Read the last few pages Sifer, not picking cars yet 👍

Thanks for coming by, clean dude, you're really stepping your game up taking this series on :)

Oh sorry, can you delete 2 last 2 post pease? i had a internet problem, and ok.. let me know!

I have started driving the GTR and Im liking it a lot. I still need to break it in, and work on the setup. If, by any chance, I do like it better than the Lexus, can I make the switch?

Yeah, again, we haven't yet started picking cars.

That last round of car preference posts are now void until we do some testing.

@Nepalii - No one is locked into anything. We don't pick our final cars for a while. As for pre-season race, I believe you can race whatever you want. Just re-quote the list with your change.

That room is still kicking for anyone on the fence. Had some great races in there. Fun to get to race with Minion and LaPierre. Haven't had the chance to race with them in some time.

edit -Wardez, u are a posting ninja

Not picking cars yet Litchi, but wow you are definitely an intense speed when it comes to GT500.

Working on getting one more guy in here, after that this will most definitely be the fastest gathering of GT drivers, probably ever.

This is the latest and updated car spec list. Note the change of PP for the NSX's.
After testing it back and forth, me, Redreevos and CSL thought that adding 25kg, and put it to the front balanced it out. We also detuned it to 607pp with the ballast.. Took some edge off the insane acceleration, and improved the handling a bit. Feel free to try it out. 👍

Thanks Wardez. I really like the Denso Dunlop Lexus! Great fun to drive. And if I have a good set up for it, all the better! 👍

Means no upgrades, so yeah, stock power, weight, etc.

In my opinion - If we keep the GTR's stock, just scratch these cars

Bandai SC430
Enos 430
Possibly the YMS Supra as well.

All have only 35/60 downforce, which pretty much means without a weight advantage, they're screwed.
We've slowed the NSX down big time atm, and nothing else, I can imagine the requests pouring in for that one also.

And everyone's list will be as they are now, GTR's, and Denso/Petronas SC430's, Castrol Supra, Xanavi Z.

I'm not trying to sound like a 🤬 but the "wants" list of almost everyone tells the tale to me.
Since we can't lighten or increase downforce, the only remaining option would be add weight to these that out-corner the rest of the field.

I tried a GTR at 1150kg stage 2 turbo 608PP 508HP, made it faster on straights and slower in corners, which I would think is the goal.

IDK, maybe start the car "selection" and see how many requests we get for each, but I have a strong feeling GTR and SC430 will be abundant.

Those three just aren't class. Definitely agree.

I don't want to regulate cars by just making them super faster on straights and letting them suffer in the corners.

Unless we raise the weight of the GT-Rs it's not worth it.

I offered to make some testing specs with the GTR's and SC430's at 1150kg, and from what I've seen, it's very achievable, but it will require weight on them, we just can't improve cornering on the others.

I have specs if people want to try it out, gives the cornering cars more speed and less cornering ability, the opposite on the others, less speed and well the same cornering, but an inherited improvement by the others losing some.

I have a small problem guys. I'm tuning the Denso Dunlop Sard Lexus and when I put the Turbo Stage 2 and maxed the aero it went straight to 613pp. It's a brand new car and has 0.0km, so I'm quite at a loss.

Should I just buy another unit of the car?

I've spent next to no time driving Super GT cars in the game, so my picks were based on how cool I think they look.

Don't ask me why, but that Lexus I was talking about has 26cv more than it should. I'm amused.

To Dennis & Eddie: Can we use the chassis stiffening mod in this Championship for all the cars? From what I recall in my previous experiences, this mod made a nice difference to how the cars feel through the wheel. The FFB also tends to feel more precise and less mushy with this mod as well.

Btw, I'm going to hop online in just a few minutes if anyone wants to do some practice. Add me if I'm not already on your buddy list 👍

I can be so clueless sometimes... oil change is the reason, of course.

However!! I have a car that I still have to break in. It has already 613pp right now so it would possibly grow? Unless it's one of those cars whose pp get lower as they get more power. Can anyone confirm anything to me? Thanks!

Yes, power limiter is to be used on some of the cars.

I'm off to pick someone up, when I get back I'll look for you. 👍

Edit: I'll butting putting up a possible list for people to test, in about 30 minutes. My way of saying it's good will be to offer to take last choice in car, not sure if the Enos and Direzza can make that cut or not yet though.

Can someone help me out and share a GT-R tunning with me please?

I really wanna test another car besides the Lexus, so i can have my own thoughts about the cars. I know the GT-R stock tune is decent, but i couldnt get good results with it.

Didnt seem like i was on the same level as you guys today with the Lexus. I wanna make sure its me and not the car :)

I was struggling to get 2.16's with 610pp in the beginning, and my best lap was a 2.15.450 after i used a little less aero and more HP (is that allowed?), but the car was at 612pp though.

Use the power limiter to get it down to 610 pp. Should be around 95%.

I don't think that'd be a problem. Unless we can find that it makes some cars faster then I believe it should be option. Thanks for the input Brock, can't wait to see some times from you guys. Dennis and I were discussing it and thought that Monza and Laguna Seca would be two great testing tracks since Monza has the long straights and Laguna's more on the technical side. We don't want the NSX's to be too dominant on the straights so we're trying to figure out ways of making it a little less dominating on the top end but more competitive at the twistier courses.

One idea was to use a higher turbo instead of the stage 3 engine upgrade we're using now to achieve the same HP. Time to find out.

We'd appreciate that, just be sure to label it differently so others that are coming into the thread to check updates aren't confused. Maybe a different color would help 👍

We'll be posting some good tunes here shortly (I haven't been able to get my PS3 up and running today, been busy) so hang tight.

What track are those times from btw?

Losing aero to gain HP is strictly not allowed.

I forgot to bring up the idea of using HP and Weight restrictions instead of PP, I think it might be the way to go, although to keep it simpler we could just use the old system since every one here is trusted.

I'm off to work, but I'll keep an eye on the thread with my phone and post little things here and there as needed.

Cheers and thanks every one.

Track was Spa.

My Lexus had only 507hp with full aero at 610pp. Then i droped aero to get more HP, with the same 610pp, cause everyone was faster then me on the straights.

Then later i managed to get better results with 612pp, but aero still not maxed.

The Lexus should be a little faster than the GT-R at the current spec of 612p. Spa should be a Lexus track.

With aero maxed at 610 it should be almost dead even, at least we'd think. Break in the car fully and keep on at it, thanks Minion 👍

Lol, ok, really off to work this time, bai!
