Really hate to say this but I won't be racing this weekend and possibly may have to retire from the series due to fracturing my hand last night Thai boxing and now having it in a cast.

Will be keeping an eye on the thread though and hopefully will race again with some of you on GT6 if I don't make it back in time.

Completely understand. Bad luck on the hand. Hope it heals up in time for some GT6 goodness. 👍

Aw man, sorry to hear that Hancock, but on the bright side, that's probably one of the most bad ass ways to injure your hand.

But in other news, I'm announcing that we're running Round 4 at 17UTC/9AM Pacific time, two hours earlier than regularly.
The votes came down to 19 for, 9 against running earlier.

I heard that Tony was doing low 1:54s, and I couldn't believe it. I didn't - and still don't - see how such lap times are even theoretically possible, let alone practically achievable. Tony, you are something else...

I did some practice online yesterday and did pretty well, generally managing low to mid 1:55s. Personal best is a 1:55.133, with a few other 1:55.1xxs. While there's no question of beating Tony, I might just be able to beat JTown's time if I'm really lucky...

Good thing the SC's pretty strong around Nurb, I haven't had time to practice till today. Nice job Tony

Test room open if anyone wants to join. Will be on for about an hour.

1472 - 6681 - 3286 - 8593 - 5015

Anyone around to Q me?
1472-6399-8880-6892-0457
Will be in this room for next 30min

edit.
will be in room above

Tony pointed out to me after my two qualifying laps that the throttle was flickering at 100%. I have since corrected it, and I did a couple of laps on the back straight with the difference being consistently a few km/h (247 vs 250).

Do events like this allow a driver to redo his qualifying runs?

Same thing what happened to me in Monza, I cleaned the pedals but still I was getting a bit of giff today. Hope it clears for Q!

I cleared it by setting the max throttle position against a thin piece of card at the start of a lounge session. Probably the switch needs to be taken apart to be cleaned and lubed with some switch grease.

Can we get a steward in our room soon. Gonna Q before the hour.

Room number.
1472 - 6118 - 3916 - 1737 - 8209

Can people maybe be a bit less hasty with kicking from rooms? Try to familiarise yourself with who is in this championship. Can't join that room now, cheers...

The only time I recall allowing re-runs is if the room suddenly goes kapoot and kicks everyone out. Otherwise, all times are final.

Stewards should keep an eye out for this issue during the outlap and halt the session as a courtesy. I'll try to do that if it happens on my watch.

Just a friendly reminder. Since the start is two hours earlier for tomorrow, the Q deadline also moves up two hours. Please get your times in whenever feasible for we can't guarantee a steward being available right at the cutoff.

Ok, thanks Outlaw. Rules are rules, but I'm sure it's worth a tenth or two. I noticed it was ok at Monza because I recall Stretch's throttle doing the same, and I haven't really paid much attention to it since. I might have noticed it had it been beside the tyre meter though.

Lap 1 - 1:56.225
Lap 2 - 1:56.159

Lozza got dc'd after his 2nd flyer, at that time it didnt show his lap 2 time on the screen. But I checked replay and I cloud see the time again.

Yeah, it sucks... I was in D3 @ monza due to my brake sticking. Just part of racing, mechanical failures happen in reality so we just roll with it.

Anyone around to Q me within the next 30 minutes?

Never mind. Guess I'll have to wait a few hours.

Team update, switching guys over from the Motul to the Calsonic "B"-team.

:D

Really pleased with my run, though it probably helped that I really like this track and I had an extra week to practice since I couldn't race at Motegi. The SC430's pretty good round this track too, probably the fastest.

I just hope I don't mess up in the race :scared:
