Good picks, the GT-R would suit you well, and you'd have fun trying to tune the Lexus to do what you'd want xD

First:
Xanavi Nismo GT-R

Second:
Calsonic GT-R

Third:
Denso SC430

Though, I'll likely end up just being a "Customer"

Hmm, well you'll have to declare yourself as a privateer free agent or garagista then Mule.

Sorry I haven't been posting, just had a thorough read through and caught up though.

IMHO, division should be ran just like they are in WSGTC now. Each driver can have their ups and downs each weeks, depending on which track and what not, as some of you guys stated. So to change that to having a 'knock-out' or the other suggestions, I don't think its very fair.

On the race schedule, is there a mistake or am I not understanding it correctly? The events which have two heats, why is the shorter race in need of a pit stop? Shouldn't that be the other way round? Also, if possible, I think Fuji should be added, simply for the fact that it's an official SGT track.

Time issues. So far, 6pm GMT works for me. Will have to see once the FMSC season starts, but I doubt it'll be a problem.

Car choice. Option 2 is by far the fairest, but IMO, car choice shouldn't be allowed until all cars have been re-tested and finalized, as to me, it is sort of jumping the gun on some other guys.

Oh and, probably will come across as a real stupid idea, but it could be pretty cool if somehow we got everyone to race within the cockpit. Just a thought! :sly:

Err, can't think of anything else from the top of my head, so I think thats it.

EDIT: Also, is there a reason why GT300 haven't been initiated within this series? Just trying to keep it 500? Too much work to be done with keeping both classes? Sorry if im sounding demanding too.

I'll try to answer as good as possible, since we're not yet done with all decitions regarding your questions.

1. Divisions.
Yes, we will run a D1 and a D2.
We're not yet done with how we're going to decide with Division you'll race in from round to round.
At the moment, it leans towards a combined method. Part as we did it in WSGTC, and part a promoton/demotion system. More on that later.

2. The mandatory pit for the sprint races is to throw ni a bit of tactics, that's all.
For the longer races, you can try to do a 175 km race without a pit stop if you can. ;) .. Naa, but seriosly, there will ba a mandatory pit for the longer races.

3. Cockpitview: I've always said that bumper cam and a scaled down map to "2" provide for the best possible base for situational awareness.. It helps me a ton. You can race the way you want, but bumper cam and map set to "2" is by far the best way to go in my book.

4. Mixed class races are for WSGTC. This is not a copy of WSGTC. Ths is PURE JGTS with it's very own goal. The aim is to gather the most solid group here at GTP for epic racing thru an entire season.
PURE JGTS also put a totally different demands/expectations on the participators. It's simply a totally different series.
Yes. it's GT500 cars, but the rest is pretty far from WSGTC apart from the car specs that probably will end up close tho.

First choice:
RAYBRIG NSX

Second choice:
TAKATA NSX

Third choice:
YELLOWHAT Supra

Down with GTRs! :P

Perhaps we should wait with the wishlists until we're done with testing the cars?

I still got a few things to add regarding the wishlists before we can post.

The cars will be devided in to groups. Eaxample:
Group A:
Nissan CALSONIC IMPUL GT-R
Nissan XANAVI NISMO GT-R
Nissan YELLOWHAT YMS TOMICA GT-R
Nissan STEALTH GT500 GT-R
Nissan AUTECH MOTUL GT-T

Group B:
Lexus PETRONAS TOM'S SC430
Lexus DENSO DUNLOP SARD SC430

Group C:
Honda ARTA NSX
Honda RAYBRIG NSX
Honda TAKATA DOME NSX
Honda STEALTH GT500 NSX

Group D:
Nissan XANAVI NISMO Z

Group E:
Lexus ENEOS SC430
Lexus BANDAI DIREZZA SC430

Group: F
Toyota CASTROL TOM'S SUPRA

Group G:
Toyota YELLOWHAT SUPRA

With this said, your lists will look like this:
1. G
2. D
3. F

If you get your 1st choice, it can be any car inside that group.

If we don't do it this way, th elists will look like this.
1. TAKATA DOME NSX
2. ARTA NSX
3. RAYBRIG NSX

See where I'm going with this?

Owens Racing

First choice: Calsonic GT-R

Second Choice: Nismo Z

Third Choice: Tom's Supra

You are saying that our lists cannot include a given car group more than once, correct?

If so,
1. A
2. C
3. F

Den is right, wait for the car's specs before starting with the wishlists. Your beloved may have different specs this time and then you wont be able to change it. Im just gonna wait.

I'm going to start a sign up list for a pre-season race this Sunday at 18.00 PM (GMT).
The first 14 who sign up will make this race.

The race will be held at Spa, and run over 175 km.
You can race any car you feel like.

I think this should be a good way to get to know eachother a bit.
For this race, I'll keep the damage to weak.

I'd love to add my name to the list, but there's a small chance I may be moving this weekend, so I cannot guarantee that I'll even make it.

I'd like to use the race this Sunday to decide if I want to commit to the series 100%, is that ok? I've never raced wheel to wheel in a GT500 car and as I've mentioned, I don't generally enjoy driving high power cars when using a DS3 controller. So I don't want to commit to something unless I find the racing to be fun, but I also want to make sure I'm competitive in these cars. (I find high power cars need much more throttle control, which is difficult and therefore slow, with what is basically/almost a throttle on/off switch when using a DS3 :P)

This is going to be a dumb question, but can someone confirm that people without the DLC can race on Spa? I can't search for Spa in the public lobbies, and I'm worried that I may not be able to race.

I'd have the DLC, but I've got an AU account and a US disc. I suppose I could buy the DLC on my US account, but I'd have to go through all the drama of buying a US PSN card and downloading and then grind for a few hours on my US account to get the cars I need to race. Seems like a ridiculous waste of time, and I'd rather not give my money to PD for coming up with such a retarded system if I don't have to.

If I can race, I'll be there, but I may not have had much practise. Still, it's not like I haven't been racing Spa in every other game I own for years now so I should know my way around. ;)

Yes, as of now you absolutely can. 👍

BTW - If anyone's around for whatever reason, I managed to get into chordas lounge now, so I'll be doing some testing there for the next while. :D
Unless he gets on and kicks me out.

Went out to change oil and server's down for maintenance. That was a mistake.:dunce:

About my car picks, the only one i got a decent tune for is the Petronas Lexus. So i dont have a 2nd or 3rd pick, but if my partner happens to have a good tune for another car i could try and race with it.

I got almost no experience with NSX's though.

First choice:
Lexus PETRONAS TOM'S SC430

Second choice:
Nissan

Third choice:
Nissan

Btw, what's the best GT500 NSX besides the stealth? Just asking, as I might use the NSX for the Championship.
