Thanks a lot for doing that. @Tidgney should find it really useful.

I assume it was a good race. Looking forward to see Tidgney's race review. I watched race 1 yesterday, was great :)

We gotta figure out what we're gonna do about the 200km Nurb. race this Sunday. The race is going to be around an hour and twenty minutes long. We can either start two hours before or two hours after our regular start time so people can watch the F1 USGP.

I would prefer to race two hours before, as I have work on Monday morning! But I can do it after if that's the majority vote!

Can we get some info on track boundary at Nurb?
Atm, I'm taking the chicane like Monza but keeping 2 wheels on track everywhere else (turn 5 mainly)

I'm pretty sure that as long as you don't put more than two wheels past the red/white kerbs, you're within track limits.

Yeah, Spurgy's right. I'm gonna post some pictures tomorrow. We're just gonna be looking closely at certain run off areas, especially coming out of turn 1, the Mercedes Arena and exit of turn 4. Don't go past white lines. The chicane's also gonna be a conspicuous area we're all gonna have to look at closely.

And I can't stress this enough: we're going to be very strict with making sure people stay inside the track limits during the race. We're being quite liberal with the track contact limits already, so you all really need to be good about staying inside the track when you're fighting in traffic or getting a lot of under steer trying to chase someone down. We've had a lot of problems with that in the past, please be wise!

Also, quickly about the pit entry and exit, again, like always has been so far in JGTS 3, you can cut into and out of the pits however you'd like, we are not looking at this.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if in GT6 we had separated penalty options - so we could desable "collision penalty" (reaaaly disfunctional one) but enable one for "track boundary"...

Mixed feelings about yesterdays race. It was really eventful, lots of action on track, side by side racing, superb racing! But me and my teammate totally meesed up on fuel numbers so I had to 3 stop and I still ran out of fuel lol!

But anyway, start was not so clean in turn 2 I got slighlty bumped from behind(no damage) so I lost 3rd to Spurgy and lost contact with leaders. My pace was not that good after that in 1st stint so lost another spot to Outlaw.

Pitted on lap 19 and felt the car was coming back to me so I got in a few fast times, I was driving most of the stint behind Ghost.

Pitted for the 2nd time at lap 39 and refueled for 37l. I saw in the pit menu I should fuel for 54l. I'm totally aware that on normal fuel consumption the game calculates the liters spot on. I don't know how I could make such a mistake and I'm still pissed about it. I probably got confused becouse on our forum we use fast consumption but still I'm not playing this game for the first time!

So now driving in 2nd position on last stint and realizing I don't have enough fuel I made even a bigger mistake! I was trying to fuel save hoping I could maybe reach the finish. I saved a lot of fuel but was still short for about 4 laps. So I pitted 6 laps till the end and put 1 liter less than I should thinking it wont be a problem. Lost huge amount of time when I was fuel saving so I came behind Sken and Lozza.
This was now the most fun part of the race. Again fighting with my good friend Lozza. We always seem to find each other on track at some point of the race! Last few laps was just epic, 2 wide racing anything you name it!
Of course coming out of last turn I ran out of fuel and Lozz got by me just at the line!

Disaster for me in pits but a great race! See you at Nur. 👍

That's what I thought, but I've seen the word 'More relaxed' mentioned so I'm just getting clarification from the boss.

Going karting this Sunday, I'm getting ready to hit the full season next year, ill see you guys after Nurburgring even tho it pains me to miss a round!

There is actually 3 there, my girl drives the Rotax on the bottom, I'm sure you guys know why?!,.

A bit like Monza, it was hard just to get braking and points of reference right with plenty of time to spare, so I was happy to get into D1 comfortably. I'm not sure if anyone else agrees, but intense concentration is required for just reading the road and over the duration of a 300km race, it can be quite taxing to say the least. For me anyway!

The race got underway,

Looking on the replay now and I had the best tirewear in the first stint why did I pit early !!!!

I'm not sure why Tony pit so early too , I didnt see damage on his car on my replay , that early stop killed his race .

Mixed feelings like Nissman , some parts of my pace I was happy with but my last stint was poor ,got caught and passed by Lozza and Niss and couldnt keep up with them.

Bottom line is early pit stop killed my tirewear advantage and it looked good for the middle part of the race but in the end it bit me in the you know what

Really good replay to watch , very hard to believe that a driver of Outlaws quality is getting his first podium in JGTS .

The race got underway, and unfortunately I missed the braking point for turn 2 for lots of reasons and I whacked my team-mate. I have apologised, and from now I'll take certain measures to try and minimise this from happening again.

Anyway, well into the race, it was clear there are some relentless drivers who were difficult to stay with, which wasn't helped by the rears going off at an exponential rate. I took the gamble of one-stopping whilst hoping that reducing the rear brake bias would help for the second stint, but it didn't make much difference. That combined with going off slightly into the Kitty litter after Outlaw out-braked me, a spin by myself, and making a complete bollocks of the fuel made it a tough race to say the least over two hours. I even started going slightly delirious in the second half!

PS:- The fuel problem shouldn't happen again Niss because I mistook the number of laps, plus some of the numbers in the spreadsheet rounded off on the unfavourable side. I didn't pay too much attention because I'd based fuel usage on 10 laps with high grip, and traditionally you use less fuel with more tyre wear. Not in this case, because I recalculated and it reflected what was suggested when I first pitted anyway!

About fuel mileage, I still wouldn't place full confidence on the in-game calculator. Case in point; I ran out of gas at Toyko at the line even though I added 4 liters over my recommended number.

I'll echo Mirial about staying focused for two hours, especially with such fast cars.

Same here. I would prefer to start sooner than later. But can do both if needed.

Practice room up: 1472 - 6399 - 8451 - 1924 - 0082

Btw, IRT_RB26-X had to buy a new PS3 this week but he is having some issues to sign in his account, so he made a new one. His PSN is now AndroR35. Just to let everyone know so there is no confusion.

P.s. When did you become moderator Eddie? Congratz man, you deserve it. 👍

If we're voting on a race time I would say go earlier. As much as I would like to make it convinent for the americanos there aren't to many in the series so it wouldn't exacally benifit a lot of people

Plus I have an exam at 9am the next day xD, just seen it

I don't mind starting earlier, just want to know soon what the new time will be for Sunday. I missed our Seahawks hand the Falcons another loss to put us at 9-1 for the season because of last Sunday's race. I don't want to miss anymore Seahawks football. It was the only game I missed so far. :)

What's a good lap time for Nurburgring? :)

Just spent an hour or so practicing, able to run at high 55s now, was feeling good about myself. Then came into this topic to see JTown's 55.2, not feeling so great anymore hahaha! Great lap though!

If we're still debating the race time, I'm not going to bother waking up 2 hours earlier than normal just because a handful of people want to see some annoying German brat win by a full minute in a race that doesn't have Kimi in it.

Regardless which way time is changed (if any), people are going to get confused and miss the race. Just keep it the way it is.

I'd like to know ASAP, as I'd rather not practice, then find out later it's 2 hours earlier.

We've got to get a vote going. I'll announce the results tomorrow. PM's are going out with a link to the survey.

I believe Mule is asking whether there's enough people that would choose F1 over our race if the time stayed the same. Since we do drop lowest scores anyways, I'd much rather keep things the same unless we don't have the numbers to support at least one full room.

Yeah, I understood what he was asking, but trust me, this could really go either way in the sense that people will drop out regardless of what we choose to do. I'm just trying to find out which one will have the less impact on numbers and stay to at least two rooms of 12.

tony1311 has decided to become a privateer, so he's been moved to the reserve list, although he will be participating at every round.

I voted in the survey, same as every other EU driver, starting earlier. No way am I missing the F1 but starting later could be done, just inconvenient
