I'll let someone be the host. Wardez is not online so we'll make the room now and start checking the cars.

EDIT: wardez is here :D

Hello i added CSL and Litchi pls confirm me in your friendlist i dont can join in a lobby with dont confirm.

The Stealth GT-R, modified to spec has 608 PP, when it says it should have 607.

Got disconnected, although I was expecting it as I was disconnected already once during PP checks and was getting lag spikes throughout the pace lap and first lap. I'm bummed about missing out on the race, but it was just a pre-season race so it's no big deal. At least it gives me more time to prepare for the Miata race.

Mine is the same. The specs for the Stealth GT-R are not entirely correct. With the listed power limit it hits 608pp, when it should be 607 like you said.

Just disconnected on a really hopefully race for me at Monza....

good start at Qualify done about a 44.8 on the Calsonic GT-R... so i started 5th with 3NSX and 1 Supra in front of me. The flying start was well i was able to overtake 3 cars so i had little fight with the 2nd place NSX. was all nice till i disconnected in just lap 4 or 5..... normally i dont disconnect so i dont know what happend. i was so happy to waited these days of that race and now its just gone in 4laps... im really pissed .. sry its the short version of my 4laps so i dont know anything much because it happends so fast... im not in count to talk that much atm...

A race to forget. was leading till the first pitstop. aderrm was 4 sec behind. I pitted on lap 15 so did aderrm. the pitcrew decided to give aderrm a present and gave him a 6 sec lead. i just lost 10 sec with 1 pitstop. really???? 2nd lap after the pitstop i disconnected. happy end.

My car is sitting cause I had to go get my kids from their moms.

What a day. I screw up and run the NSX on worn tires. Never tested :(

So obviously I lose it. Slide a rediculous amount at a slow speed into the wall. Damaged. So come around pitted. Left the pit as my phone rings crash in turn one cause missed brake point. Boys mom. Park it. Get off phone gotta leave now to get kids. So parked car in pits and left.

Id like the replay do please don't kick me. I grab when I get back.

Allright so I started 3rd and on the first chicane I pass IMMORTALPILOT for 2nd spot. Timeattack is alread far ahead so IMMORTALPILOT and I battle for 2-3 laps. He makes a mistake at Lesmo 1 and one lap later I disconnect.

Had my race ruined on lap 1 because someone behind me decided that patience isn't in their vocabulary and damaged me twice. First on the 2nd chicane, Second in the 2nd Lesmo, without giving the position back. Great job.

Everything seemed find after that, until my mommy decided that she'd barge into my room and distract me, making me crash right before my pitstop. Crashed twice after that and decided I've had enough.

Qualified pole, floored it quite early but still giving enough time for everyone to sort themselves out. NOSS was the only person who kept with me for the first few corners. I go into the second chicane with my 2 left wheels on the red+white. The badly modelled black+yellow bumps on the inside of these chicanes decide to suddenly point my car 30 degrees to the left making me go into the gravel. I rejoined the track, and tried to get off of the racing line trying not to collect anyone but instead made myself into a mobile chicane for Chorda. Sorry about that. :guilty:

I was either 5th or 6th and for a few laps I tried to break away from the pack. Eventually managed to shake off Minion where I was now 7+ seconds behind NOSS. I got it down to 3 seconds at one point thanks to a mistake on his behalf, but I made a mistake the lap after. :P

I was 3 or 4 seconds behind him going into the pits, but he didn't brake (enough) making his car reset to the start of the pit lane and then holding him in his box for 10 seconds or something.

After a few laps on fresh tyres I did a 43.9. I suspect people in the other room beat that by a country mile. NOSS dc'ed, and after trying to put in another fast lap I got it wide in Lesmo 1 and hit the inside giving me front right damage. Thankfully the next person up the road was 40+ seconds behind. :)

Where is written the number of room 2?? I am in the room 2 atm and number is: 1472-6118-3615-5258-8550 ...

Ansem29_GTPlay (and PureGT_Muzz i think?) could not join the room because the number is not written anywhere ...

I hope this problem will not happen during the season. If necessary, I can be the host of your rooms in the future...

I used my willpower again, in order to finish the race, dead last. I don't think I'm TOO slow, but I can't control the car enough to avoid crashing, spinning, or semi-spinning, which means a lot of damages, extra pit-stops and other stuff like that. I need a lot of training to do, or the races will be a nightmare for me...

On the other hand, good organisation despite the initial chaos. I'm glad we're all oranised people.

I believe most of us got held in the pits, it seems you have to brake a bit entering or the game gives you a hold up.:indiff:
It'd be nice if PD just told us these things.

I was in no position to improve my spot though. Started off not getting a quali lap in because of distractions, so I started in the back, drove very cautious and careful as surely half the field would crash. :D
Saved tires, went to 17 before pitting, only ran a best lap of 44.8, but no crashes and no major offs lead to a decent overall run.
And I was sort of right, everyone except Aderrrm either blew their engines (DC), or had more pit stops and/or some more serious off's. I definitely pulled a tortoise and the hair race today.

I lead a lap. :)
Came out of pits after holdup 44 seconds behind Aderrm, from being right behind when I pitted. :( I had already assumed, but knew then I was simply holding on for second, and did so rather easily.

Was fun and definitely a good learning experience, handy to know to brake entering the pits here.👍
I'll definitely do some testing before the season race @ Monza to make sure braking works (entering pits), and try to get a rough idea what speed is the limit.

It isn't anywhere atm.
If you have anyone on your friends list that was in the room, you could follow them, but the room numbers are supposed to be posted.

Given that you've posted this before the race has finished and so you can't possibly have taken time to review the replay, I feel that you're missing a few of the facts.

It was me that hit you at the 2nd. I apologise for that. I was braking hard behind you into the chicane and I could see that you had space in front of you. You were down to ~90kmh and still a good three car lengths back from the corner when I hit you. I assumed that you would let off the brakes and flow through the corner. You didn't, and I bounced off the back corner of you, then you turned in sharply and collected me in the side as we went through the corner. My bad. Sorry.

I didn't hit you through the Lesmos, I was in the gravel trap at the chicane having gotten off the track after I hit you. That would have been someone else.

Again, I'm sorry for the incident but I assure you that it wasn't intentional. I'd appreciate it if you didn't accuse me of not giving up places and the like without at least taking the time to review the incident in the replay.

Yeah I take full responsibility on missing the room number post.

I got caught up trying to do spec. checks and it completely slipped my mind. It won't happen in the future as that's usually the first thing I do when opening a room but I just didn't have my head right for that crucial first step for some reason.

Ansem was the only victim of my incompetency so a huge heart-felt apology goes out to him. Truly sorry and if I can do anything to possibly make it up to him I'd do it.

The race was pretty good though,
were you using a pad Tony1311?

I let immortalpilot/tony kart join the race last second and he qualified pretty highly right out the gate so kudos to another fast driver 👍

Every one seemed to have an off except our race winner The_Outlaw, congrats btw Brock. I had one while having a good gap in second place to the rest on lap 20 or so, right at the parabolica... straight into the wall. Decided against pitting and just went on with a jerky right front :/

Anyway, it was fun, grid was messed up at the start for some reason though... Good thing we're never going to let GT sort the grids during the season :P

Cheers, see you all soon on the flip side.

I'll accept it next time I'm on, np:tup: Sorry, didn't see it till after the race reading this.

Im seriously thinking about leaving, possibly the worst race I have ever had. I already don't like the specs to start, but Im here because of you guys and the organization and competition present in the series. If these things are gone, I may consider leaving. I'll think about it. I dont want to do it, but if Im not having fun then there's no point continuing...

What exactly's wrong with the specs? May help us to look into it more closely.

Also Muzz, I'll try and upload a replay for us, I'll post the link here when I do it later. Cheers

Litchi I got in fine. No big deal to search open lobbys for it so long as 'All Regions' is selected.

My race:

I had a good race as long as it lasted. Started last but picked it up to 8th within a couple of laps due to incidents up front of me and people trying to go to fast on cold tyres.

DC'd lap 16 at the 1st chicane straight after pitting end of lap 15. Had no damage all race. All my practice was paying off until I DC'd.

Everyone seems a little or a lot faster than me but I'm going to rely on my brains rather than speed to bring me through.

Can't wait to get into the real thing with proper qualy and grid positions.

Thanks to all the organisers. I really appreciate what you are doing!!! 👍👍👍👍

Remove the ballast from all the cars. Just hate it, makes cars feel heavy. I dont care much about lap times, I just want the cars to feel right. WSGTC had no ballast so why here? If Im not mistaken WSGTC's specs were pretty balanced, even the Z snatched a victory.

Also, reduce the power on the NSX. Im saying this, because the car is too powerful for tracks like Monza or Spa, but then its too weak for Laguna or Monaco due to its very loose rear. The Lexus is the opposite, too good at Laguna but too weak at Monza. Cant we keep this as close as the real Super GT? Why try so hard and change so much? Leave the weight alone, and just tweak PP/HP to balance things out. IMO, ballast isnt good to balance things out, changes the car's handling, affecting tire wear.

Just trying to help out, that's all.

First, I'll ask, do you currently want an NSX?

The WSGTC specs have the NSX at 540HP. 29 more ponies then current spec.
If you think the faster cars are dominating now, you'd really hate WSGTC specs. I raced Monza there, I could hold even (barely) in old slipstream down the straights. The NSX's were absolute MONSTERS on high speed tracks, much less so now then before. GTR's and SC430's are in turn, slowed down for tighter tracks.

My best three lap times this week:
NSX: 1:44.9
YMS: 1:44.9
Bandai: 1:45.0

You should have picked the YMS Supra if you didn't want any ballast on the car ;)

I think the guys here have done a great job in getting the cars on par and if anyone feels different, then they should really have put a bigger effort into the testing phase to help out more with some factual evidence to assist in balancing the cars. I for one will be happy to take whatever car I end up with, which could be a Supra, NSX or Lexus and I will treat it as a challenge to run as high in this very competitive series as possible.

As for the Monza race, well, it didn't go quite as planned! lol Qualified well with a 44.7 in the YMS Supra which put me in 5th for the start. Got a run on Tony (Supersic) at the start of lap 2/3 and made a pass with the draft into the chicane only to get hit on the inside by a flying Nepalii. Unfortunately I sustained damage to the front right of my car and while assessing the extent of this, I tried to stay out of the way to let cars by. Dropped back to 7th/8th or so and continued to drive hard with my wheel held on an angle, :D. Had fun with Rees and Wardez, before pitting slightly early at the end of lap 13 due to damaged car. Used brakes entering the pits and everything went smoothly :)

Exited pit alongside IMMORTALPILOT (who was now 2nd as a few had DC'd or retired graciously) and ahead of Wardez by a few seconds. Enjoyed a hard battle with IP for a number of laps where the differences between the Supra and GTR were very apparent, until I made a schoolboy error exiting parabolica and spun, fortunately missing the walls! Wardez took 3rd, until his mistake a little later on lap 20 I think where I was able to regain 2nd as IP had also graciously exited the race. Kept it all together from here with worn tyres due to early pit and spin and finished a mere 55s behind Brock! Great job up front too 👍

Incident packed for sure, but a good learning curve for another pre-season race.

I actually thought it was Paul who hit me both times, but it turns out that it looks as if you dive-bombed both of us and I was the unlucky one who got clobbered.

I hit the brakes slightly early as I had a car directly in front of me, but otherwise took my normal line, only to get absolutely clobbered for seemingly no reason. Sucks, because I had finally gotten the car to where I wanted it, and was laying down personal bests whenever I could get a clean lap in.

👎

Hopefully next week, when it counts, is better.

Thanks.👍
We did a lot of testing, and when it got to the point where I was really torn about which cars had the "edge" so to speak, I realized that to me, it couldn't really be any better. A hard choice on car selection was exactly the goal, from what I hear, it sounds like we've all chosen pretty diversely, so that makes me happy. :)

Monza is definitely a crash inducing track, very important to learn draft braking lines, along with solo braking lines there. And of course the attention lags most of us seem to get sometimes.
But all in all, I think Monza is a great track for racing, where there's problems on Monza, there's a driver error behind it, just like every other track.👍

The lap times dont bother me much, its the feel of the cars. The ballast isnt right, imo, on the Lexus or GTR. Car feels heavy. The NSX too light, too loose. Like I said, my biggest issue isnt HP/PP but the weight. Leave them stock.
I agree the GTR feels a bit heavy, but the YMS feels lopsided, the NSX lopsided, the YMS and Bandai don't have enough downforce, the Castrol is heavy compared to everything when 50kgs heavier (stock) and the Z, SC430's, and GTR are all now a bit heavy.
Every car has a disability now, instead of every car but a select few.

If we were to drop the weight from the GTR's, Z, and SC430's, everything else immediately needs more power, and will clobber them even worse on fast tracks like Monza, Spa, Le Sarthe, etc.
The problem that comes in here, is it makes the variance between tracks double what it is now, and the group of cars (NSX, Bandai, YMS) that we just added power to all suffer traction/tire wear issues.

Also, sorry to say, laptimes are very important in the equation. I'm certainly not picking a car a full second slower around most tracks, etc, who would?

But why bring a disability to every car? You know its impossible to bring the cars very close to each other, so why not make them at least good to handle? Give an advantage to every car. The Lexus will always be the slowest on straights but its handling makes up for the loss on straights, but at these specs not even the handling saves it. Feels too heavy. NSX too light. You can tell by the car lineup at the last races. How many Lexus were on today? 2? How many NSX at Laguna? Probably none. IMO, it cant be like that. There will always be differences but we cant sacrifice cars to bring them closer. I personally, dont like that.

Edit: Look at real life specs and make these cars close to the real life specs. Due to GT5's engine break in, HP HAS to be tweaked but weight shouldn't be tweaked at all.
