it will be considered clean.

≡Track Specific ≡

Pit Entry: Only thing to keep in mind is to not enter too fast. The game will penalise you or even hold you in the pits with no release. DO NOT use any barriers or walls as guide or to gain time/speed. Make sure you slow down on pit entry. Anyone using the wall to keep up speed will be penalised.

Pit Exit: Make sure to respect the white pit exit lines. You can cross them, but only if you're 100% sure that the track is clear.
As always, if an incident occurs as a result from a driver crossing the line (Either the one on track, or the one exiting the pits), it is the driver that crossed the line who is at fault

≡Fuel ≡

The in-game fuel calculator doesn't function correctly. You must do a test run of approx half distance and calculate your own fuel usage. If you follow the guidelines set by the game, you will run out of fuel

Is now: Qualifying deadline: 09.00 UTC | 02.00 PDT | 05.00 EDT

Not sure i'm correct but I think USA already changed hour for summertime.

yep. EST became EDT on Sunday morning. 👍

btw, OT but speaking of things happening first in the US. Just in case you were unaware... the walking dead came back from holiday a couple weeks ago to finish out this season. 👍

How to not be aware? I waited for feb 10 since december, when the season stopped.

Something weird I noticed with Sector 2. After watching multiple practice sessions, I'm apparently the only one that keeps their car on the inside all the way around. Must be a habit I picked up during GT Academy with that one test where I drove a slow Nissan around the same corner. Doesn't seem to hurt my times, though.
