And yeah hardly ever had "disconnected from the lobby server". When I have, it's normally when the room crashes and this time it hasn't. Still 9 people in the room.

Since you're here Den, what's the word on where people who didn't qualify start for race 2? Are they assumed to be at the bottom of the qualifying table so they start at the front? Or do they start at the back both races? There was some discussion going on before race 1 as to which was correct.

Imo, there are 2 solutions:

- Quali are not mandatory: the guy who didn't quali start at back of the both races

- Quali are mandatory: Original PURE Rules applies, no problem.

BTW, there's a great race going on in D1, 2-6th are within 2-3 seconds, Wii, Wardez, Paginas, TimeAttack and Biffy all bunched up gunning it out about 25 second behind Tony, who is probably a bit bored. I would have been more then happy to try

I was damaged, but only very slightly; didn't affect me at all. I saw the people in front of me go, so I went, only to realize that Reevos hadn't gone yet. I hit the brakes to avoid hitting someone, as we all checked up, and got hit myself. I ended up ahead of a couple of people that started ahead of me, so I gave those spots back, too.


I'm stuck in 6th, my 2nd stint I had a couple of mental lapses, and went off, so I had no chance of catching Scanny and Owens, and Litchi is parked in the pits behind me. 3rd stint I went all out to see how fast I could go (got a 58.1, hoping for a 57), but I killed off the tires doing so. Spun off, got damaged and lapped (another goal missed, if only slightly), so I parked it myself on lap 32.

I swear, there's some curse against me where something has to happen to me whenever I'm doing remotely decent. Some of it my fault, other times, I have nothing to do with it.

I'm sorry about those who suffered dc's today. I honestly am.

But I had the worst racing weekend of my life. Qualy was ****** up already. Race 1 was stupid, as I spun twice and damaged the car, which messed up my strategy completely. It was out of sheer luck that I finished second to last. Then on Race 2, I was doing decent, but I almost spun, lost momentum and got hit by CSL (no worries mate 👍), which damaged my car. This happened at 1st corner so had to do a whole lap with a damaged car, stop, and finish dead last, of course.

I mean, I was the slowest of the bunch to begin with, so these troubles only made it worse. Honestly, this was depressing. Sorry, gotta go cry over this.

GT5 online been goofy today. Second race I got a really bad frame rate around a racer. It was removing my grip too. Really Wierd. Got stressed from it being chop chop and ended up bobbling from it. Then the stress meter through the roof trying make the time back. I over did it and not 15 Secs later I was off course again. I had reached my GT5 BS limit. Hahaha I got off track.

First race was luck. Many DC'd

Not sure why people behind me were jumping the person in front of them on the start.

I asked 3 or 4 times prior to start, where exactly I was supposed to start the race. No one gave me a definitive answer.

So on the formation lap, I told everyone to be careful at the beginning of the formation lap, as I was going to spot the starting line for our race. I stopped at it, declared it over the chat. And I saw a few chat messages in agreement. From there we ran the formation.

To start the race, I started at the specific line I stated. I have no idea why anyone would jump the person in front of them. If everyone in front of you hasn't gone, then why in the world would you think it is a good idea to floor it.

Hopefully it didn't mess up anyone's race. I think the GT5 servers were the main culprit for some people not getting to have a good race. The servers have been so much less stable since PD/Sony shut them down for maintenance.

I know the GT5 servers cost me my place in D1 last week. Unfortunately, it will cost others points this week. For anyone that got disconnected today, I FEEL for you. Sucks big time.

Other than the above mentioned, I actually had quite a good race today. My first doubleheader. Pretty stoked I rebounded from my demotion, and put forth a solid effort.

I am very disappointed. I was told to start at the back for the second race. I clarified this with the room organiser, Litchi, before the race. He stood by it.

I clearly stated my option not to qualify here (https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=6319759#post6319759).

We have had word from the organisers that this is accepted under the current rules here (https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=6284140#post6284140), and I quote:

Bottom line, I want everyone to quali. If you don't because of tactical reasons, it's ok. Just make sure to state so in the thread. Cause if you do not quali, and do not state your intention, it will be viewed upon as a "No Show".
It's perhaps strict, but me and Wardez strong belief is that we need to have expectations on eachother when it comes to commitment and communication to keep the level in the championship as a whole up to standards.

I know a lot of you disagree with this as a tactic, but as it's stands it's valid and has been verified to be so by the organisers.

As such, the results of the second race are not really representative, and I object to the room organisers taking it into their own hands to modify the rules. Litchi did a great job organising the room and getting the race going smoothly, but minutes before a race is not the time to be changing rules, I feel. Particularly one that has such a large effect on the race.

If the series decides to have people who don't qualify start at the back for both races, that's fine. But the drivers have to be informed beforehand so that they can take appropriate action.

While we're here, I don't appreciate being called a "wimp" and other such derogatory terms (thanks MULE) for not qualifying when I'm simply coming along to race and have fun. I race as I see fit, and I'd appreciate if people could step off and not abuse me for doing so.
